there’s so many subsections in the forum where activities are dwindling down or some have dropped dead already as in it’s been months since anyone has last posted in those now i think many people do not post on those anymore since no one seems to be lurking around it anyway so even if they post there no one’s going to notice and so it is just totally quiet there
some boards where the activity has dwindled down: news related to crypto> articles about cryptocurrency , cryptocurrency discussions> women in crypto&crypto meetups and events, bitcoin forum> bitcoin news & updates
these are only few but there are quite many what could possibly be a solution to these quiet boards? do we try and generate more activity and promote these subforums or maybe it’s time to discuss whether it’s time to take some of them out?

The forum as a whole needs to be reorganized. In some boards, creating new topics can be difficult and may lead to spam, for example: EOS Forum, Once Popular Coins (Graveyard), Everscale Forum.
Deleting, merging, creating new boards will promote meaningful posts.

I agree for almost all of the mentioned board but not for "forum> bitcoin news & updates" people just use the "bitcoin forum" as general board for all bitcoin topics when some of these threads should be moved in this board (bitcoin news & update) instead.

Community members have been suggesting about merging and reorganizing the boards on the forum but admin believe that it's better as of now for some reasons.
I also support the merging board suggestion if it ever came to the community voting or something like that because we seriously need to channel the active members into right board for the discussion to happen but currently we have little too many boards that left stranded.

Just to clarify, the senate did recently propose to ditch a list of dead boards and merge topics to parent boards, which happened: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=325998.0

To be honest these sections aren't of interest to spammers as they are such low activity as third-level sections. They are effectively well-hidden archives at this point.

Agree. I reviewed this section when making proposal for re-org crypto ecoysystem, and it seems entirely legitimate to remain. The only issue being lack of topics moved there when needed, rather than the lack of topics overall. This is a moderation issue, not a dead section issue as it were. If any mods or aspiring mods think they can do a better job of that then PM me or freemind, and things can improve from there.

Admin wasn't the biggest fan of the senate proposal, but ultimately he accepted the support the proposal had and made the necessary changes.

yeah i also realized that it is still very useful but members are just not really maximizing the board hence why the lack of activity it is very frustrating because we have these boards to separate the topics to discuss but everyone is just grouping it together and it makes it more difficult for others to navigate through the forum and find something they want to discuss

well if admin believes it to be the better option then i should respect their decisions but i hope if time comes that more and more people complain about it that admin reevaluate and reconsider the matter
