Title: What's your thoughts about puffer finance
Post by: Sarionadukecom on October 11, 2024, 06:23:32 AM
We're starting to see many liquid staking projects launch on Eigenlayer, which is a positive development. When it comes to liquid staking on Ethereum, the minimum requirement is 32 ETH, but with Puffer, it's only 1 ETH. do you think this lower entry threshold could give Puffer an advantage in terms of accessibility and potentially boost their TVL?

1 ETH is still not a joke, it's not something anyone can just pull out of their pockets and give. With that amount, it might attract more scammers to copy this model (assuming puffer is legit). It might also get the attention of farm hunters if they add more perks like future drops.

Even though their protocol has lower requirements for restaking, I still think they limit accessibility because 1 ETH is not a small amount. However, it does give them an advantage, especially compared to other restaking protocols with a minimum stake of 32 ETH. And since users are allowed to stake Puffer tokens to collect governance tokens, one could take that route and focus on accumulating tokens elsewhere.

But it's better than 32 yes?? Yeah they've got season 2 drops from what I can see. Season one airdrop would be given to about 7.5% of their total supply

Well I reckon a lot of people can't afford that 1 ETH staking requirement but the thing I think puffer did well is their airdrop. The listing is soon and most people are checking their eligibility already and  several events are already flying around with Bitget and Bybit already having launchpools for it

Stop spreading false information. 32 ETH requirement only applies if you perform solo staking[1] or using staking as a service[2]. But if you choose Liquid staking (suchas Lido), the minimum is much lower or even have no minimum[3].
