Do you continue hodling or sell? A lot of people say to hold no matter what happens and I'm not advocating daytrading but I think in a situation like this, it'd be advantageous to sell.
Thoughts? What would you do?

If the target of profit has been reached i will sell the coins, but it depends on our strategy of investment into cryptocurrencies, we have different strategy of investment in cryptocurrencies, i will hodl if the coins can gives passive income. So everything depending on the strategy of investment of the community, should the people make investment plan before desicions to invest in cryptocurrencies.

It depends on the market conditions, for example, we have seen 500-1000% gains in many alts in the last bull run in january but it was short lived and now bears are dominating the market, and im sure majority of holders did not take profits and still holding their coins even when they were able to make life changing profits, it depends on individual needs as well but i think greed takes over and one thinks that market will make more moves and continue upwards so no need to sell.
-
Selling of coins should always have a target. If your target has reached, then you can sell it. I will definitely sell my coins if it reaches 200% increase.
-
What would you do if your coin increased 40% to 200% in value over night? If my coin rises 40% at night I wait a moment for higher up his other story if at night my coin up 200% I think enough of his time I will sell

Totally selling it!!!. I mean its a rare opportunity. But such fortunate event comes rarely. Guess it takes a miracle for it to happen. BTW it is more strategic to sell it immediately if that should happen

First i will be very happy. Most probably i will make a withdrawal of 10-20% and let the remaining to run. You might be thinking by doing this i am wasting a good opportunity to earn more as the coin is in a bull run. However you must know that there is always risk of the coin value drop or something happen that cause the value to drop. So i rather play safe by earning lesser but i am still able to keep my profit.
-
We hodl to make profits so why wait again when there is 200% profit.
Well, some may wish for more but I will definitely sell

I have experience this before and I didn't sell because I am hoping for a higher price but later on, the price went down so I regret that I didn't sell it then. I should just have sold it then buy back later on when the price is cheaper. Now, when something like this happens, I would definitely sell it.
-
I will sell when it reach 200%. Even it will reach 400% in the next day, 200% is good enough for me.
-
Of course im going to do when coin increase into 40% to 200% I sell it into a market right away no need to kept long because it is a chances the value over night increased.
-
With this kind of situation, i think even the team will start dumping their coins. Most people are holding because of they are waiting for good price. So if the price is good, why not selling
-
Same as I did before, will take the profit out and keep the original investment for other coin holding.
-
Anytime my coin increase in price by even 20%, I sell part and hodl the rest. But if you are going to hodl your coin, no matter what, then you must be willing to hodl it for a very long time you know?
-
If I faced this situation, I think I would have another day hold and see what would happen. If the price began to fall, then I would sell this coin, and if the price continued to rise, then I would hold.
-

I have been there before, some of my coins went to 200% and i did not sell, hoping it to go even higher. Well most of them ending up dropping/correction, while a handful goes even higher. So it is all about how you handle your portfoilo. If you do not have any idea, you may not be able to have a clear judgement to sell or to buy or to hold.

-
I will sell the coin because when it comes down to the initial price it must be very painful.
believe in cryptocurrency that there shouldn't be rich "greedy"

I will sell it, If my coin increase 40% to 200% in value over night. I will get alot benefits from it.
-
I think we will also sell it now, because we will also get more profits, and we will also wait for cheap prices so we will buy them, so we will get better profits with high selling prices, because the development of altcoin prices is also more good every day.
-
If market conditions recover and increase I will choose to sell my coins and wait for a good time to buy back when Crypto has decreased. Selling and holding requires the ability to choose the right time to sell and buy.
-
If that happen why we hold it for so long, sell it. We are always waiting any time to increase this coins so that we can earn much more. 40% much better to sell the coins, but 200% so much better, wow we wish that will happen. As for now we can wait and see how the coins increase as we expected.
-
When? Will if that happen all my coins i will sell it all of them, to make me more happy and become rich. That is the only reason why we always waiting for increasing the price of coins so that we cannot hold our coins for so long. That's why i always check my accounts to check if the coins are in high prices.
-
Depends on the amount of coin i'm holding. But probably would sell 80% of the coin to re-invest in other coin, while holding 20% of the remaining coin to wait and sell at 300%.
-

of course I will sell my coin. Because I have gotten alot of profit, If the coin increased 40% to 200% in value over night.
-
It would be stupid not to sell. An overnight increase like that seldom happens. A major dump dump usually happens after that.
-
It will depend on the project or coin, I will sell it if I know that the coin or tokens is only a pump and dump coin, But if the project is good I will still sell it and will going to wait for the dipped of it for the buy back.
-
I will surely sell my coin when hit that margin. My target price was just 20% from my capital then it should be the right time to sell the coin and look for another one or just convert it to fiat. The 200% was very huge profit that would surely be a lucky day for me. I'm holding pins for now because of the bear market but when market goes up. Surely I will sell all my holdings.
-
SELL. There might be a tendency that the coin you are holding can gradually decrease in value also. So whatever it takes, grab the opportunity ahead of time. Do not wait until the value of your token is unprofitable.
-

If that will happen it should be better if you sell your token immediately don't believe for someone who spreading the word saying, hold your coin. Avoid being greedy, having profit is enough than regret later.
-
Depends on the coin. I would sell if this increase is just an one-off thing and won't happen in future. If it's a good coin, I'd hodl and see the price dynamics. If it's dropping fast, for some reason, I'd sell.
-
It's definitely worth considering selling and then either taking profit or buying back in if/when it drops again. As someone already mentioned, it will depend on market conditions, but I would always at least check out the option. Most coins that rise that much overnight now will drop back within a day or two, so even if they don't drop back all the way, you can normally increase your holding. I did it a few times towards the end of last year, and although I could have made more by holding, I regret it less than not selling and watching profits evaporate.
-
if I think we have achieved more profits, I will also release it, and we will also wait for prices to go down to get more altcoins, so I think we will also find it easier to get more profits.
-
we started seeing these kinda coins nowadays. I hope to see more, right now keeping my coins for at least x3.
Don't want to regret selling them at %20 profit
-
If I faced this situation, I think I would have another day hold and see what would happen. If the price began to fall, then I would sell this coin, and if the price continued to rise, then I would hold.
-
I think I will sell the coins and use some of the profits to start the other tradings because the number of percentage has reached my target to sell. This is about the ways to get the profits and ignore loss.
-
What is clear is that if the coin I hold increases by 200% and even exceeds the maximum price point, then that is my biggest chance to sell my coins at a great price. Automatically I will get a big profit and can increase my confidence in the coin.
-
If I. I will keep holding it, no matter the market is red, but come on, now the market is green again :) and this is a good sign to start a better day. the return of the green color on the market should not be wasted, it must be welcomed by remaining optimistic that it will continue to rise to a minimum of 200% :)

I did that, sold when the price went 4x, when the bitcoin hit 2000 and shattered previous highs, and than it went on to hit 20,000, so in that particular case those that were saying to hold were right. I think it depends on the person, someone want to sell and take the profit, someone wants to hold, one person's decision is not a right decision for another.
-

If the coin increased 40% to 200% in value over night, I will sell my coin. Because I have gotten alot profits.
-
I will sell part of it, basing on my experience my alts getting pump but I was too greedy, and thinking it will go in my direction, but the market is very unpredictable so I lost that opportunity.
-
If you believed to that project no matter what happened you will just keep holding but it's up to you if you're going to sell it at that price then just buy back again at the dipped.
-
As per subject, I would retain the capital and withdraw the profit wherein I may use the profit to buy another promising altcoin in the market. I believe that I should have to invest in another altcoin rather that spending the profit atleast it may again becomes another profit that i may able to use it for my desired need.
-
If market condition get better and growth i am able to pick out to sell my cash and await a terrific time to shop for lower back whilst Crypto has reduced. selling and conserving call for the potential to select the right time to sell and purchase.
-
As it seems to me to sell it is necessary only in the event that the expected price was reached, and you received the desired result!
-
Every token that you have will have a specific target and amount of money that you will like to sell it. If a coin goes up to 200% in a day, I will sell the coins and not hold it.
-
of course I would choose to sell it, because getting that big in one night is very difficult to get and usually the increase won't last long, so if we want to do long term we can buy it again when the price falls again.
-
I would sell it. Now there are no 1000%+, yes, last year there was Pump. Now is a difficult time for Cryptocurrency :(

It'd depends on how willing you are to take the risk, but if you are a person who is always giving value to every profit you have no matter how small it is as long as the profit hit your price target then it is better to sell.
-
If your coin increased in that price of 40% to 200% that is a profit you can sell it to make money that is a big pump don't waste any time and chance because the market is dumping very fast like a blink of an eye. Always check your updates about your coin, check it from time to time it might hype the price for a bit and slowly decrease in instant. No one knows if the market price will increase in each coin it depends of the ICO if their coin is sold out.
-
With this sort of situation, i suppose even the crew will begin dumping their coins. the majority are keeping due to they are awaiting desirable charge. So if the rate is ideal, why not promoting.
