Title: another country moving towards crypto
Post by: bitterguy28 on December 09, 2024, 04:03:28 AM
Iran is shifting its stance on digital currencies, focusing on regulation rather than imposing restrictions, according to Minister Abdolnaser Hemmati. Speaking at a Tehran event, Hemmati highlighted the government’s plan to mitigate the economic risks of digital currencies while leveraging their potential benefits. He emphasized the Central Bank of Iran’s authority in managing digital assets and underscored their potential to foster youth employment, boost economic assets, and counteract sanctions. The initiative reflects Iran’s aim to align with global financial trends and capitalize on the advantages of cryptocurrency innovation. (https://news.bitcoin.com/iran-embraces-crypto-regulation-to-counter-economic-sanctions/)

yet another country moving towards regulation of crypto instead of preventing any kind of use of it this is additional good news following bitcoin reaching $100k and i am sure many countries are now interested in crypto and would be reevaluating their stance they also most likely would not want to be left behind with usa looking really strong and determined to be a crypto friendly country

Iran been in the news in the previous years where they are mining BTC. The countries with cheap energy will rip the benefits such as Iran.

This time they are getting ready because US is also preparing to moving towards crypto in Trumps term. All country will also be moving to BTC when they see adoption in international trade now that there are tension in geopolitics every where.

I don't know, but maybe other countries are considering the US president too, and Trump's term is only 4 years, while changing a country's regulations based only on the US election I don't think is a good move... because it's possible that the new president who will replace Trump will have different thoughts, and start changing the cryptocurrency digital currency regulations in the US... we don't know that because the future is really beyond our control.

If Iran really starts to see the potential of cryptocurrency, then that's good... at least cryptocurrency is no longer seen as a currency for criminals, because there is actually a positive potential from the existence of cryptocurrency that is not highlighted by the media that hates cryptocurrency.

Iran has been under economic sanctions for a long time due to their involvement in nuclear weapons, so they have always been looking for an alternative payment solution to the USD to avoid being affected by US bans. BTC is the top choice and Iran has seen this opportunity for a long time, they've approached BTC discreetly but with a grand plan.

Now that the US is about to accept BTC and reserve BTC for its federal budget, Iran has even more reason to accept crypto for its economy. Once the US has a legal framework for BTC, the global acceptance of BTC will increase and Iran can trade with the world more easily through BTC.

I'm not surprised by this news, but I also don't consider it good news for BTC because the US will find ways to restrict or flag BTC misused by the Iranian government for nuclearizing the Middle East. BTC will then face many new accusations :(

I expect to see more countries move towards accepting Bitcoin or at least enacting more lenient laws on cryptocurrencies due to Trump’s victory in the US elections and the rise of Bitcoin.

As for Iran, I have heard for a long time that they are using Bitcoin to evade the sanctions imposed on them by the West and the US, but that was unofficially, but if Bitcoin is legalized officially, it will definitely be positive news for both Bitcoin and Iran.

This is part of the domino effect or snowball effect of Bitcoin reaching another all-time high and the incoming president of the United States. After Iran, we will read more countries adopting or regulating instead of restricting cryptocurrency.
Its hard for a country to ban cryptocurrency at this point in time when everybody is talking about its price and how many sectors are supporting it, they cannot go against the wind.

No one can bann BTC, even Putin knows it after a few tries of banning it. His allies knew crypto is also their way to make it while the international trades are getting fiercer due to sanctions.

News like this will be a bit weirder when North Korea adopts BTC because this would only mean they can make transactions to any country if both patry agrees.

There is a difference between digital currencies and cryptocurrencies and unless Bitcoin is explicitly mentioned, they are most likely referring to Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). I do not think Iran will change its position on cryptocurrencies and if it does, it may lead to negative results since many countries may start dealing with Bitcoin with caution.

Iran's central bank has banned foreign cryptocurrency trading but is also encouraging bitcoin in the country. There are many countries that will rip off the facilities like Iran but almost every country is thinking about crypto. Crypto will play a role in international trade in the future so many countries want to continue with it. With the US trying to run with crypto in trump hype and many countries are now thinking deeply about it. As far as i know about 4.5 percent of the world bitcoin mining is done in Iran which can generate over a billion dollars in revenue.

Yes, this is no surprised as they have been mining for years already. And now that Trump won, they could used the popularity of him saying that they will used Bitcoin as national reserved.

And besides, we all know that they are still under sanctions so they could have used crypto to circumvent it.

There is no confirmation that they mine Bitcoin and selling Bitcoin is more difficult than selling oil and gas which brings them millions of dollars daily. The Bitcoin market is highly transparent and it is difficult to daily sell thousands of Bitcoin without anyone noticing.

Many countries are now changing their perception and stand on Bitcoin most especially when they learned that it is now in the vicinity of $100K and they are a little bit jealous of what happened to El Salvador even from the standpoint of an investor.

As one of the countries that experienced economic embargo imposed by many leading countries of the West, Iran has slowly realized the many benefits and use of Bitcoin for their economic development and ambition to be a regional powerhouse ahead of its declared and subtle enemies.

Bitcoin is beyond censorship and the country can be able to buy anything from the outside world with the use of Bitcoin shying away from the dollar in international commerce. No wonder it approved Bitcoin mining on a limited basis within geographic boundaries maybe they are looking to use the Bitcoin generated from the mining made within the country.

Of course, this can mean that Iran can probably be using Bitcoin to buy more war tools so it can take revenge at Israel in the near future. Therefore, Bitcoin can be a tool for peace and war depending on which side of the equation you are standing.

As it stands now, the drive for global adoption of bitcoin and cryptocurrency has just been activated. The Trump emergence triggered it all and many countries have began a review on the modalities and also benefits it would bring them and this step is a good one that would usher in a global economic rescue to nations that are in the brink of collapsing economically. The news of Iran  working of modalities on regulations for crypto is a welcome development and I believe they would utilize this opportunity properly.

What we can confirm though is that a percentage of hash comes from Iran. It could be some from an Iranian rypto miner.

Because Trump plans BTC to be mined only in US, the boys from Iran will not let that happen. Those guys do what US do and they have cheap gas that can generate energy for mining.

Iran is also a big country in Asia, has strong economic growth and military power. I hope more and more countries will follow Iran's steps, so that the growth of cryptocurrency can be even faster.

Another country will do exactly what? Well, these are stories that have been circulating for years and they do not mention BTC as a solution at all, but focus more on some things that could help the country avoid sanctions - but not allow ordinary people to profit from such regulations.

Countries where people are denied basic human rights should first work on democracy, and only then on everything that is completely normal in such a democracy.

Currently, all countries think positively about Bitcoin, but due to some special reasons, Bitcoin has not been legalized in all countries so far.  Bitcoin transactions cannot be tracked to a specific person unless someone knows who is using that Bitcoin address.  Because Bitcoin transactions can be done anonymously, there is a high possibility of money laundering from the country.  So countries that are economically weak so far are not taking the risk of accepting Bitcoin because they can't afford to control Bitcoin users so far.  But someday in the future it will be seen that the whole world will use and validate Bitcoin as specific as Pioneer or PayPal.

That is the advantage of bitcoin because its transactions cannot be traced, and this is what previously at the beginning of bitcoin's launch the government opposed bitcoin because of concerns that bitcoin would be used for money laundering or illegal activities.
actually it all comes back to the people who use bitcoin, because not all bitcoin investors do that. even some bitcoin investors are only looking for profit from their investments.

And the more countries accept bitcoin, the better it will be for the price of bitcoin, of course it will be more expensive.

All this are now been caused by the USA effect. When a big country like USA is moving towards a new trend, it brings along other countries that will like to share the same interests like them to also follow in their part. The stance of bitcoin all over the world cannot be overemphasised and what they’re capable of doing or controlling in the world economy is beyond measure. Many countries will begin to troop into bitcoin now because of the potential it has shown. The countries that have adopted and owned bitcoin for a while now are the ones that will enjoy better when bitcoin is now a legal tender and can be used for any financial transactions all around the world. Iran have taken a good path and with this brave move, I believe more countries will join soon into the bitcoin space.

Well, probably. but I don't know whether it is only legal as a commodity asset like in some countries for investment or trading, or also as legal tender, money, a legitimate means of payment. because maybe for the second option as legal tender, some countries may still be thinking about many things, especially regarding its use as a means of payment. yes, maybe we have to wait a long time to see more and more countries legalizing BTC like El Salvador did.

I'm basing regarding them mining on a 2021 article by elliptic,

Quote
Elliptic estimates that 4.5% of all Bitcoin mining takes place in Iran, allowing the country to circumvent trade embargoes and earn hundreds of millions of dollars in cryptoassets that can be used to purchase imports and bypass sanctions. This has implications for financial institutions engaging in cryptoasset transactions - who should ensure they have appropriate controls in place to avoid sanctions violations.

https://www.elliptic.co/blog/how-iran-uses-bitcoin-mining-to-evade-sanctions

Although maybe some of them are mining Bitcoin illegally, but if the government is the one sponsoring it, there could be one specific reasons as to why? And as I have said, it's to avoid sanctions.

Unlike North Koreans who is also sanctions, but the North Korean employed another tactic, that is to hack crypto exchanges and they have been reported to have the infamous "Lazarus" group with the tasks of hacking and breaching any exchanges or even a country for that matter.

The earlier they start now, the better they position themselves for the future and what is to come as it relates to this new development upon the emergence of Trump as the US President.

Seeing more and more countries getting their hands into crypto nowadays especially those who affected by sanctions and stuff is not surprising to me because they don't want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere while thinking of potential solutions to the issue. It indeed helps push the price of Bitcoin higher because we are talking about millions or even billions of investment expected from these countries.

I don't know what Iran wants to do here, it is not so clear, but with the way the country is run, i would be surprised that they would be interested in a decentralized currency like BTC, except of course they want to use it to avoid sanctions. We will see what happens with this one and if they are actually moving towards decentralized BTC or something like a cbdc.

Since the acceptance of the currency remains on the rise, there are high chances of the currency to be accepted in the world economy system. This is desirable as it provides easy access or decentralisation which form the basis of many people’s attraction, including countries that need to secure their economy. Speaking of investments, we see great perspective here, and this is hope for all those who believe in the further evolution of the crypto industry. However, maintaining an increase in response to the development of technology and to take advantage of the opportunities that exist we will see even further benefits in the future.

There should be more countries to legalize Bitcoin in the future. If US government declares to use Bitcoin as a legal tender, I assume there will be many countries to follow it. As far as I know, we already have 2 countries that legalize Bitcoin as a legal tender. This must trigger other countries to do the same way, especially after they know those 2 countries take big advantages from the decision. El Salvador probably becomes one of the rich countries because they also invest in Bitcoin with quite large amount of money.

El Salvador is an example for all, El Salvador is the smallest country in Central America that has been able to change their image by legalizing bitcoin and becoming a rich country with Bitcoin that they bought from 2021 until now.
It was a risky decision but President el Salvador proved that they could be the first country to be able to adopt bitcoin.

If America follows in El Salvador's footsteps, it could be possible that Bitcoin will become more bullish and America will become the second country as a legitimate adopter of bitcoin.
But is that possibly possible? This of course depends on Trump's policy later and Trump has also started to be pro to Bitcoin.

I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but i don't think there is any chance of the U.S. making BTC a legal tender, it is even going to be difficult for any first world country to do that. The U.S. cannot legalize a decentralized currency, when theirs is the world's reserve currency.

Just one, El Salvador, CAR did made BTC a legal tender, but they revoked that decision a long time ago.

I think so too. Like many other countries, indeed, Bitcoin is legal in many countries, but not as legal tender, a legitimate currency in those countries. They must have considered various considerations why to ban it as legal tender. There are many interests behind it all, especially the USA, with its USD, which always wants to dominate globally.

It turns out I just found out that Iran is also now supporting crypto because, maybe the hype of Bitcoin also reached 100,000 dollars. As far as I know, Iran is also a country that often clashes with America regarding the cold war and maybe this is also related to regulations in crypto. This is just my guess and I hope my guess is wrong because I hate war the most.

yet another country moving towards regulation of crypto instead of preventing any kind of use of it this is additional good news following bitcoin reaching $100k and i am sure many countries are now interested in crypto and would be reevaluating their stance they also most likely would not want to be left behind with usa looking really strong and determined to be a crypto friendly country
It is also clear here that America is very supportive of crypto, even Elon Musk and Donald Trump also often voice the name crypto on their social network X. Not to mention countries that adopt Bitcoin for legal payments such as El Salvador have already taken steps to open up space in crypto.

I heard in the news about them becoming close ally. It will trigger countries to start piling up their holdings when power houses like China and Russia also begin buying for their BTC reserves. All it needs is their regulations to be fixed.

That's why the majority of countries at this time are still closing their eyes to the opportunity that this can help them in reality. I really hope our country doesn't get caught up in these kinds of opportunities in the end.

Well, "term of office", this is what triggers doubts about adopting crypto in a country, if indeed the government of one president can be continued to the next president then there will be no problem in adopting it, because this decision can be for the long term and always continues without any doubt in the next change of president,

yet another country moving towards regulation of crypto instead of preventing any kind of use of it this is additional good news following bitcoin reaching $100k and i am sure many countries are now interested in crypto and would be reevaluating their stance they also most likely would not want to be left behind with usa looking really strong and determined to be a crypto friendly country
So it was true adoption from USA would work like a domino affect where after one another will take action. So now everyone wants to adopt BTC because the USA has adopted it. This is wrong thinking from these countries but still good for their economy as in USA people are trading and investing in crypto from the start and in Iran people are also doing the same.

But these official words from the minister will make more impact and the citizens will be more active then before. Last time I remember other European countries were against this because they think more of the funding is happening via BTC so they said it should be banned in middle Eastern countries while it is wrong to say. Well, it's a good step from the Iran and if they stick to it then things will be more happy for the citizens there.

PS: Did you accidently hyperlinked the whole text!

         -      It is indeed really a good news to all of us here in the crypto space I guess. Sometimes I think about how if all countries did this, then probably all people would for sure not have any problems in terms of their financial problems, right?

That's why the majority of countries at this time are still closing their eyes to the opportunity that this can help them in reality. I really hope our country doesn't get caught up in these kinds of opportunities in the end.
investing in crypto is an opportunity that every citizen should take to earn income from crypto. And I think the government should consider this, because it can help its citizens' income.
Although there may be concerns from the government if crypto is used for illegal activities, there are many advantages and benefits offered by crypto technology.

It is normal that there must always be some unscrupulous elements in the system that would want to cause havoc making the system looks more disadvantaged to the community than meets the eyes causing the government to regulate it.

If the government gives consent to Crypto, it would not only help the economy, there are other benefits and advantages attached to Crypto and blockchain as a whole which would be of more benefit to the government itself. Already El Salvador is beginning to benefit their investment in Bitcoin as their Bitcoin holdings is running into billions of dollars.

Are you suggesting that allowing people to access crypto will help their financial condition? I think that's true to some extent but it's not a magic potion that will fix major economic problems. Inflation, lack of education, etc are huge barriers that won't get solved just because people have access to BTC. It can even backfire if people decide to gamble and engage in high-risk activity without sufficient capital. I know at least two cases in my country where people take a high-interest loan to buy BTC while the chart suggests that the price will drop. They get rekt heavily and one of them went as far as taking their own live.

Yeah, there will even be more interest in BTC next year and in the future, i expect more countries that have been hostile to it, to change their views about it. However, as regards being a legal tender, that is a different thing and it would be difficult for a country to do that, and at least not a first world country.

It will be another big steps in the crypto world Iran was one of the pro Islamic country and if they really step to the cryptocurrency then they are will be lots of people will connected with it in the near future. I am also waiting for that. Anyway, this is one of the good news I had heard in this bull season may be we will also heard more good news.
I hope I could also heard something new like my country also accepting the cryptocurrency.

At least, if we can begin to have the most religious countries coming to the light of understanding the impact of crypto and are eager and ready to allow their citizen freely uses these digital currency, then things would have been more better for them and the citizens as well, because everyone would have the privilege of controlling their asset in a decentralized form without the influence of the central authorities.

Regulating is better than a complete ban on that note it's a good news but literally it's a double edged sword, a government can use it to make people use crypto more or they can impose taxation that are absurd that will discourage people from using crypto at all.

This is a good news indeed, but Iran isn't a country with any significant significance in terms of adding value to the cryptocurrency Ecosystem, but then, it is not bad for countries (regardless of how small or how bad their economy is) to adopt bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

And I love what is said above about cryptocurrency creating employment for youths, this is true and I wonder why several governments of different countries are yet to see what they are missing by restricting or even banning their citizens from crypto usage and transactions.

In countries where unemployment is eating deep and destroying the economy, cryptocurrency can be the savior, as if allowed, several youths can build crypto businesses which will not only gainfully employ them and others, but will also pay tax to the government.
Those who can not build businesses can learn how to trade and make money daily for themselves, which further improves their standards of living and make the economy better.
I hope every government that are yet to adopt crypto will consider its benefits, for its enormous.

actually it should not be a problem anymore, and one of them is in my country where in the past crypto was often associated with something as haram, because indeed the majority of the population here is Muslim. but in the end, that assumption has changed and what is it now is quite common. and crypto has become something legal, but it is not legal tender like in El Salvador, and it is not legal if used as a means of payment. it is only legal as a commodity asset but all of that is a very rapid development. and hopefully there will be more countries like this

I agree with you, if only crypto is stated as haram by some people, that is still reasonable because each person has their own perception. However, if it is prohibited or considered illegal by the state, this is more dangerous because we do not invest in crypto because it is considered illegal.

Iran is part of BRICS, and it seems like they're trying to involve themselves in mining Bitcoin as well. Like what the US are doing right now, it seems like BRICS countries are trying to use Bitcoin. I mean Putin already is considering the use of digital currencies to reduce the US dollar dependency.

Correct me, but Iran has one of the cheapest electricity in the world currently with $0.002 per KWH. For sure, miners would love to go there, and mine as it will be profitable for them. TBH, it might happen now that they're trying to regulate cryptocurrency. I expect more countries to do the same.

These are indeed kind of situations when one has to be constant in keeping up with certain rules, since the effect is quite significant on our investment processes. If a country does not allow any of the crypto in their system, this will drag the technology and try to wear people down from any form of financial creativity. But, there is nothing wrong with promoting an open discussion of government and the cryptocurrency industry in order to enable the parties to come to a middle ground decision. If done correctly and with enough awareness, we can prove that the application of crypto can bring significant benefit to the growing economy and people in specific regions or countries. This can also be a good starting point for making the case for better identification of digital assets.

Countries that are too restrictive or oppose crypto, of course the country does not see how crypto will benefit them.
In my country alone, in Indonesia, crypto is regulated as a commodity tool and this is still very reasonable and can be beneficial for all crypto investors, trade legally and the country also benefits from the taxes paid.

Even China has lifted the ban on Bitcoin and this has made China a huge market for crypto.
Countries that actually ban Crypto will not advance and they will lag behind other countries that are already open to crypto

I have long been observing and following up with this development as well. BRICS nations are somehow looking at the digital currency option for trading against the dollar and so far some of the BRICS nation are crypto friendly (Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa). They are looking at developing policies that would be suitable for their crypto transactions and I stumbled upon a publication online which states that  "brics-countries-consider-blockchain-based-stablecoin-settlements" (https://coingeek.com/brics-countries-consider-blockchain-based-stablecoin-settlements/#:~:text=To%20this%20day%2C%20most%20U.S.,41.8K%20subscribers).

If Iran fully implements and integrate bitcoin into their system, they could be a big rival to the US as a bitcoin mining hub reasons being as a result of their cheap electricity tariff which would attract many investors and miners into their country making their economy boom very fast. I believe other nations are on the verge of adopting bitcoin and cryptocurrency into their system just as the world powers are beginning to do.

You are making a point here as I have noticed that in the past, religious sentiment some how affects the adoption of crypto as you have said. I did some findings and I saw that some countries actually called bitcoin and crypto  all sorts of names referring it to things not making any sense or correlating with the main purpose for which it was invented. However, bitcoin has proven to be a reliable and sustainable aspect of investment and store of value and currently, the adoption rate is growing globally coupled with the fact that an incoming crypto friendly president would be sworn or inaugurated few weeks from now as the president of the United States which would be  good and a perfect timing for it.

Here's another country trying to adopt Bitcoin. Czech Republic. According to the news the country is exempting capital gain tax to Bitcoin holders of over 3 years.

I read this on Binance post and some other crypto blogs which a few people only talked about. It may not be good  if you are just holding a few but holding for a long time does have benefit.

One thing I have come to realize is that some nations are just waiting to see a green light from other bigger nation so they would follow suit because they are just dependent on the bigger nation in some processes so as not to be on their ignore or watchlist if I am not mistaken.

However, the more countries united to accept crypto legality, the more tight regulations will become, government involvement certainly comes with some restrictions and that's not what crypto is about in the first place.

Surely, looking at the statements that appeared within the campaign, they become new hopes for the development of bitcoin, especially if the measures that are positively regarded in the field of cryptos are really being implemented. Such a move will also ensure that it reaches global investors while at the same time improving the use of blockchain technology on a wider scale. If a major economy such as that of the USA is to extend space for the usage of bitcoin as a form of payment, then the world will definitely see other countries emulate the action. However, what needs more attention is how the policy is to be implemented and what effects the policy has on the entire market. Anyways, using opportunities and developing successful investment strategy is the best way to welcome this change.

I guess you're making a point here.. but at the stance it seems a goodnews to Crypto users that BTC is becoming a worldwide accepted currency without any restrictions from government of different countries.

Now, though we may find it pleasant for wide use and acceptance, it is still keen that some set of these countries may accept BTC for the sake of something dangerous and destructive...
And at the same time, there'll grow up laws against this Crypto assets which may lead to declination.

You're right. El Salvador becomes the pioneer for all the countries in the world. El Salvador invested in crypto and they made crypto to be a legal tender. It is absolutely a brave move, El Salvador showed the world that utilizing crypto is a great way to improve the financial of the country. Sure, it is very risky but everyone knows they are already success now. El Salvador successfully improved their financial condition.

we wait for donald trump to be inaugurated, because i am curious about what he said during his campaign that he wanted to support bitcoin in the US and make the US the center of bitcoin. If that is true, it is possible that Trump will allow bitcoin as a means of payment.
This will mean so much for the crypto world. However, it is still not certain what kind of support will be provided, and the extent of that support. I don't know whether it will be a legal tender or not, but this is quite difficult and is also likely to be really controversial. We just have to see whether the effects will be long term or only temporary for Trump's benefit. Well, because sometimes the world of politics changes very quickly. but at least, the crypto market will be greatly influenced by the very good news from Trump's inauguration as president and this will greatly benefit many parties, crypto enthusiasts. and we are very grateful that it is one of the main factors in achieving a much higher ATH.

I believe that when a country decides to introduce new technology the effects are realized not only at the domestic front but also on the global arena. We have seen that there is much courage that has publicised itself in the steps that have been taken. When looking at the opportunities of digital assets, this is how we clearly observe new technologies’ potentials to address real life economic issues. It also demonstrates that there is a proper place reserved for innovation in development. We can only expect that this move will mark the start of a chain reaction in other countries to work towards a world where everyone is fairly represented in the financial market and where consumers enjoy better protection.

If only they saw the potential of bitcoin when the price was still very low,  they would have been in a massive profit that could have been used to strengthened their economy but they actually saw Bitcoin as a scam from the start and now that price is hiked is when they are getting in. I would have preferred a situation that Bitcoin is not even adopted by the government because I think at some point, they would want to regulate users of Bitcoin.

Which at first many were pessimistic about El Salvador's choice of why they should adopt bitcoin, it was also increasingly pressured by the decline in the price of bitcoin at that time which made many people feel that El Salvador chose the wrong path.

But Nayib Bukele as president of El Salvador was convinced of his choice and continued to buy bitcoin and now El Salvador has made tremendous profits in just a few years.

This is certainly extraordinary and can be exemplified by other countries, even though they are small countries but they are able to earn a considerable income from the Bitcoin they invest.

It is no secret that when the government viewed bitcoin as a scam and even as a threat when bitcoin first appeared, that is something we all know. But sooner or later they will see what they think is wrong, and it is proven now that many are starting to get into bitcoin.

In any case, the government will try to be able to regulate anything, including bitcoin and I agree with you that maybe their plan is like that about bitcoin users.

The whole crypto community are eagerly waiting for Trump as he has promised when he was doing his campaign but the truth is that politicians would always be who they are and when it comes to campaign, they make promises upon promises just to get at the populace for their votes and win elections then after the elections, the populace waits for them to fulfill their promises which sometimes does not go down well with them but I think Trump would do something about all he has said during his campaign. Let us give him some time, maybe after his inauguration, he would be able to swing into action to deliver his promises during his campaign.

El Salvador amongst countries already adopted the use of Bitcoin and crypto currency within their country, US wants to put it into implementation after the inauguration of Donald Trump come January 2025. Iran has employed the strategy of endorsing crypto currency to be regulated and because of its potentials of having positive impact on the country's economy, rather than restrictions from usage.

There will be more countries that will do nothing else than to adapt to the new trend and adoption of Bitcoin usage. The US planning on making Bitcoin reserve was also taken into consideration by Russia, China etc. Who knows other countries that are also going to take this same step.

Bitcoin will get better, and the price will soar in the coming years, as Bitcoin and the entire crypto currency ecosystem will see a big move for the high demand of mass adoption and utilization.

Although there is a setback from the US as Powell says that they are not keen of having Bitcoin as as strategic reserves.

But their incoming President has different opinions and let's see how Trump will clash with Powell and the Feds.

As far as other countries, yes, Russia and China are making the same steps and now I'm seeing this as going to be like a race by this powerful nation to see who's going to acquire more Bitcoin as reserved. And I think they've already doing this for years, it's just magnified this year because of Trump announcement and winning the US election again.

It is likely that developed countries will buy bitcoin as a strategic reserve. because we know bitcoin has a good hedge.
I think trump as the US president-elect will have a good policy even though we previously heard that the government is not very supportive of crypto.

Already some countries already making ways by looking at policies that could help them effectively put bitcoin and crypto into use. El Salvador already has bitcoin as a national reserve and currently now they are on profit which the country is very much happy with their president with his  daring move. Not only that, the country also accept bitcoin as a legal tender for sales and purchase of goods and services which has seen their economy in a good shape.

As for the US and the rest of the other world powers, I know they are either buying secretly and  not wanting anyone to know about it so that they are not taken unawares by their counter part when it seems that all have taken their position. Ever since Trump began saying about the US being the head of crypto and bitcoin mining hub, other nations definitely know that he was going to win so they must have done the needful before now just waiting for the right time to talk about it.

too embarrassed if they say they have adopted it now, because previously they were against the existence of bitcoin and other crypto, why when bitcoin is in a bullrun session they call for pro bitcoin, and make bitcoin rise even higher, and that's where they have made many times the profit

El Salvador has become a pioneer and of course now they have made a big profit because the price of bitcoin has skyrocketed. And I also think the same as you, it is possible that other countries' governments are also buying bitcoins secretly because they don't want to be left behind. Moreover, Trump announced that he would support bitcoin and make the US the center of bitcoin. It is possible that big countries like China and Russia also already have a lot of bitcoins in their wallets.

I have no doubt about that because so far, there have been lots of news of lately about whales buying bitcoin and removing them from the exchanges now my question is this, who are these whales buying and removing from exchanges? I believe the exchanges too have no idea who they are maybe they might just use a pseudo identity to do that or they tell exchange to handle discretely such information about their identity till they decide to say it themselves.  However, I would not be surprise tomorrow the world powers would come out publicly to telling the world that they own large volume of bitcoin in their possession and would not be intimidated by any counterpart.

Well, the clash between Powell and Trump will only linger till the inauguration day of President Donald Trump into seat. Russia and China secretly must have been buying Bitcoin into reserve before now, Trump making or bringing this idea public, could spike the rate of more demands by these top countries.

Trump as one who has seen tremendous spark in the crypto industry is seeing some good edge at which Bitcoin could play for the betterment of the country's financial economic system. The world is advancing in everything and Bitcoin I'm sure is on a revolutionary movement to the financial institutions world wide.

It is likely that this will happen, big investors will hold bitcoin and altcoins and currently we never know who the whales are because in the crypto world everything seems semi-anonymous and exchanges also hide their identities unless there is a request from a legal institution for a problem. And it could be that the brand uses a fake identity.

Possibly they might be using a fake identity because in this crypto industry, nobody wants their identity to be public and they could go to any extent to make sure their identity is concealed. This is why in most cases, most of the big buy we hear and see we do not know who the buyers are except for those who publicly come out to say it for people to know, and in most cases, they just use their announcement to manipulate the market to their advantage.

That is the advantage of us investing in crypto, our identity is not known to others if we do it on a global exchange. However, many use fake identities, big investors are also worried about being targeted by taxes, so they use fake identities so that they are not detected.
for me as a small investor, using a real identity because no one is targeting me :D

In investing, trust is one of them that can be created through the manner in which one relates to the existing structure. If we decide to use our real identity it is a step that shows a commitment to an identity in transactions. It would still not be true despite the fact that there are individuals who decide to act another way for some reasons, we still can keep on investing there in a manner that corresponds to our beliefs. This choice also gives a feeling of protection for ourselves but it also has a social positive connotation due to a better organisation of the environment. With these steps it is possible to prove that maximum possible transparency of actions will not harm privacy of individuals, so all the sides will be able to enjoy the results of the development of the investment world in general.

I think with time a lot of countries who was against cryptocurrency or still skeptical about it is having a rethink because of the prospect and the benefits it can bring to the economy of such countries so they are looking at cryptocurrency from a more businesses point of view because the fact is that cryptocurrency has come to stay and any country who is against it is doing so at her risk as the world is moving to a different economic phase so countries has to benefits from the crypto market instead of total band on it well congratulations to Iran as they join the league of nations that has adopted cryptocurrency

To me you wouldn't blame any country that are yet to delved into bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large because they aren't having the right scope towards bitcoin progress and developments, they can be hearing the negative aspect of bitcoin but have never ventured into the market to see what its looks like. I believe today, many of them has seen how things are gradually changing and people are now talking about the cryptocurrencies.

Especially in small poor countries where news available to the people are only local news. I hardly hear news about Bitcoin in my country most of the news about it are negative.

And so crypto becomes very unattractive to locals but investors who subscribed to channels on cable hears the international news about BTC. They be ahead of the information and most probably stack up BTC before the adoption in the country.

Maybe in small and poor countries, citizens do not hear about crypt, especially if the internet connection does not reach remote areas of the country.
While in other countries, they already know and bitcpon is very popular. This should be a consideration for the government to think about its citizens.

.....
yet another country moving towards regulation of crypto instead of preventing any kind of use of it this is additional good news following bitcoin reaching $100k and i am sure many countries are now interested in crypto and would be reevaluating their stance they also most likely would not want to be left behind with usa looking really strong and determined to be a crypto friendly country
Previously I have also discussed the state of El Salvador which periodically buys Bitcoin, indirectly I am also sure that the state assets of El Salvador are falling rapidly and I can't understand where the money comes from to buy Bitcoin?

This is my discussion about Bitcoin in El Salvador which is a trending topic.

As far as I know, the more Bitcoin is known to the public, the better and easier it is to be accepted by the public. But with the beginning of being known by many people, the regulations will feel very strict and it has been proven in my country, Indonesia, the regulations for the cryptocurrency market are very strict.
