christmas is looming over us and if you and your family celebrate it what are some special traditions you guys do? it could be specific to your country or only your family
let me share one: in my country starting from december 16th until the 24th, people go to church typically at 4 in the morning this is a devotional mass that runs for 9 consecutive days they say that if one completes 9 days of worship a wish of their would be fulfilled
obviously due to scheduling conflicts some of us can’t do it but it’s still a good tradition and cultural practice i enjoy sharing as people usually always get surprised
what about yours?

Christmas celebration has different traditions and style depending on the country where you find your self but in my part of the world usually on the 25th you can eat in any where I can still remember while growing up as children we will usually go from house to house infact that day you don't really need invitation from anyone to eat some children will even be moving around the village with spoon Christmas used to be fun in those days as far as your parents have bought new clothes for you the next thing is how many meat and rice that you can eat

It's usually the holidays so most families spend time with all there loved one who lives far and away from each other. My extended family members mostly comes to a family gathering during times like this and we share the joy of the season together in a family spirit. What I enjoy the most is that we get to discuss our archivement all through the year and how the next year might turn out to be. It's really a wonderful time I'll say.

Put up the tree. Do some lights. Make a meal 🥘 with a higher quality meat. Tell my wife that she is the best present 💝 I have had in my life. Watch a sappy movie on tv with her.

We're in the same country that's why we have the same tradition and for the past 2-3 years, I didn't have any single absent when it comes to what we call as "Dawn Masses" where normally, masses are starting at 4, but in some areas, it's night. Nevertheless, it's our tradition.
Aside from that, I think there's any different to any families out there. Typical cooking of food we call as "Noche Buena", giving gifts to kids and to other family members, filling our houses with Christmas lights, and a Christmas tree on the living room. Maybe if there's a tradition that we as a family are doing, it's us contributing any amount of money and then giving it to the kids that are coming to our home and singing some Christmas songs. :D

well isn't that heartwarming that would be really delightful especially some families may not have the budget to put some food on their table they can at least eat and spend the holidays with a very kind and welcoming family what a way to build and connect a community together

hats off to you mate that couldn't be easy waking up early and making time for a mass every single day for 9 consecutive days the determination must be applauded so is the saying true? do your wish really come true?

really simple but seems like an enjoyable moment sometimes all we need is to be close to our loved ones and we do not need so much celebration and fanfare as long as we can spend the holidays with them happily and healthily

Yeah, the most wonderful time of the year is when the family gathers and shares a meal, laughter, and joy. The holiday vibe just makes everything feel extra special. It's like a reminder of how important family is now I am excited for the upcoming Christmas.

The first thing is to get the christmas tree and lights, we never fail to do that, right from when i was little and i continued with the tradition in my own home. We eat and drink all throughout the month, but more on the special day, i can't lie, i really love the christmas feeling, we also share gifts over here and spend the holidays with loved ones.

it is definitely one of, if not, my favorite holiday of the year so does my country and we always look forward to christmas and if you go to my country you will definitely feel the christmas vibes as early as september we might not have some snow but i can guarantee that spending christmas here is just as fun and welcoming great food and great company are the two most important things to have in such holidays

We travel to the village to enjoy the Christmas with family and relatives with members of my community. Sometimes, it's time for family reunion when there's any little issues in the family. The fun side can never be exceptional because picnic is always organized every 26th of December.

what about yours?
Christmas traditions were stronger when we were younger, but now many people are forgetting what they used to be. Those days, as kids, we would dress up very early on Christmas morning in our new clothes and special fancy eyeglasses and wristwatches and set out to link up with other neighborhood kids. We would go from house to house eating Christmas food from family to family and taking tips until we were overfed. It doesn't happen much these days; wickedness and insecurity have increased.

Bro in your country Christmas celebration is approached in the right way but Christmas is not the birth of Christ. It is a tradition of Rome you know every country with the world power would definitely invent something that would be used as a remembrance of their time. When the Greece where world power they brought Olympics and till date they are remembered for that, Romanians brought Christmas celebration and till today it's still hitting so ask yourself if Christmas is for Christ why did the city of Bethlehem cancel it's celebration in their country men just like enjoyment and should stop taking it as the celebration of the birth of Christ.

you are right it actually did originate from rome and it was originally a farmer’s festival the dates kept changing from the 17th to 24th to eventually 24th
men just like enjoyment and should stop taking it as the celebration of the birth of Christ.
i don’t think it’s that serious mate let people celebrate christmas based on what they believe in and based on their cultures and tradition if i am in rome then i’ll celebrate it the way they do but don’t they also just celebrate it like christ’ birth?

Traditionally, there is an effort to enjoy the day with the whole family and there is no opportunity to spend a long holiday. However, the most joyful thing is to meet distant relatives and go to church with them and enjoy the joy. There is an effort to bring joy to the family through shopping and to help the comparatively poor and to spread my joy to others by giving them gifts. Apart from this, the joyful moment is if I win a raffle.

Christmas is a tradition globally marked by the end of the year, precisely on 25th of December every year, there is no place on earth that they are not aware of the Christmas celebration, we make merry and have fun together with the Yuletide period, where all other people observe the festivity of marking the end of the year, everyone of us is coming along with this celebration each year and we also tend to pass it impact across to other generations.

In this part of the world where I am from, there is no much event attached to Christmas celebration other than going to the church on that Christmas day to celebrate the birth of Christ. I could remember when I was growing up as a kid, I would put on my new clothes on Christmas day joining my parents to the church and after which we go to amusement park, domino, zoo then family friends visit that's all. It was while I was grown that was when I began to go out with friends to visit but not often I do that as I am not the outing type. I sometimes spend time inside as I don't go out that much then but one thing I could remember for sure is that my friends come around and we play games till its night before they go.

I really hope each and everyone of us here enjoys the season, soon we'll say merry christmas to one another.

Finally the Christmas has come and gone and everyone has enjoyed themselves in their own way and still counting but the question is that how did you people glorify the Christ you claimed it's his birthday and where did you celebrate your Christmas.
