most athletes dedicate their whole life to the sport of they choosing
lots of them start training as a young kid and then goes to make a career out of it now some athletes become the greatest of the sport while some don't as a sports fan i have seen this happen quite a lot of times maybe they never win a championship or their careers are not as impressive as everyone thought it would be
but how do you cope with this as a fan? i am sure as an athlete it would be feel depressing to dedicate your whole life to a dream you will never get but as a fan i think we are saddened by this too, no? what does it feel when your favorite athlete retires without achieving what everyone thought they would achieve?

I never had this kind of experience, to be honest. I do follow one or two athletes who failed to achieve their potential, but they managed to compete in a lower-tier competition and they seemed happy with their choice. I can't blame them since it's their life, it's not like I invest money to support them or have a contract with them. I do know a fan who buys a lot of stuff and demands so many things from their favorite athletes/artists, though I do think this is rare. That would be unhealthy and I don't think a fan should behave like that to begin with.

I don't have that much interest in other people's life that their successes or failures would influence me, I may feel emotions momentarily but I am quick to move on.

Each person is entitled to decide about his or her own life, which means that every sportsman should have a right to perform at the level that will not disturb hes or her conscience. As fans we should encourage the team with our support without burdening them with pressures that may arise from our support. Appreciation of someone’s work and decisions is more important than expecting a person to deliver what we want. A good example is the fan/artiste or fan/athlete relationship where we come through for them in the best way that is humanly possible without overloading them with demands. By that way, we can make people around us to become more encouraging and more supportive.

I have not dedicated my life to a sport of choice with the goal of making a career. But i have many favorite games from childhood that i thoroughly enjoyed. If you want to make a career with any kind of sport, you have to practice that sport from childhood. It's totally a matter of testing your luck because if you're unlucky, you'll have to practice the sport for the rest of your life and live a depressing life. Even i will feel bad as a fan if my favorite player retires. You may consider your life as an athlete but your performance should always be at a good level so as not to disturb the conscience. I always want to encourage everyone's talent because it can lead them to better positions.

If you think you're good and the best in whatever thing you're doing, then give it some little more time to discover about more other people who are going to meet and overtake you by doing the same thing you do more better, such is life, we keep seeing more people with their various talents as times goes by, they keep unfolding, when we are thinking of having the best, then later do we discover more better players very young and vibrant in that same specialization doing well than the ones we are used to.

Sucesss comes when you enjoy what you do. If you don't enjoy what you do and still somehow are hoping for success, it ain't going to work out.

One of the worst things that can happen to anyone in life is not fulfilling his or her visions and dreams and that is also seen in sports as allot of good athletes and sport men fails to live up to expectations as many sports men and women retires with out wining any truphy this could be due to allot of factors such as injuries and personal reasons such as character because if an athlete have character deficiency it will go a long way to impact negatively on the performance of the athletes

Not all success comes that way some people destiny differs a lot they might not even be enjoying what there are doing but they keep on getting successful so they have no other options than keep on doing it since it coming to be successful. Some people have a different mindset of getting successful but as life goes things don’t go as you plan so they slightly take what can be more achievable. A lot of people have bigger dream of success and with different way to achieve it but destiny keeps them off that track if nothing good is going to happen through that dream.
Some doesn’t even enjoy what they are doing but as far it brings a lot more success they just keep their head to it and forget about their dreams.

I am a football fan, i am glad that my club is doing well as a team, and as for individual accolades, i always admire good players and most times they achieve the success that they deserve. However, there are a few players that never lived up to what was expected of them, either because of injury or lifestyle, it is sad, but it surely does not keep me awake at night.

thankfully we are not athletes ourselves lol we know how passionate we can be about sports and it does upset when my favorite ones don’t win or do well then end up just retiring it does give me the feeling of nostalgia remembering that i thought they would do well only for years to pass and they don’t reach their full potential like i expected
it does keep me thinking how an athlete can recover from not having their life play out the way they thought it would
