Title: AltcoinsTalks forum simple monthly report: November 2024
Post by: MrSpasybo on December 02, 2024, 08:15:04 PM
I decided to create a simple monthly report at the end of each month so we can track, compare and evaluate the quality of the forum.

I hope to have everyone's contributions so we can have better reporting in the future. Thank you very much!

+1 though there is a typo in the table, "116.6K" should be "16.6K", based on the report as well as the +2.3K going from 14.3K.

It's good to see the slight uptick in visits last month, but it's only about +16% and nowhere near the summer highs that were 100K+ per month.

This otherwise appears to be highest increase of topics since April, so that's a positive at least, even if the post increase remains similar.

We've had an incredibly successful Moonvember, and I'm not surprised that this data is confirming the FOMO in the market. The forum has seen increased visits and people are staying longer, reading more pages to learn more about crypto and find investment opportunities for themselves.

The uptrend is underway, and I hope we'll soon have many more new members and experienced investors who can turn their experience into profits and then share their knowledge with the altcoinstalks community.

The bounce rate significantly reduced over the year. From all time high 68.06% to 33.19%, more than half which suggests, more people are interested in the forum. The number of users keeps going up. If this pattern continues the forum will have a positive impact. Already it caught many of the investors eyes, new projects have started coming to altcoinstalk.

The number of visits is very low compared to the number of active users and signature campaigns that are still running, how are these statistics calculated?
The good side is that the forum is starting to gain some stability from a clear downward trend, I hope that January will be the beginning of a real rise.

Any news about any ALTT upcoming updates?

Oh, thank you very much for the reminder, I've revised the data in the summary.

We're only in the early stages of the bullrun and the market has only recovered slightly, the FOMO hasn't really been triggered so the excitement can't happen immediately. I expect a 50%-100% increase in traffic this month and next month, when BTC and crypto are mentioned everywhere and AltcoinsTalks can be one of the places where crypto investors can join discussions and find helpful and useful things for their investment journey.

Traffic did increased in this month but I am amazed to see how much traffic it has lost from the Jan to till now. It must be from many factors like the forum was new many investors visited, for more then once just to learn more now they know alot about the forum they don't have to open the site for more then one time as most of the members must be suing proxies or VPNs so maybe a new and unique view is gettin counted here too and that time the views were high in compared to now.

Overall the most of traffic is from India that's also surprising. Overall the stats are good and thanks for creating these stats you deserve more then 1 but here is +1 for you.

I thought in the start of the year that this site by the end of year will have regular views to around 200k but it did not happnened.

Finally we can see some positive trends and increase in forum activity starting from November.
I think Bicoin big price increase was the main reason for this, and autumn with winter usually have better forum activity.
Next month is probably going to be even bigger increase, but wait when we cross $100k ;)

It seems that the increase in rank, reading interest, and number of visitors are influenced by the bullish moment of cryptocurrency that is currently happening... we can see that the price of cryptocurrency is currently green, and the biggest possibility is that many new users are looking for references for information about this cryptocurrency... and currently, information based on user experience has its own appeal, which is why we often find such writings in forums,

In addition to this forum, I think other cryptocurrency niche websites are also experiencing an increase in traffic, because it is also related to information about cryptocurrency which is currently being sought after by many users in the world, even though it is a simple writing.

we can take it as a win to be honest the past few months have been quite worrying because it seemed like the forum wasn’t having much activity but i knew it would get better once bitcoin starts getting better in price and there’s something more to talk about

it’s expected that no one wants to discuss negative things but since we’re receiving good news we should see more activity in the coming months

Thank you for reading my simple report so carefully to recognize the change in AltcoinsTalks forum over time.

I think the silence of crypto forums from the beginning of the year can explain the weakness of many ALTs in the market. BTC price is increasing but not accompanied by FOMO, we haven't had many new F0 investors and crypto has not become an important topic in discussions.

The revival of AltcoinsTalks provides us with more information about the current market sentiment, confirming the start of a bullrun and we can focus on investing and accepting greater risks for greater returns instead of staying in a defensive position in the crypto winter. We still have a chance to reach 200K views in Pumpcember, I will have a report for December 2024 in early 2025 ^^

Yeah, at the start of the year, altcoinstalk slowly getting back as one of the most visited crypto related community. For sure we all know that answer to that as some of the members have teleported here and then there is a big boost of signature campaigns.

Let's hope to see that numbers this December, I do agree that we might see some bigger pumps especially in the last week of this month and leading to January when Trumps officially goes into the White House.

And thanks for the numbers. +1.

Well, we've entered a bull run and the market trend has shifted. FOMO is taking over investors minds, especially now that BTC price has broken through $100K. All doubts and fears have disappeared and given way to explosive greed.

We'll be waiting to see how the crypto market develops, the increase in accounts, and of course, the liveliness of AltcoinsTalks. I wish all members of AltcoinsTalks are and will be making big profits in this bullrun.

Nice chart +1, with 100K comfortably broken it does seem like somewhere around 150K would be the next target.

I've been sceptical for too long this year to not see the writing on the wall this time.

Thank you for reading my simple report so carefully to recognize the change in AltcoinsTalks forum over time.
I created an account here also in December 2023 and teleported myself, from that point to now it feels like it was a matter of few days while a whole year has been passed and I am still here and can't say how happy I am. I read all of your stats and shared my opinions and this is my pleasure to read these stats shared by you as theya re very helping too.

200k seems to be a big target for this forum and I have realized that, proper strategies have to be used to attract more traffic maybe we can say in the next cycle this forum will have more than 200k tarffic. Getting this much traffic is not a big problem but the most important thing in my sight is bounce rate or the time they are spending here.

Are you sure this visits per month is correct?

16k visits per month is nothing, and we had 140+ a few months ago... this looks incorrect imo

Even my domian, much smaller , has 12k unique visitors per month

I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the data provided by SimilarWeb, I only use it for my statistical topic so that we can have more information about the development status of the AltcoinsTalks forum. 16K visits ~ 550 visits per day is indeed quite low and unreasonable because we often have thousands of Guests visiting the forum.

It's possible that this data only accounts for a small portion of the actual traffic, but it can also allow us to make a preliminary assessment of the ongoing activity on the forum. I'm looking for ways to access better and more reliable data to improve my statistics quality.

I also expect one thing to happen and that is what if the SEC and other authorities go easy on all the privacy and anonymity tools will BTT again allow mixer signature campaigns? I think that's possible because the scrunity is not that much and maybe the admins their reconsider their stance again.

This can also affect the traffic on Altcointalk because if that happen maybe some of the signature campaings will move their again by leaving ALTT. Overall, the traffic will surely increase with time because this forum has also become a part of our lives now and TBH I feel like more open and friendly here than BTT their I don't know why but I feel like I am in an enviroment not very supportive but here I am learning and getting support both very encouraging.

AltcoinsTalks is not BitcoinTalk, we are building a friendly crypto forum :)

All opinions are welcome and AltcoinsTalks has many mechanisms to ensure the rights of all members in lawsuits, accusations or disputes. BitcoinTalk is much larger but also much more extreme, the forum is so large that members become smaller.

Mixers signature campaigns have become a driving force in making AltcoinsTalks more lively and active, however, AltcoinsTalks has existed before Mixers signature campaigns so I think that AltcoinsTalks welcomes them rather than depends on them.

That's a harsh reality, and at some point I agree with it too. I am not a technical person from mining and don't know much about blocks and wallets at the technical level, but I tried to learn by asking questions and people replied some made fund but it's okay I was learning. But here I don't know the same people are going easy on asking question but on BTT they playing it hard haha.

Mixers really drive a lot of traffic even on BTT as well I mean after they disallowed them the traffic significantly dropped their too and here increased. In the long run this forum will also grow and I hope it will remain friendly for ever.

Traffic reduced on BTT due to banned of mixers promotion how? Isn't this another hearsay opinion.... ;D

Well, I don't know much about BitcoinTalk, I'm in AltcoinsTalks and I'm satisfied with what's going on here. I remember the usernames of many active and knowledgeable members, we learn from each other to gain more experience and turn experience into real profits.

The crypto market is already harsh enough, we don't need another harsh forum. We have President, Senate & Judge to protect the rights of all members. Admin has a lot of power but have agreed to give a part to the community, which is something I really love and want to stay with AltcoinsTalks.

Giving back to community and sharing is all a community or form should be about and besides all the benefits like knowledge and experience one can get from OGz like you we can also get some benefits in the form of native token by exchanging the points we earned by making posts.

Overall I really liked here, and the forum is very helpful too in many ways as the news sections is very interesting for me, I mostly read news from here and most of them are totally new that I had not heard about them before.

There are many difference between both forums but no complain with any. I like to spend time there and here as well but here friendliness is a bit more.

BTW are you not on BTT?

AltcoinsTalks has an ALTT token to share profits with the community, although this profit is insignificant. According to the initial idea, AltcoinsTalks would be able to conduct many airdrops from new projects in the market and the community would receive more benefits. Unfortunately, the crypto market has developed too fast and AltcoinsTalks is no longer the only option for airdrops.

I used to be active on BitcoinTalk but am not familiar with how it is managed. I prefer the arrangement of boards on AltcoinsTalks because I can easily discuss the issues I am interested in. For example, if I have XRP, I am only interested in news about XRP, so I will go to the Ripple section.

I refer to crypto news from YouTube, we have a financial expert who regularly updates news about the crypto market. However, sometimes I also find new update on AltcoinsTalks and start researching it on Cointelegraph and Coindesk.

What I like about altcoinstalk is that the power isn't centralized to one person (not comparing it with other forum). I like the concept of President, Senate, Judges. People with these roles are very active on this forum and always trying to help users face to face! Even the admin, replying to the smallest concerns of users!

Btw, these titles aren't permanent right? I am not aware of this! I mean every couple of years, they are elected through voting?

The problem (or one of the problems of BTT) is not that power is centralized, but that whoever should be watching over the watchers is not watching. But there has been a lot of talk about the subject and everything remains the same.

No, those titles are not permanent. Global moderators, for example, must have previous experience on local forums to be eligible to be a global moderator. The president is elected every year, although it can be the same user, since that is decided by the users with their votes, to give some examples. The administrator is always an administrator, although in his own words, that could change one day.

Yeah, BitcoinTalk is still a giant in the crypto market, but its posts are rarely mentioned as opinions from KOLs on Twitter and Reddit, meaning there's something wrong with BitcoinTalk that makes it less interesting and credible than before. I've messaged Moderators many times to resolve some issues with the local community but in vain, so I've chosen AltcoinsTalks to join the crypto community.

In the AltcoinsTalks community, admins are responsible for maintaining the platform technologically, ensuring we have a stable forum for discussion. Meanwhile, President/Senate/Judge build the rules to operate the forum, and Moderators ensure the stability of specific sections. This division of responsibilities makes everything more efficient, although democratization is sometimes a time-consuming process ^^
