Post by: Hatchy on December 02, 2024, 07:31:47 PM
I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I'm kind of confused on how to upload images here on altcoinstalks. I used to know these things before, guess my busy schedule is really taking the best of me.. please I remembered we can't use talkimg as it's only for btt. So how do I get to upload my images to I can post them not as a link..

I have made use of talk IMG many times here on ALTcoins talks infact I think TalkImg is the only image uploading platform I've made use of for both forums (Bitcoin talk and altcoin talk) all you literally have to do is upload to TalkImg and then make sure to put the image link you copied in the image tag element in square brackets .
You can adjust the size of the image before uploading it on talk IMG or after uploading you can simply simply adjust the width and height to you desired size using width= attribute.

Just to be clear here is an example. The highlighted icon carries the image tags element. You can quote this post just to see the set up.

Who says you can't use talkimg?
You can use it without any issue!
Also you can use this site as an alternative: https://postimages.org/

The tags and methods are same as BTT.

Are you not familiar with other image hosting like imggb, imgur, and so many more? Also the text editor here for posting have almost the same feature and almost have the same look on btt too that's why its self explanatory for such feature.

Surely you still not understand yet how to upload image in altcoinstalk forum? I think with your account level have reach Hero Member not get difficult for image uploading, check other post user and quote their post to see which site using for uploading image and support in altcoinstalk forum.
but image format have been here and check the top corner feature here "insert image", however if you want get easily quote another post and tracking which kinds website use are using imggb, imgur or talkimg.com using uploading their image?

I would just like to add that you should be considerate when placing images and reduce them to an appropriate size using this simple code, and before publishing, use the Preview button to see how your post looks. Also, refrain from unnecessarily quoting posts that contain oversized images, and if you must do so, edit the size of such images.

Please note that for some reason the images are mostly not visible if you are using the Tor browser.

You would have tried talkimg.com here before asking. Talkimg.com is working very well in this forum and if it is not working from your end, you can use https://imgbb.com/ to upload your images. Talkimg.com is built for btt and is if not guaranteed to work in another forum but it is working. So you can use any images hosting app or website to upload your images.

I can't really remember if I have posted images in this forum yet, but I have done that on btt using imgur.com (http://imgur.com). The imgur site is easy and simple to use, that is what I have been using for a long time now.

Please note that for some reason the images are mostly not visible if you are using the Tor browser.
I previously used Tor browser and you are right, images were not visible, but I guess that because Tor browser blocks javascripts and Js is needed by these forums to show us the images. If we change the privacy level to low, then we can see the images too, and if we increase the level, more functionality (which is user-friendly) will be blocked too, like we won't be able to see the preview of the YT, etc.

I basically leave it tor for this hehe, as pics won't load, so I changed it to brave.

In addition to what you mention, some Tor exit nodes do not load images, so, according to administrators, they do not consume much bandwidth and allow connections to be more efficient.

Fortunately, few nodes are configured this way, so it is not a problem that occurs frequently. When that happens, it is as simple as changing the Tor circuit of the website to which we are connected.

My favorite image hosting has several, here is the list from the top is the one I use most often
1. talkimg.com
2. postimages.org
3. imgbb.com
4. imgur.com
5. prnt.sc

The list above is more friendly and can provide BBCode links that make it easier for us to insert images into posts on this forum... some links are sometimes difficult to reach from certain IP Addresses, so I made a list in case one or two of the links above cannot be accessed by your IP Address....

Until now, talkimg has been my favorite, even though I didn't create an account there... while if I need to archive any images I post, I use postimages.org

I don't post images here much at all but I have to say use talking a lot on bitcointalk and I have donated coin to the owner of the site a few times.

I glad to know it works here.

It seems the imgur website is no more supported here in this forum. Cause when I tried using it recently, it wasn't working, so talkimg was recommended to me by a member here in the forum, which I'm sure lots of the forum members are already aware of and using.

My Question now is, Are Newbies eligible to post images? Or there is a certain rank eligibility for Posting images?

Newbies are eligible to post images that would be visible to everyone on the platform. But, also pay attention to growing Your experience and Your account on this forum as there tons of opportunities here.

you can post and it won't show then you can ask someone to quote you.

At least it works that way on bitcointalk.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there's a post requirement before you can post images on this forum unless you post the image link (there's a link limitation iirc). You can preview your post to see if your image loads properly or not. If you can't post them properly you can also link the image link if worst comes to worst. Judging from your account profile I don't think you need to be worried about this though.

joniboini is correct. I can post an image. I thought there are restrictions for new members to post image. Glad there are none.

Test url to check enable to post url: https://imgbb.com/

Test anchor text: Can you visit imgbb (https://imgbb.com/)?

Uploading images here is nothing strange or difficult to do, it has the same way or pattern as used from other crypto communities, you have the privilege of using either talkimg or imgur as your hosting site, but it was not specified here to only make use of imgur, so you have the privilege of using the two, once you upload them on the site, then you will copy the bbcode and paste it as it is without any editing.
