Title: How do you learn about new stuffs in Web3?
Post by: NERFEDARTIST on November 20, 2024, 02:05:59 PM
One of the most complicating topic for me in web3 has always been the subject of lending , and mostly because, a lot of the DeFi platforms that we have look very complex, especially for new users, or people new to the topic.

I've seen a few people talk about different solutions like the obvious "go to youtube" "learn more" or even very specific ones like "Use protocols like MORPHO" Apparently, it makes the lending process more seamless.

But I think it's more effective to seek a solution on a crypto inclined platform, hence the need for this writeup.

Learning processes has various means, besides YouTube videos, there are live tutorial on social networks, like on Facebook, and the there are also various books that are educative on wed3 ecosystem. There are also experts on web3 that can deliver good lessons online for newbies traders/investors.
Again, learning web3 is also possible through person to person, especially on 'Crypto Meet Ups' that are usually organized to share knowledge and ideas on cryptocurrency. Many enthusiastic on different geographical zone has successfully carry out different Crypto Meet Ups, and I think it is one of the best venues to learn many things about Cryptocurrency even web3.

I've seen a little about it to understand that it's a decentralised noncustodial lending protocol for Ethereum's virtual machine. What's more Is that it's token can be used for governance, I just might as well check it out on youtube, it looks interesting enough since I did see something about it getting listed, I'm not sure if it's true though.

the forum (obviously this one, maybe even the other one) is indeed the perfect place for any beginner to start learning about something they are curious about but actually i think this forum is a lot more friendly to beginners than in the other platform

anyway whoever told you to go to youtube or learn more has a point many information is out there available to the public but it might seem overwhelming to go look for resources

this article (https://smartvalor.com/ru/news/defi-basics) explains DeFi well as well as explains the protocols within and tells you the use cases of DeFi this is only introduction to the basics or fundamentals but it helps a lot already always good to start somewhere before getting into much complicated stuff

Most of those who lost their money in cryptocurrencies are those who joined lending platforms. We are in a bull market, but when the crypto winter comes, most of these projects fail to fulfill their promises, and then they exploit customer deposits and run away with the money and everything disappears.

There are different boards on here that carter to specifi topics. If you’re curious about Defi there’s a board (this one), curious about any blockchain you must have heard of, there’s one for everyone (or groupped together). Or you want latest news on crypto, there’s also one. All you have to do I browse and come bearing questions. I’m sure one of these boards must have in-depth discussions tailored to their ecosystem on defi services like lending and borrowing.

There are so many protocols, so many projects and so many new ways of using crypto, that we get lost in so much information
But it's not as difficult as it seems, you just have to be patient and really study

Do you have any specific questions about lending?

I didn't understand much about some processes either, but I learned by reading a lot on X, watching some videos on YouTube and looking at the forum
After that, you have to practice, and a nice tip is that there are testnets where you can make transactions with worthless coins and practice to see how everything works
