Spamming are unwanted posts.

If you want to avoid spamming, look at the profile of well established members on this forum. Study how they are posting. Not that they will just come here to post but there are thoughts in their posts.

Also make sure that you read what other people are posting. If you can not read all, read what good posters posted. It is important.

Research, know what is going on in crypto space which can help in your contribution on this forum.

Welcome to the forum once more . Avoiding spamming is really a easy task to do try not to talk off topics avoid posting a small line post , avoid posting uninformative content like try and post things that will help and contribute to the discussion and also to the forum . Bring a lot of contributions to the forum try and learn about topics before replying them talk about things you know and ask about things you don’t know but not roughly but very confidential and polite .
Try and look forwards for higher ranks users learn from them and avoid disrespect. Ask them what you don’t know and do a lot of research and before asking or giving advice or suggestions, pay more attention to the forum be active that the more you will learn a lot try and take a look around the forum and find some interesting articles to share and learn.
And lastly avoid plagiarism to avoid punishment and strikes .

What kind of spam?

Do you mean you don't want to be a spammer who posts something empty in a short time span? Try to learn to reply to a post with a clear intention and purpose... make sure you have a point to make and don't repeat a point that has already been made. Natural human ideas are more appreciated here, than copy paste from AI.

Or maybe you want to avoid spam messages that often appear in your email inbox?
block it my friend, or unsubscribe to stop getting spam from other people.

Spam posts contribute nothing useful to the forum, they are annoying meaningless contents that often times violates the forum rules. Study the pattern of posting here and try to give good original contents following same pattern.

Each board in the altcoinstalk forum have their specific rules, try to read and understand these rules in the pinned posts so you do not end up posting things that goes against the rules of that particular board and the forum as a whole.

Ensure that you understand the topic before you join the discussions there, this will help you post only ideas that are relevant to the ongoing discussion.

Understand the forum rules and the purpose of the forum so you will know what to post and what not to post. Some information you may think are relevant may not really be relevant to the forum.

If you don't post something that you didn't understand yet itself a step of being valuable contribution, just focus on learning and no one knows everything so just try spend time on reading and once you feel like you good enough to reply to valid question will make the right move. Also if you want to get recognised then pick certain niche and post more in that board than in general discussions.

Op you are welcome to one of the cryptocurrency forum where different Cryptocurrencies are discussed. There are two things you have to do in the forum if you want excel. You have to read other people post and make comments if you understand any of the post and that is you are to contribute to knowledge when you have done the two things. You are here to learn if you don't know it before and when you learned then you have to educate others. That means you are here to learn and educate.

And for you to avoid spamming, you have to read more and post less. Post 10 to 20 minutes interval and post 10 or below a day and don't post what some has posted before.

You're welcome, mate. There's a lot to learn here, but as a newbie, you should start by learning about the forum. This will help you avoid spam and other conduct that could get you penalized, and the forum also provides knowledge about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
In order to prevent spamming as a newbie, don't just come and go posting a lot of irrelevant information, instead, make sure your messages are helpful and that you understand the topics before participating in any discussions. Don't take someone else's information as your own, that is plagiarism. You can see it written on some users' profiles. Any users you notice with those indicators are not valuable to other users here, so always stay active and conduct research on cryptocurrencies if that is what you are here for.

Don't contribute on discussions that you are not knowledgeable on, look for board of your interest and try doing your own research to verify what you want to know. Like others have said above, this is a cryptocurrency forum, read people's post and learn from them. Don't plagiarize, and avoid posting low quality post.

Hi, I'm new here and I'm curious on how not to involve in spamming, how do I avoid spamming?
Your posts are good and you have already earned one karma means someone liked your stay and posts here so you are already on the right track. If you are new to crypto then you must learn about the posts like what the other posts are saying to you it's not about making topics you can make comments too.

To avoid spamming you should read the rules (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=316199.0) first that the admin has mentioned. These rules will give you the clear cut idea and besides it you should write good posts with correct info.

You avoid spamming by simply acquiring knowledge, if you know what a discussion is about, you will be able to contribute to it without spamming or going off-topic. Don't put yourself under any pressure, just learn and also talk about what interests you, and also ask questions when necessary, goodluck.

Hi, I'm new here and I'm curious on how not to involve in spamming, how do I avoid spamming?
Literally, there are some meaning of spamming, one of them is here:
Quote
Leaving multiple comments that are irrelevant, repetitive, or contain links to unrelated or suspicious websites in an attempt to gain visibility or drive traffic.
Taken from: https://later.com/social-media-glossary/spamming/

From the above meaning, the meaning and intent are very clear. So to avoid spamming, don't do things that fit the description of "spamming" itself.

In this forum, it's the same, so never make posts that are not relevant, do it repeatedly, especially in a very short period of time, then you ignore the rules in the forum by making trash posts that often lead to something you are promoting.

The point is, to avoid becoming shit spammers, start learning more about the rules and some information on this forum, one of which is here:
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=3171.0

Then, take the time to learn how most users here make posts, how to make good posts, by informative, relevant, on-topic (not off topic).

Simply don't post bursting with off topic response on any of the threads, i guess its self-explanatory to asked and to answer. Make your post with time interval at least 5 minutes even though you can come up with answer and response on some questions/threads so fast.

Spamming is subjective. Different users have different definitions to spamming.

For me, my definition of spamming is "making consecutive posts with only a short amount of time between them, and most of them doesn't have any thought of value at all". To prevent being included in the spammers, always, always think on what you're posting. Share your opinion based on the topic and it would be better if you're knowledgeable about the particular topic because that will help you not making generic posts.

Good luck OP, and I hope you will be active here for a long time. :)

Being aware of crypto scams In order to protect yourself against crypto con games, you need to practice a lot understand the many things in which you are likely to be scammed if you participate. Phishing and social engineering attacks can steal your personal information from your social accounts. Unrecognized mail may arrive in your gmail and tempt you with big money. Practice safe browsing habits and don't share your private keys. A new member in crypto can fall victim to scam in any number of ways. So you can reduce your risk by being aware of common digital asset scams and following key best practices.

Op was not talking about crypto scams, but how to avoid spamming in the forum, read the op again and the subject of this topic. However, it is not bad for op to still get some knowledge about crypto scams, so many people are losing their money to these scammers and only the knowledgeable ones are evading it.

Actually there is no barrier for scam so it can originate from anywhere. Like this forum may have scammer but we don't know but they always target new users. When i first came to btt and presented a topic on buying paypal dollers. After some time many people messaged me on telegram and without any reference they want to do the transaction first. In fact, their target was to take dollars from me and then block me. I am familiar with many such incidents so to keep adequate security and avoid scams one should not trust crypto easily.

Good for you that you have an understanding of scams and how scammers operate, as for trusting crypto, there are a lot of new scam projects that are ready to rug pull investors and steal money from people who are interested in the project. However, like i said, op was talking about spamming, so we can discuss about scam in another topic and get right back on topic in this one.

This is a good point about scam activities in the forum. However, your responses do not align with the topic being discussed, which makes it an off-topic. You can carefully read the OP to get a proper understanding of the topic being discussed. OP is actually talking about ways to avoid SPAMMING in the forum.

When you make low-quality posts that are very short and unrelated to the topic, like:

"Bitcoin to the moon!"

"Asfgafsgaf"

"+1"

Then that is considered spam.

As a general rule, if your post is less than 50 characters long, it is probably spam.

I understand everything you are saying here but to be more precise you said “post less than 50 characters is considered shit post or spam” but some post ain’t really even enough to be 50 characters and they are worth more informative than some long characters post, some post don’t really need long characters to be understood some just some few words and it will server more information than other long post. What I’m trying to say in nut  shell is that some post are less than 50 characters and they are worth more information than some long post please try to be precise about something please.

More so, your post I just quote now is less than 50 characters and it worth more information than other comments or replies , maybe or maybe not  the OP might even find your comment more helpful than others replies.

Hi, I'm new here and I'm curious on how not to involve in spamming, how do I avoid spamming?

I am always impressed by such questions.
Just act like a real person

In real life, do you engage in discussions saying a bunch of nonsense without listening what the discussion is about?
Do you say useless things all the time?

Spam is basically that

Basically all you have to do is follow the forum rules. I suppose you have read the forum rules (although it may seem silly, it can avoid many problems in the future), at least the most basic ones. In any case, I leave you several links that will make you understand things much better and you will also learn how to avoid problems and possible penalties.
