Title: [ANN] zkNEO - Solana's First Immutable Confidential Transfer Coin
Post by: aratahajime on November 11, 2024, 02:11:59 PM
Announcing the launch of zkNEO - the first immutable, confidential transfer coin on Solana.

zkNEO utilizes Solanas Token-2022 extension, with Zero-Knowledge Proofs to enable private token balances and transfer amounts, while transaction counterparties remain public.

Confidential transfers are not anonymous, and zkNEO should not be considered a 'full privacy coin' in the same way Monero or its peers are.

Token address: 7SPAW8PPi22vnjm2wv48Bp2VhLzUNkfbmcGVmDHvnu9b

Tokenomics:
- Fixed total supply of 21M tokens
- 95% of supply is available on the market, via Solana DEXs
- 5% of supply is allocated to the team

Current price is $0.001, with a total market cap of $21,000.

More information can be found at: zkneo[DOT]net

First, I will tell you that your topic about ANN should be posted in the ANN subforum. (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=21.0)
Second, I have told the Modz of this Solana subforum (Mr Spasybo) to move this topic.

The supply of 21 million allows the price of this coin I think will be a little expensive because the supply value is almost the same as Bitcoin. The volume of zkNEO is also worth $ 21,000 according to you and surely one day if there are many supporters the value of zkNEO will be expensive.

Supply is not everything, it is true that the size of Bitcoin is limited, but you need to mine to get new coins, and there are no coins allocated to the #DevelopmentTeam . 5% is a very large percentage, and making the entire supply available for trading means that its price will not rise much, especially with a market capacity of less than $100,000.

The website have very few details and the documentation is still on works. But do you mind showing few TXID which shows your token truly hide send/receive balance?

I thought 5% was already a small allocation for the team, but it turns out that the allocation for the team is still too much. Maybe the most suitable is just 1% for the team allocation from zkNEO, right friend?
As far as I know, I don't really understand the Solana coin, I haven't studied the system and how Solana's smartcobtracts work.

No one can determine the accuracy of these numbers, they may write 0% for the #DevelopmentTeam  but they may own 90% of the tokens, so it is better to distribute all the tokens in the airdrop and not allocate them, or at least distribute a part and lock the rest.

that means zkNeo also has to change its roadmap if it has to distribute all its coins and if it changes the token distribution roadmap from 1% for the team to 0% it will be good for the project right?
The rest for all zkNeo coins must be locked, maybe for example:

Sale: 90%
Lock: 10%
Team: 0%

Maybe that's good for zkNeo in terms of coin allocation.

I will like the admin to allow project representatives to post their website links so participants can easily click on the link and see the content of the website. Or it is that the Op didn't add the website link in the post? And to the Op this a new project coming to the crypto community therefore for you to make it more popular, you have to meet a manager to propagate it.

And also the logo in the website looks Nigerian Currency.

And the site is just scantily. That is not withstanding, you are welcome to the forum.

This zkNEO appears to be something similar like Liquid Network with it's confidential transactions.
Problem is that it is listed on one of the worst blockchains ever with most offline time from all altcoins, I think another one happened last week again.
I would much rather have something that is 99,9% online like Bitcoin, and use Monero for privacy than this.

With lack of details from their side, it's possible. But OP use term token and doesn't mention term such as layer 2 or sidechain which give impression they only create solana token without any outstanding feature.

I don't know how s0lana works and honestly I don't care about it.
However, I do care about privacy so I am following every development in that direction, even if I don't like some things.
It would be good if aratahajime can tell us more about this project.

It doesn't seem OP plan to answer any of our question. Anyway, after re-visiting their website and checking some links, it seems they simply use Solana's Confidental Token extension/feature rather than creating new privacy technology.
