Well, I tried to download the app on my iOS device and I was told that the wallet is not available for my region - I’m kinda surprised because since it’s a crypto wallet isn’t it supposed to be available globally?
I’ll love another Nigerian to try and search for the wallet in their device and see if they’ll be allowed to download it - so that I’ll know if it’s a general issue or not.

Same thing with me. Quite disappointing for a crypto service to have any geo-restrictions. Especially when it comes to an ordinary wallet, and not any exchange service or coin trade.
Question, what happens to eligible users when they travel to a country that is under restrictions?
Can such a user use the wallet undisturbed, given that he will connect from a banned area?

I saw that BTT users are also talking about this restriction. It would certainly be good to hear an official announcement about this, maybe it's just a mistake that will be corrected. Also, there are other questions, so the involvement of someone from the team would be desirable.
Various features are not worth much if they are limited only to certain users.

Op what happened to the campaign in the other forum (BTT) that you have not picked the 6 participants for about two weeks now, the selection of participants in such campaign would have been 24 hours since it is for test running the project. As for the restriction I think those who were complaining are are registering now but some countries are still restricted.

You can change the IP address to any European IP, delete Google Play files and connect then you will be able to download the application. The service is under development and the forum is multinational so it may be better to have a global version and the services are restricted.

It should be kept in mind that at some point they will also have a KYC request. It is from their official announcement, I guess will be a request from a partner who will provide an exchange option within the wallet.
With these two conditions, geo-restrictions and KYC, this wallet becomes quite unattractive.

It’s true that the downloading process is a bit stressful but after you successfully download the app you won’t be needing any additional resources to run it (I mean VPN) so it’s not useless, if you’re curious to know how the app works then you can go ahead and download it through the steps provided above.

Why should I even bother using a VPN to download a wallet that is supposed to be non-custodial, which simply means that its should be available for all countries to use?
And them even making a list of supported countries as seen on the screenshot you shared hints to the fact that this wallet might be another centralized wallet that only appears to be non-custodial on the surface.
Thing is, there are several wallet options on the market fully trusted non-custodial wallet with verifiable open source code, and if those still works very well and have never disappointed for years now, personally, I have no need of trying something new which I am not even sure I can trust completely.

What exactly is Elysium Army?
I saw on website that this ''army'' is coming soon, but I can't find more information about this.
I would like to see source code released for Elysium wallet, but I suspect this is closed source protected with copyright.
I also noticed they use some mambo jumbo proprietary algorithm for transactions.

This particular geo-restriction is coming from Apple. An app developer has to enable the app for the relevant app stores before distributing, but the message you're seeing is because it's not on the App Store in your country
There are many programs like this.
In Android you can at least bypass it by downloading the apk directly. Soon, side-loading should be coming to iOS devices (in the EU, at least), so distributing the .ipa file directly should solve that problem too.

It's not so much a matter of the technical part and how the geo-restriction is implemented. The thing is a cryptocurrency wallet that has geo-restrictions, plus KYC will be implemented.
This is a simple example of traditional banking, which is the complete opposite of what Bitcoin and the cryptosystem represent.

Yes, I think that's exactly the problem, and then to ensure a certain "consistency" they also did it for Android
