I just learned this earlier today there is actually a weather modification law in US where they require companies involved in weather modification to warn the government 10 days before they impl ment the modification.
I heard this from a podcast though but I googled and it seems real. Do you think this is just a conspiracy theory or real?

Yes, there is a law about anyone experimenting with such a thing first requiring a permit!
But!!!
This doensn't mean anyone is capable of doing such a thing at all, you an search online and see how futile the idea of detonating nukes inside a hurricane to stop it would be as we lack the power to do it. So no, we're not capable of modifying the weather, the only thing we can do is cloud seeding to stop hailstone on smaller areas by transforming it to rain, the rest is just tinfoil conspiracy!
You also can't push a moose out of a flying plane as it's illegal, but....

There are many strange laws are there especially in US just to protect if someone goes out on the line.
Here are some it's illegal to catch a fish with bare hands, need to pay the same parking fee if someone tied an elephant, illegal to walk on the cross line with their ducks on head and this list goes on...

nope it’s definitely real
people do weather modification due to various reasons but most of them is to minimize the damaging effects of extreme conditions for example is there is a severe drought through cloud seeding some do this also for agricultural purposes and to avoid any damage to crops or avoid any waste
the us allows this because it also gives way to research and development

I don't know about the laws in your country but here in my beloving country, I only knew cloud seeding and I don't know if we have the same law as yours where we can't "modify" weather of some sort which is new to me because I haven't heard of it yet here in my place. I don't know if someone can modify a typhoon, which is our visitor most of the time in a year. I also see a video where the guys use an air defense cannon to seed cloud maybe that was from China.

Its just interesting to see there are articles like this https://www.aoml.noaa.gov/hurricane_blog/70th-anniversary-of-the-first-hurricane-seeding-experiment/#:~:text=On%20the%20afternoon%20of%20October,seeding%20it%20with%20freezing%20nuclei.
On the afternoon of October 13, 1947, an Air Force B-17 aircraft penetrated a hurricane 415 miles (667 km) east of Jacksonville and dumped several pounds of crushed dry ice into the storm, just to see what would happen. This was the first attempt to modify a tropical cyclone by seeding it with freezing nuclei. It was almost the
They experiment findings was that the storm swerve to different direction when they tried to seeding it. The head cheif of GE aanounce that 99% the storm change direction due to them seeding it.

I have heard and seen reports of weather modifications in some places like Dubai, I didn't know it was also now a thing in he US.
But since weather modification is now possible and it can be a dangerous thing, it is important that there is a law to control people and companies who may be interested in doing it.

And it was later proved that we would need to dump not 100 kilos, not a full aircraft but 10 full cargo ships of dry ice that would react instantly to the water and grab all the heat from the wind at perfect exchange to diminish the force of a hurricane by 1%.
Correlation does not imply causation and all the experiments afterwards proved there was none!
We don't have anything right now that could stop a hurricane, it's a problem of physics!

Yes, weather modification is real Things like cloud seeding, where chemicals are used to make it rain, have been around for years. It's not science fiction, but its scale and impact are usually smaller than what conspiracy theories suggest. Governments and companies do it but must follow laws, like notifying the government before making changes.

And it's also real that US army had used weather modification during the war in Vietnam. It was said before their troops rappels from a chopper, they always pour a heavy rain so that those Vietnamese hiding under a tunnel will flooded.
Kind a conspiracy theory again but seem a lot of theory been proven in the past. It's why people are also not believing what government is saying anymore.

We can’t seem to be amazed more on how technology is taking the forefront in global development. I have never imagined a day will come where humans can use technology to modify weather forecast and experiment them. I don’t know how far this technology will continue to amaze us, but it seems that a lot is yet to unveil in this revolutionary world. This should be something impressive but one can only say it is, if the aftermath of this does not cause any disadvantage or effect afterwards. If you’ve seen it in a podcast, then I don’t think it’s a conspiracy theory but actually real.
