Are you getting this error message : Sorry, you can't repeat a karma action without waiting 10 hours.
after giving a single karma ?
meaning first time you give this person since some time.
-
Yes. Each time. The karma is being added anyway.

I guess, a month or so, but not sure. Here's the topic about this issue https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=324851.0

Yes, and it still is. I got the same message this morning, even though I was inactive for more than 10 hours before that, and the karma point was given to a user I certainly didn't give to in the previous 24 hours.
-
Yes, I'm also facing that issue since 2 weeks and I thought to create a topic about the error but I didn't posted it as I checked the Karma I was trying to send was sent without issue but surely that error is awful. I hope soon we'll have a patch to fix the bug that's causing the error.

Not each time, only when it's supposed to be. For example if I gave you karma now it will add +1 even after getting the error but if I repeat that again in between the 10 hour limit I will only get the error notification but not the +1 so as I have mentioned the Karma counting is not affected only the error pop up when it's not supposed to be.

Oh man...and I thought I am banned from giving a karma hehehe...the karma went through despite the message that I have to wait for 10 hour to make a karma. I am hoping the notice can be repealed as soon as possible...

I’ve read so many complaints (there were up to two threads ) and still I haven’t experienced it.
I recently gave karma and I got no notification about the karma limit.
-
yes ,same here .

I was having this problem a few days ago
I've tested it now with 3 different users including you and now everything seems to be ok, no problems at all +karma

I tried to give karma to you twice, the warning appears if we send karma in the same account before 10 hours have passed. It seems like there is a special need for those who can send karma without limit, Like Moderators, President, Legendary VIP etc.(https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/10/28/KVeTj.png)

Well, the ongoing discussions about getting warning just for the first karma attempt itself not when you try to give second in the 10 hours time limit.
I haven't experienced the error in the recent days, probably the issue is resolved and I'll let here know if I had any.

As I said in the chat, I haven't had this karma problem for a few days now.
admin, if nothing has been changed in the SMF code itself, is there a possibility that this limitation came from the hosting settings? cache that was not cleared or something similar.
-
Haven't had this message in years, unless double clicking of course. I used to have it from time to time but don't see it anymore for some reason...

That's unfortunate but that's enough i guess, i havent experienced it yet recently though.
Is the karma feature is default mod from smf? Or you customized it for this forum? Adding a success message just like the error message after hitting the karma will have an impact on this, well, i guess.

I don't think it's fixed. I just tried to send you more than 1 karma. The first one got through, but the second gave me an error. I have been facing this issue for quite some time. At first, I thought it was like a feature, rule, or limitation for lower ranked members. I always wondered why some legendary members are saying +3 or +2 in their posts. I mean, why would they do that, since one could only send 1!
An Error Has Occurred!

The rule is that only 1 karma point can be given to the same user in 10 hours. There is certainly no quantity limit, you can give 1 karma point to ten different users. The problem being discussed here is something entirely different.
Moderators are exceptions and they can give more than one karma point to the same user without a time limit. That's why you see it +2 or +3.
By the way, the problem from the first post seems to have disappeared, it hasn't happened to me in a long time.
