It's almost Halloween period again and if there's one thing we love about CEXs are their events during the holiday period
I'm sure a lot of exchanges are releasing weird ass Halloween events right now, I just want to know which one you guys might have seen that is worth it

Yes there are. However I'm more or a decentralisation enthusiasts than a Centralised exchange kind of person and similarly if you check majority of the active members here came from bitcoin talk too and as such they too are likely decentralisation enthusiasts. Here the idea of decentralisation is gradually begining to stir up though it isn't as intense as on BITCOINTALK.
Anyways mixero has organised multiple contests here but they are mainly predictions and I haven't come across any Halloween contest here on ALTcoins talks. Anyways I bet the forum would happily participate if you too hosted a contest ;D

I can see that holidays like Halloween and Christmas time can be good time for many crypto platforms to do some promotional events to attract more people and eyeball to their business. I am not updated of these many famous CEXs that we have in the market and so when I think of one I searched for Binance promo and they have their own Halloween Pumpkin Chase (https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/join-the-halloween-pumpkin-chase-for-a-chance-to-get-10-bnb-da7bfa5d55c34d7982db21567d530f70) for a Chance to Get 10 BNB! So those who love Halloween events and who also love Binance can now head in there and maybe participate so they can get a slice of the big prize.

Decentralization has always been the bane of BTC and Satoshi specified that. But I believe it you're a proper crypto person, you'll get a bit of centralized too as that's where some of the fun is.
Someone said Halloween holidays could be a way to get more promotion to platforms and I've also sighted one myself on Bg. If you do search across this forum, you may find some or host one yourself ahah.

Decentralisation is actually one of the core reasons for the creation of bitcoin by SATOSHI NAKAMOTO just like you said. The truth is decentralisation enthusiasts are actually in support of bitcoin based on the fact that it is based on a fully decentralised network. Like I always say, the idea behind decentralisation is that everyone on the network has their own fraction of power and control on the network and that's the exact principle that bitcoin works on.
Every single person making use of the bitcoin network ranging from the regular small scale HODLER to the bigger HODLERs known as whales to the developers and even miners, every one has their own fraction of control over the network.

Be careful of the Halloween events that you chase, because scammers know that people who are interested in cryptocurrency may also be interested in any rewarding Halloween events where they could earn up some cryptocurrency, and it is not impossible for them to create a fake link and a fake event just to get people like you to drop some kind of important details, which can compromise your security. If you must be engaged Halloween events, make sure that it is an event that is promoted by the official platform of the reputable exchange and not something outside it.

I also don't seem to know much about Halloween events in the crypto business, I may have also missed the news feed on Binance about Halloween. Usually Halloween is about something bad or ghosts so I also feel anxious because it could be that a brand that has hacking skills could provide a link for Give Away in the link there is malware that can steal our data at any time.

Me too since I am not a visiting centalized exchanges for a while other than checking for prices and stuff but promos or events I really have no idea. But I think some exchanges do contest or challenge but I am not participating any of it since I don't trade right now.

Bane? Seriously? BTC is decentralized and free from the control of any third party and that is the major reason why a lot of us use it, to escape the 'bondage' of fiat. I don't understand what you said above, about decentralization being the bane of the network, maybe you can clarify on that.

i don’t interact with cexs honestly so i do not know if they have any halloween themed promos/bonuses the only ones i see are of those from gambling sites there are also lots of contests relating to halloween be it something about art or something else but those are usually just posted by members of the crypto community giving out a few incentives as a prize holidays are always a good time for the community

When I read each post, many experienced members are also rarely trading in the market now because maybe the market does not allow for profit, isn't that right?
So, this also has an effect on the Halloween event which I think seeing my experience yesterday it seems that the event is not very interesting to be followed by the crypto community.
