Title: When do you think GameFi tokens will start to move?
Post by: Coincollector on November 13, 2024, 07:05:31 PM
We’ve seen memecoins, Layer 1 tokens, and DeFi tokens perform well in this run, but GameFi seems to be lagging. What could be holding it back? I’m keeping an eye on projects like Pixel, Big Time, and Noob. What are your thoughts? Which GameFi tokens are you tracking? Let’s share portfolios and see if we're aligned.

With the failure of the most awaited tap games just a month ago you're going to have to wait, everyone is focused on BTC right now and game coins have really not shinned at all, I really don't see them going anywhere in a short time, the conditions are not there, the hype is focused elsewhere.

The trends you mentioned have developed slightly in the past, but they can't explode yet because large capital flows are still concentrated in BTC due to its high security and guaranteed returns. GameFi was once noted with the success of Tap-to-Earn games on Ton, but these games cannot be scaled to meet the investment and experience needs of users.

After the collapse of hundreds of GameFi projects in 2022, we are seeing the participation of many large game market enterprises. Perhaps they are waiting for a good opportunity to introduce their products to players and investors. I personally believe that GameFi will return and succeed in this cycle, so I am holding IMX with the expectation that IMX price will increase significantly and bring me profits in the bullrun 2025.

After AXIE right?? It seems now money is flowing into memecoins and ETH L1 tokens.. I hope gamefi would return too, because I remember the excitement during that era .

Since the market is coming back to been green, let's see how long it takes for gamefi tokens to catch the fire. For IMX, I'll check it out.. this recently went live and it's dipped 40% already. It's weird giving the bullish market conditions rn.

I think that no one can beat the axie era, because it really hit our country when it was at its height during the pandemic, to be honest. It also helped a lot of people who didn't know anything about crypto, but because the managers of axie were scholars, there were many people who could earn money during these times.

It's still a pandemic, but the scholarship of most people here has become an answer to the axie of their managers who pay them weekly. Now in this day and age, is there anything else like what axie did? Isn't there anymore?

If you're a scholar at that time, it really helps you big time because you will just play, and you will earn and despite of just having a share with the total SLP that you're getting, the fact that you're getting it for free is already a big thing. Now if you're a manager (like me at that time), most probably you end up losing some or most of the money depending on what did you do with those money that you're getting. In my case, we choose to re-invest it and bought more axies only to end up losing our supposed profit instead of just selling it and re-invested it into Bitcoin.

Despite the downfall, there are still players of the game and there are still some rewards on it as well. Your reward will depend on how good you are at the game, but for me, I don't think that it isn't worth the time and effort anymore, but the game is still a good one. :)

I don't hold any token which represent GameFi or blockchain games. But i think we already know the reason such as,
1. Many blockchain games are not fun.
2. For token with tap-to-earn airdrop, some or many player sell it as soon as possible.
3. Non-cryptocurrency user usually perceive game with NFT, token or blockchain as bad game.

       -      I am not familiar with gamefi tokens at this time, but if you are interested in these categories of crypto I think you should try looking or watching videos on youtube apps because many content creators are making topis regarding these matters.

Because currently I am too focused on altcoins that are on the list of top altcoins and include meme coins as well
