Title: Do you noticed any increase in litecoin?
Post by: SmartGold01 on November 08, 2024, 09:31:10 PM
From my last check on the bitcoin increase reaching 77k plus, all other coin has also made tremendous increased but I didn't see it reflecting to litecoin. I want to know what has happened to it or does it mean that investors doesn't longer have interest to invest in LTC or what is the cause for the stagnation.

Let's discuss.

I also totally agree with you, LiteCoin is like there is no upward movement in price so I am also confused to express about Litecoin's progress. I checked it on coingecko with All time frame, it turns out that the graphic chart is still below the All Time High price of Litecoin, this is very sad but this is cryptocurrency. Maybe another time Litecoin can go up in price again but all of that requires various good news for Litecoin to go up in price.
Currently the price of LiteCoin is around $72.33 with an increase rate of around 1.4%, while Bitcoin has reached a new All Time High or a silly / Fun Meme coin like Doge yesterday I saw it increase by more than 10%. It seems that LiteCoin has not found a good performance to increase at this time.

I don't know what happened to Litecoin because honestly I don't really understand how Litecoin works. Looking at various sources on Google, Litecoin uses the Proof of Work (POW) method, which means it works the same way as Bitcoin.
If you look at the market conditions that are increasing in price and Bitcoin has passed 76,200 dollars, Litecoin should also increase but this is still the same or maybe Litecoin has not reached the "altcoin seasons" as members say in every information on this forum.

Yeah I have also came across that same comment where users keep saying altcoin season and I am now gradually beginning to sense that would be cause, judging from BNB and Ethereum you would see there is no much pushed in the market all this while these coins has been maintaining a market stability of +2-3% increase over the bitcoin rally.

And more seriously, now I see BNB being overtaken by Solana, this is not surprising because it has been like this for the past few months but unfortunately BNB seems less than optimal at this time. I see the market cap of BNB is around 88.2 billion USD and Solana's market cap is around 98.2 billion USD. Just look at the huge difference between Solana's market cap and BNB.
But if BNB, Solana, Ethereum continue to compete with Litecoin, Litecoin should also be able to compete while increasing the market cap of Litecoin itself.

Ever since Litecoin network add MimbleWimble which aims to improve privacy, some exchange either decide to or unable to support Litecoin anymore. I'm sure it's one of reason Litecoin price rise slower than Bitcoin and other altcoin.

Litecoin may not be a strong competitor in terms of return on investment, but it is still a good altcoin, and with the updates related to privacy and others, it may not be attractive to investors at the present time, but it may be so in the future, so it is likely that we will not see a positive interaction during 2025, and may be a good investment after 10 years, unlike most tokens that will disappear in 2027, new projects will appear, and so on.

Litecoin doesn't have that supports as lot of investors has already switched over to Sol seeing that it's already creating waves and attracting more investors than others, though there are so many projects which has been launched by the sol network include meme and the hype is all over which is causing this much attention and surging in price. Yes of course the market Cap can't be compared for any day due to changes and variation is much.

Compared to many altcoins, LTC has underperformed or not risen as expected, it is one of the few altcoins that has not broken the old ATH. After it surpasses $500 then its performance will be acceptable but we are very far from those levels.

Same thing I noticed was well because when comparing to the previous price you would understand that LTC not performing fine. Currently the price at 117$ which if compared to how other coin make significant increase you would know that lot of people aren't that interested in LTC and they have put much attention on quick rising projects than LTC.

But we can't say litecoin will continue to dump like most shitcoins but it is undervalued. It will be hard to know when it will return to good levels but most likely we won't see a real rise in the next 4 years.

If there is any development or such as integration then we can assumed the market would be that favorable for LTC, but for long never hard news about them though I do not join their telegram group to be that updated about this project, unlike XRP that suddenly become big bomb that has risen just within few months which none expected that the price would surge so quickly this way to have achieved the level of $2.4. Maybe we can watch LTC in the next 4 years as you said or above and who knows if there would be a massive pump on that coin.

I have this asset even though it's not too much. But I forgot to check again the development of LTC in the market, whether it has really followed the increase with other altcoins or not, how big the increase is. LTC's position is still ranked 22 in the coin market cap. and its current price is around $100. Actually, if compared to the beginning of this month, the difference is very significant that the price has dropped quite a bit. Early December, the price of LTC could be around $140, but now it has dropped so much. well, it seems that LTC really needs more new breakthroughs and lots of news to make this coin become hype again.

As regards news maybe an ETF for Litecoin in the new year will give it a new lease of life?

They expect new ETFs tied to major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, HBAR, Solana and XRP, though regulatory hurdles may delay some of these products.

LTC has just experienced a strong price surge from 60 USD to 140 USD and is being mentioned in the resurgence of old coins. You should pay attention to LTC in your portfolio if you want to optimize each of its price waves.

Compared to the success of BTC, LTC has become invisible to many investors, it is no longer Digital Silver as it was many years ago. Many better or more interesting projects have taken LTC's place in capital flows and media, which hinders LTC's comeback this season. I used to love LTC but I didn't dare to put LTC in my portfolio.

This cannot be compared to the $400 levels that it failed to reach and is still very far from reaching. Therefore, from an investment perspective, if LTC succeeds and the price is pumped, it will reach the $400 levels that many top50 cryptos have reached.

Its funny how Litecoin is not in more peoples portfolio, it has all the same features and benefits that Bitcoin has.

Secure POW mining
Limited to 84,000,000
Gets nearly all the same upgrades which Bitcoin does
Still being developed

from a transactional point of view it has faster block times and cheap trans fees.

Its just that many people in speculation mode can see big rewards from investing in Litecoin.

Did I see it wrong, because I'm not too focused anymore. LTC feels like it has risen in rank but now the coin is in 23rd position with a price of around $103, or did I see it wrong. Hmm, LTC is a coin that has such a history. It used to have very good development, but it was completely replaced by various new coins that have more significant developments in their projects and communities. In this case. Litecoin fortunately still continues to survive in the market. I still have some of these assets, but they are still stored tightly because the price is still far below the expected price.

What I have noticed about Litecoin is that it doesn't increase immediately when other altcoins are showing a green candlelight. It takes time for her to increase but when it does, she increases significantly.

For her last ATH, I am sure it will increase above it this year. Let's give it time to achieve that. Litecoin is currently at $125

We are seeing an impressive comeback of old coins like TRX and XRP, which is supporting LTC holders' expectations of LTC price increase in the near future. Spot LTC ETF is also a topic mentioned in the community, if it becomes a reality, LTC will have a chance to return to the 400 USD range.

Personally, I don't have LTC and have no intention of investing in LTC because I don't see the future of the Ltc ecosystem. However, LTC may still rise sharply and bring profits to those who dare to believe in digital silver!

Well, I don't think we can compare LTC with BTC in terms of value or price fluctuation. BTC has outperformed most ALTs in terms of price appreciation for over 2 years, while LTC has not shown any signs of growth.

LTC price chart shows LTC has probably exited the $40-100 price bottom but has not been able to break up to touch ATH ~ $400. Many investors hope that LTC will return as impressively as XRP but unfortunately, Litecoin cannot do as well as Ripple. Ripple has fought and won against the SEC, and continuously adds value to the XRP Ledger.

Yes, you are right and we can't in any way compare bitcoin and ltc and like know bitcoin has surpasses most of the altcoin and they all depends on bitcoin to gain some certain percentages in the market. True XRP has gain victory over their case and that has given that coin a new level of price action and reactions against other compelling cryptocurrencies in the market, well let us watch carefully as something striking might also happened within the LTC market. +1 karma for you

Let it be noted that Litecoin is one of the few that managed to recover to its value before this dump.

I have to mention bitmover, who didn't trust in Litecoin. I remember a discussion here about that  :)

I agree that it is quite a surprise. Specially because Litecoin had a very poor performance in the last cycles.

It is now in the 11th in coinmarketcap rank, which is a great recover.

Let´s see how it goes. I wouldnt hold it.. I am just holding Bitcoin and some ethereum (and some shitcoins which are basic worthless now...)

I would not rule out Litecoin as an option for portfolio diversification. I'm even somehow convinced that it's becoming more stable than Ethereum.
For this current strength of Litecoin, much of the credit may belong to the speculations about ETF Approval.

Just in short term.

In the past years, ethereum overperformanced litecoin . Take a look here:

https://coinmarketcap.com/historical/20180204/
(https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/03/01/qpj5m.png)

If litecoin had kept its position in top6, as ethereum maintained in top2, it would be much more expensive now.

LTC price movement is quite fast changing, up and down, and I even missed some of these changes. And it seems like I have to wait longer to find LTC price at a high enough level. Yes, however I have been holding it all this time and it turns out the price prediction is not in accordance with my prediction. Now the price is still at $82, and that is still quite low compared to the past few times. Yes, and now, I just have to wait again, waiting for the altcoin season whether it can really go up again to its ATH or not.
