Masked party?
I think the problem with a blockchain party is that there will be only/mostly men lol
Maybe a conference is interesting to create some social network , meet people and learn stuff, but I want to have fun in parties 8)

I am not so sure if I would like to attend a masked party even if it would be for the blockchain. I am hoping that OP can share more of the details of this conference. From time to time, I read in the news of many cryptocurrency-focused conferences...but a masked one would be a little strange...at least for me. I am not so sure if anybody here would be interested with this kind of a party/conference. Usually a masked party can be full of mystery or mystique...something that may run contrary to one goal of a conference which is networking with people of the same interest, focus and ideas.

Never at all because the city I live in is a small town and such blockchain Events only exist in big cities, so it's far enough to be able to attend them.
I saw a lot of people on Twitter posting themselves attending such an event, with many attendees attending and presenting their projects.
It looks quite exciting and also has a lot of interesting prizes to get, but it takes a long distance for me to be able to attend it.

Never had and as much as I want, I might not get to attend any too, because simply I'm a introvert person. So if you are fond with people around and doesn't have any phobia or comfortable with people, then why not?
Maybe you can meet someone that can change the world for you, or find the perfect project that will make a lot of money.
-
Masked party? Are you serious here, i have never heard of a bitcoin or blockchain conference were people show up in masks, how weird and uncomfortable is that going to be.
If you are worried about your privacy and your security, then do not attend such conferences, there is no need to wear a mask to one. Can you share a link to the conference you are considering attending later this month?

I'm as confused as others who replied before me. I've never attended a blockchain mask party or any mask party, for that matter. I'm not sure of the specific plans the organizers have made, as it seems the focus is on having fun rather than learning.
But I have attended few Blockchain seminars, where ideas are been shared, rather than the whole fun thing. Though, the learning is also fun as well.
-
Looks like they literally want an annonymous party.
I don't get the purpose though because if it means making connections with few people who is also in ths blockchain i dustry it make sense to know more of them.
But maybe its not mandated tk wear the mask at all times. I wanted to attend a blockchain conference party years ago, but its far from my city though. If its just a few mile drive I would like to attend and see if I can make friends.

Women are getting into blockchain and web3 these days so I doubt if it'll just men. Plus women makes any party better. Don't you think?.

I did a quick google search, It's actually part of Blockchain Life 2024, an event that's happening in Dubai and attendees will need to win tickets to join the party. Well the idea behind it is to add some fun and creativity to the event. it would add an element of mystery tho, but the goal is usually to network and connect with others face-to-face.

Oh this is an idea I was talking about ahah. It's fun, but I'm not in Dubai... Seems there's a dress code and some kinda giveaway tickets attached. Good luck to those that'll attend. When I meet up with my local crypto community. I'll propose this..

Hi everyone. Has anyone attended a blockchain masked party before? Please share your experiences. I'm considering going to one later this month!
Well, I've never attended a masked party, they seem rather perilous and could pose more risks than rewards. I generally avoid putting myself in such precarious situations. I prefer the anonymity of my laptop screen to becoming a target for malicious individuals.
With Halloween approaching, those inclined towards masks can always do their own makeup. As for crypto/blockchain conferences, participation is feasible but contingent on them being professionally organized and featuring prominent industry figures.

Mask party? i don't think so, but something of this kind is not common like the bitcoin conference and talkshows, I've also attended some seminars on bitcoin organized by some group of developers and crypto enthusiasts with he intention of making a full delivery to their immediate community by equipping the people especially the young ones with the very informations needed the digital technology.t

Not actually attended any party to say, but I've attended some Blockchain conference before and it was a nice experience. I remember it was new token which just lunched and they decided to have some conference. There was games, competition and alot of things to learn from Blockchain guru. I think I also was able to wins a few gifts and they also distributed some of the tokens to the audience. It was a fun experience though.. there's another one coming up this weekend but I'm not sure I will be chanced to attend...

Lol, op's thread is very funny and so i understand the funny responses. However, it is true that there are women in the cryptocurrency industry, but i am not sure the number is large, i believe men still dominate the crypto industry and women are in the minority.

crypto is about anonymity so it is not a surprise to me that people involved in crypto would want to remain the same way unless they are a very big name already in the industry in which they won’t be able to hide or remain anonymous anymore but for others with a more regular life, we want to protect our privacy and identity
But maybe its not mandated tk wear the mask at all times. I wanted to attend a blockchain conference party years ago, but its far from my city though. If its just a few mile drive I would like to attend and see if I can make friends.
i mean we make connections here in the forum despite not knowing each other’s real names and/or seeing each other’s faces so i am guessing if they are to wear masks they will not disclose their real names and will likely connect through platforms where they do not use their own names

Attending blockchain conferences is very beneficial. These events introduces new digital tokens had games and contests and experts shared valuable information. We can learn and meet people and even win prizes at these conferences. I was lucky to get gifts and tokens which made it even more exciting.
These events show how promising blockchain technology is. Combining learning and new ideas and fun makes for unforgettable experience. I plan to attend more conferences and recommend them to anyone interested in blockchain.

You're right. Men dominate. But I think women are keeping score

I wish I could and I am waiting for that time when I and the other people of our region are able to join in the blockchain party or the conference.
We cannot attend the blog chain party or conference because crypto currency is illegal in our country and the government has not yet supported any program related to this. Although the country's situation has changed, the government has changed, I am hopeful that we can arrange various blog chain parties or crypto conferences in our country. And we can enjoy and meet our local mates in different parts of our country.
-

Yeah, good thing they are, i believe everyone should be involved in the network, men and women alike, there should be no sort of gender barrier. I have noticed that the number of women interested in crypto stuffs in my community has increased, i now see women talking about wallets, airdrops and different kind of crypto stuffs, it is a good development.

Yep sure I don't see things that way but because we in the forum don't trust much when it comes to making transactions, I think it would help if meeting someone out there who would sell their BTC or USDT in the party.
This will be an anonymous transactio even when we see each other. I have not seen a local organization arranging parties like this where we could trade coins.

Who is the host? How is your present needed there? And on what agenda is this Blockchain party designed for?
What Blockchain precisely are you referring by the way because the whole scenario is turned off.
Anyways... I have not attended such party before and I am sure not going to find I fun either.

I don't even know if op is telling us about their fantasy, lol. The only reason i can think of why people would want to wear a mask to a BTC conference is for privacy reasons, but masks would even make things even more awkward, if someone is worried about their privacy, then they are better off not attending such conferences.

Hi everyone. Has anyone attended a blockchain masked party before? Please share your experiences. I'm considering going to one later this month!
Why a masked party for a blockchain conference? Is it some kind of illegal conference that doesn’t need people to show their face to the public? Calling it a party makes it abnormal to me though. If a blockchain is to be held, it should be to get to meet great minds that share similar thoughts and ideas and hiding your face in such gathering makes no sense to me though. I wonder how your blockchain masked party is going to be and how they decided to come up with such, you can share what you’re expecting it to be also, kinda how the conference is going to be like with masks on, I’m really curious to know about it.

Wearing a mask to a blockchain conference is better off not going at all because I don't see any reason why I would go to a gathering that I would hide my face for no reason. Going to a blockchain conference does not mean that you will be vulnerable to scam or attack by anyone, because if you don't brag about your crypto wealth no one would think you have any. Since bitcoin is not fiat that third party is involved, only if you are storing your coins in third party custody. It is a place to meet people to learn and buy whatever is brought there for sales if you are interested in them.

Probably because crypto/blockchain is decentralized and free. I'm guessing it'll be fun.

Are you simply telling us about your fantasy? In your op you said you'll be attending one later this month, who's organizing it or is it all in your head? BTC is decentralized and free, but that does not mean bitcoiners should show up in a conference wearing masks, if you are concerned about privacy, don't attend BTC conferences.

It's a bit funny to be a masked party for a blockchain event, unless it's a closed and illegal event in the country, but of course its distribution will also be kept secret. In my country, that's not a problem, and in fact there are several blockchain events that are held routinely every year, by different organizers. and this is legal, because crypto is legal here as long as it is a commodity asset and is not used as a means of payment to replace Rupiah.
I have personally attended, but it was an online blockchain event, and it took place quite a long time, several days of the event. there are many things that are revealed and there is a lot of information that we can get from such a conference. it's just that for attending directly on the spot, I personally have never done it. because several events are held outside the city which is quite far from where I live. So, yes, it's just not the right time yet. If there is an opportunity, I really want to join, because I will definitely meet people who are enthusiastic and competent in their respective fields.
-
Never visited a big conference in those big buildings, but for online conferences I have attended... and there are detailed explanations about each person's vision... it might be useful for me someday...
For those who have no intention of learning, maybe the conference is not the right place... but for those who want to learn crypto more deeply, the conference can be a source of knowledge by learning from the experiences of great people in the world.

Made me recall an online event I viewed years ago. It's free for the public so I didn't think it's a secret conference or anything, although if you wanted to view all of the programs you have to attend in person. I think it was discontinued a few years ago though. Probably failed to attract interest from other VCs and failed to follow the market trend closely. Not to mention the tickets were quite expensive as far as I recall. Did you need to pay for tickets for online streaming at this conference you attended?
but for those who want to learn crypto more deeply, the conference can be a source of knowledge by learning from the experiences of great people in the world.
Are you sure it's effective? Compared to reading infographics or researches done such as one made by Coingecko, do you think it's worth to attend one?

Hi everyone. Has anyone attended a blockchain masked party before? Please share your experiences. I'm considering going to one later this month!
I will be careful of the kind of party I attend, especially when I am not very familiar with the organizers. I have been in one of such events before; there was a crypto meet-up between crypto enthusiasts and then I visited to see how it went. It was a waste of time because I observed that the organizers simple wanted to promote their own exchange in the process.
It is not a guarantee that you will learn something new whenever you attend one of these kinds of crypto events. This is why you have to be careful because they are not always necessary.

I don't want to sound too dismissive, but i don't think there is that much to learn from a BTC conference that simply lasts a few hours, when you can get enough resources online or in this forum and build up your knowledge about BTC and the blockchain. I have never attended a conference like this and i have no intention of doing so.

i think it can be beneficial and helpful to someone not very knowledgeable of bitcoin yet a conference that lasts only a few hours can be enough to make a person's mind about bitcoin and at least learn the fundamentals
even if you are not a beginner and you pretty much know a lot already about bitcoin you can still go and enjoy it just for the event alone because i am sure there are freebies and other gifts that they give those who attend and not to mention this is a perfect place to socialize and network with like minded people

Hi everyone. Has anyone attended a blockchain masked party before? Please share your experiences. I'm considering going to one later this month!
What there are masked parties for blockchain! So what people go there by wearing some kind of mask so they don't see each other's faces? I never heard about such a party before, if it's even real in the first place. And to be honest, if someone is that conscious of their privacy and anonymity that they don't want to show their face to anyone else.
Then they should not go to these parties but I don't care haha, so If I would have the chance I will definitely go even if I had to wear a mask. I hope masks won't be a problem for anyone to talk with each other and share their ideas. Learning is what matters most.

Hi everyone. Has anyone attended a blockchain masked party before?
I have a reason not to attend blockchain parties or blockchain meetings because I prioritize privacy, I prefer to watch the meeting online from my place of residence which I have kept secret. Cryptocurrency is full of privacy and I am more comfortable with my privacy which I have maintained so far. If there is a free invitation to a face to face meeting in my inbox, my answer will definitely be to politely decline.
Please share your experiences. I'm considering going to one later this month!
No, I have never had a face to face meeting experience about blockchain in cryptocurrency. I am more comfortable like this privacy and maintaining my own personal anonymity. Btw, what blockchain meeting are you going to this month? Or have you visited the blockchain meeting?

Being a private have it own advantages and drawbacks too, but involving yourself in activities like blockchain parties I don’t think is something that is hard to do and most parties like that gives each individual to hide their identities so you will still be in privacy. More to it learning and meeting a lot of traders like you in person is really something impressive and very interesting at least a lot of ideas will be shared and you may keep to one of it and so many traders will really love to meet each other to learn more and benefits from each other’s trading strategies and experiences. So I will say you should really try and involve yourself in activities like that it very educative and still learning doesn’t stop we keep learning everyday of our lives so I will really like to advise you to at least take part in it sometimes.

It seems that besides not daring to visit the blockchain meeting, I also have a strong sense of shame and also my English is definitely not that good. Although I can also directly join the blockchain meeting and can cover my privacy with a mask or fake identity, I think it's better to avoid it. My strong sense of shame to meet many people. :(
More to it learning and meeting a lot of traders like you in person is really something impressive and very interesting at least a lot of ideas will be shared and you may keep to one of it and so many traders will really love to meet each other to learn more and benefits from each other’s trading strategies and experiences.
Of course there is a lot of experience and I am sure that those who hold blockchain meetings are people who are experts in every step of cryptocurrency. I definitely appreciate and respect them with my personal fortitude.
So I will say you should really try and involve yourself in activities like that it very educative and still learning doesn’t stop we keep learning everyday of our lives so I will really like to advise you to at least take part in it sometimes.
Thanks for your advice and I will always remember your advice and I accept it. But sorry for now it seems like I will still feel embarrassed to visit the blockchain meeting and I better stay at home or watch the meeting via Youtube streaming.

I'm thinking of joining one in the future (if there is), but the problem is that I don't know if the knowledge and ideas that I can get would be worth the time and effort that I'm spending knowing that almost all of the information can be seen on the internet already.
A party would be nice, but as an introvert, it's a meh!!! A conference? Like what I said, the information that I need to learn are almost on the internet already, so I don't see any benefit from me on going to a conference. An online conference would be a good idea though and if it's free of course. :D
