Blockchain technology is one of the greatest invention and it has many use cases but until now it's only used in the crypto space so let's discuss what are the possible areas which can be used to make the existing system a better one.
The top on my list is polling the vote since it's tamper proof there's no way that it can be altered once someone casted their vote for a candidate.

there have been projects in the past being suggested as to what else can be done with blockchain besides cryptocurrencies such as election system or used for product authenticity verification which is going to be a n amazing use but so far there's no development seen related to them.
a database surely can be implemented in every company. there ain't no reason i guess to make records permanent. any company today would prefers something they can modify.

They prefer the system that can be modified because whenever they have a lawsuit against them or any legal consequences they'll look for a way to dodge it and for that they need old system but what if government enforcing a mandate that says every records should be kept on blockchain too, for starters it looks too much to ask but if they do it will bring transparency into the system and who knows it may help the crooked system to get better with such ideas.

i saw something really interesting where blockchain technology is used for retail either for inventory purposes or supply management it could also have many applications in healthcare for example patient records to ensure maximum efficiency of monitoring patients, staff verification to ensure safety among the hospital grounds and pharmaceutical records that could help monitor financial and medical implications i am sure there are more that has not been properly explored yet

coming from a country where there has always been accusations of cheating and manipulation i wish we start using the blockchain technology for elections i am sure it will do our country a huge favor however i am also sure it will be costly and many politicians will not be so willing to expose themselves to risks

There have been multiple experimental elections were done using digital Electoral machines but those were considered as easily compromisable because of the single point of failure but implementing blockchain into the voting machine will be the solution for the tampering and since it's tamper proof there's no way someone can alter the results once the election done and cost won't be that high, imagine countries who says wants to be eco-friendly can save lot of trees though.

I remember watching a video related to this topic. One of the arguments against this that I kind of agree with is that not everybody understands how blockchain or crypto works in general, hence they can't trust them at all. Of course, this assumes that everyone needs to understand how the election process happened before we can consider it a good election. I think if blockchain or crypto becomes more mainstream and there are multiple pilot elections, it will be easier to sell this idea to the general public. CMIIW.

Its first association with the crypto world, however blockchain technology is rapidly expanding and being used in many other areas that utilize its natural properties of transparency, security, and decentralization. Blockchain development continues to accelerate as companies realize its ability to tackle tough challenges in a variety of fields, thus paving the way for a more distributed and trusted digital future. Even anytime you want complete control over your own data, blockchain can be a viable solution in a censorship and resistant and irreversible manner.

Since every business now is data driven, then blockchain can be used to any of this business, like healthcare, supply chain and others. Just imagine supply chain, I've supported a big client before and so with that, we played with a lot of data and people in the higher ups makes their daily decision based on this numbers and data. So imagine if they will have the data ready for them, what and when is the product delivered, how big it is and other important questions that they need to know in order to make that critical decision. And so with blockchain, they can just easily see it real time and makes their job easy.
