So if I'm understanding the post interface correctly, there is no option for me to create a poll when I start a new topic?
Other forums do support creating polls and they are running an old version of Simple Machines Forum at that. Since this is a new version, what is going on? Did upstream remove polls from the source code? Or is it just disabled by the admin?

I do not see that this option has been removed, it is clearly visible in the middle of the bar where the options "NEW TOPIC - NEW POOL - MARK READ" are located. I'm not sure if there is a poll option in every board, but all the main boards certainly have it.

Right, I see it now. I was looking at the "other options" under POST - PREVIEW and didn't see it there. So it threw me off a bit.
