It looks like they are already sure to have BTC Reserves because Trump reassured again his crypto commitment at NY Stock Exchange saying he doesn't want China to be ahead of this market.
Speculators sees this the reason for price to go green again since yesterday. More exposures to BTC means the supply could be lessers and lesser when only a few will be selling.
Do you think there will also be ETH strategic reserves or any other else such as SOL or ADA Reserves?

it could be but i do not think they will be going down that way yet
just because trump and everything affiliated with him is starting to get interested in altcoins it doesn't mean that he has any interest of holding some for the entire country though of course it is not completely impossible if the government can analyze it and see that some altcoins can be a valuable asset i am pretty sure there would be not much opposition to buying some
-
I don't think so, because only bitcoin has the potential to increase in value exponentially due to the high demand and trust for it as a hedge to inflation. Altcoins are for gambling and no one can predict their future because there are a lot of them that came and gone. Some people are seeing bitcoin very risky to use as a reserve with all its prove to be an asset. How do you expect them to see altcoins that is centralized.
-
I don't think about the US interested on investing in Altcoin for reserves because I never heard of them talking about it aside from Bitcoin which we can always here from the president elect Donald Trump. But since his administration is a pro-crypto team then they might have talks about it but we will see if they will be getting one.
-
Maybe some ETH but I don't think they invest time for increasing their crypto reserves in altcoins too simply because Bitcoin is like in the gold standards so why they would need something less valuable than BTC?
But they do have all kind of coins for sure that they auction from time to time which all are confiscated from someone who involved in illegal activities or been a part of exchange hack.

Yes, it very much possible in the future after US would have taken the lead on bitcoin as a reserve for them. In the past, we saw the bitcoin ETF coming to play and then after the successful implementation of it, we saw the Ethereum ETF also coming into the market. This is a sign of a revolutionary development for cryptocurrencies and I don’t think there is any doubt that something like that won’t happen in the near future because it’s very much possible and we are going to be seeing them also after US have used bitcoin as one of their reserve funds.
-
I know there will be an unsure answers for this because only the future knows. What I was just looking forward though is that when all US plans pan out.
Just what I think could happen is that the crypto market may actually be the combined primary and secondary market, RWA and all equities are tokenized using Blockchain. A few of them will be reserves to keep for a countrys wealth.

We may have to understand that despite the fact that US government is not a bitcoin or crypto holder, the amount of bitcoin in their possession is not what we should take for real, because they were just assets confiscated, since they are not bitcoin investor, i don't think they will later consider investing on other cryptos because they are not interested right from the start in crypto, but with the new change of power, something new may set in any time soon and they have a new approach over it.
-
Most of the assets majority of the government of different countries have are mostly seized assets. And as a result it's more like they don't take the concept of buying at a lower price and selling at a higher price too seriously since they didn't buy the coins in the first place. I've seen a couple of news in the past where there were some deliberation to convert some of US gold reserves into bitcoin.
I'm not very sure that these countries Hodl any altcoin and owing to the fact that they hardly fancy buying something as successful as bitcoin then judging from there there is a high chance that they don't hold any altcoin except they seized some of course too.
-

Anything we imagine is possible even it does not seem like it; time is all it is going to take to tell. The future is bright for cryptocurrency in general, so we keep watching.
-

I can see them convert stocks so it's compatible with blockchain for a better track record, but it's hard to see them pivot to altcoins just because of that. I mean, this RWA or other stuff like gold-backed tokens don't even have enough interest from retail, it would be riskier than gambling to pick them for reserve. Not to mention they were affected heavily by BTC. It's possible that altcoins won't get dominated as heavily by BTC in the future, but it feels so far away imo.
-

First, let's see that Btc reserve!
Because he has already backtracked on reducing inflation, he's a trade deal is the laughing stock of the world, the peace plan has become vaporware and do I have to remind you about that wall and drainign the swamp from the previous mandate?
I'm almost certain that we will be here in 2028 and there will be a lot of Pikachu faces around!

Trusting is a forever issue because investors are scammed all the time. There was a AU project in crypto before but I have no idea what happened to it. The last posts on the thread iirc was users asking who holds the gold storage, and then all the rest are accusations.
RWA I think will also have this issue. I have no idea how it will be solved but stock market seems to be working for them. Regulation made it happen.
-
No, they will not... or at least that's what I think.
While anything is possible with cryptocurrency, I don't think that the US government will consider something that's centralized as a strategic reserve asset. Maybe Ethereum since it's being considered now as decentralized, but Bitcoin is more decentralized than Ethereum, and the government wants control of it hence, they will just focus mainly on Bitcoin.
Overall, it might happen still. We don't know, but I believe the chances are low or if it happens, it will take years or even decades to happen.
-
I would rather wait and see if they actually add BTC as reserves. I understand that it's the President who said it but there will be oppositions for sure and they will have to deliberate on this for some time. It's still good to speculate on this though. Now, which altcoin to choose is going to be another matter of discussion.

For now nobody can really say anything concrete about altcoins becoming a reserve in the united state of America because it's still a long way to go for crypto community as everyone is waiting for what Trump will bring to the table for the crypto industry let see in the next five to six months as they are critical next month Trump will be sworn into office so for now let just be expected of good things coming to the crypto space

Funny enough but Doge is more decentralized than ETH and since it's basically Bitcoin in terms of code one could argue it makes more sense and has less legal trouble to be the second one accepted, with or without Litecoin as a pair.
But tell then, let's see the first reserve at all, cause Trump has a habit of saying he will do this and that and make those guys pay for it so can't wait to see the money he will built this with.

That's what I have been reading from the Doge community. They are far better than any alt coins out there however they have problems with Musk. He been helpful in making the coin as popular as it is but he has billions of Doge that he may one day dump.
The decentralisation I think will not help in deciding whether a token will be considered a reserve but centralised as government wants the control as usual.

Even though there will be opposition and deliberation on it before it will be approved but with the way the crypto world is going currently altcoins too may be added to their reserves because the crypto world is one that emerging and has potential of being a source of wealth to and country that welcomes and embrace it so hopefully I would like to see altcoins added to the reserve of the United States

There is no certainty that the USA becomes a BTC holder. AND 100% no chance they take on a P.O.S. coin like eth.
Scrypt is. The most likely thing for them to,use.
I can tired of these questions about pos coins. And the complete lack of,understanding of coins like doge.
BTC with DOGE could happen with Trump and Musk around

BTC with DOGE could happen with Trump and Musk around
i do not know if trump will want to focus on doge or other memecoins without the urging or encouragement from elon to be honest this is why his presence next to trump will be crucial to make sure that the government keeps updated with crypto projects that no other country would look at otherwise

It's the reason why they accuse Musk of election intervention which is the government think he deserves to be investigated for this. But it's no secret to all Musk have big influence. And Trump also wants to return the flavor after he won.
With Musk, I should hope Doge will be bigger under Trump. Better be stacking Doge from now on.

Where is crypto world going? Don't expect the people that are directly involved in a country's coffers to follow where crypto is headed. They are not like us that can follow trends and hastily make these decision because it only affects our personal life or immediate families.

stacking doge is pretty much a no brainer for the time being. I see it clearing a dollar in 2025 or 2026

It must have been a surprise for you to also read on the social media about Trump Crypto reserve that includes XRP, SOL and ADA.
I have read a thread on this which Trump have posted on Truth Social about the 3 cryptocurrencies he mentioned.

Bitcoin is surging again back to 94k, this market is going to swing wilder right after people panic about the price yesterday.

OP may be quite surprised, but I'm not surprised at all. Trump is a businessman, he won't be satisfied to utilize Bitcoin or Ethereum only. He knows XRP, SOL, and ADA are potential altcoins. He won't miss the chance to take advantages on them. Moreover, these coins look like very familiar with US citizen, so they actually know well the projects.

The drop was very clear as a normal correction. I'm sure experienced people didn't panic. Only those new people or average people who feel afraid with crypto market. But now, I think everyone feels optimistic anymore because the market is in an uptrend again.

Trump really is smart and before we knew his next moves he might already got hoards of those coins he mentioned Aside from Bitcoin and Ethereum which was already a given asset he has.
I don't know if some with good capital investors are still missing every opportunity the market will bring but they make profits out of this kinda market condition it could be that newbies are really that aggressive and are always panicking when things tremors.

it is not his by the way but it's his country's
the money he will be using to buy bitcoin and the likes are from the country and not directly from his wallet those are the ones that he will be adding to the reserve but maybe he has some assets of his own that we do not know about
usa has some bitcoins already they got it from the illegal cases they have busted and now the bitcoins are in custody but surely they can buy more

They said that they are considering crypto reserve, not being specific on which coin in cryptocurrency, this alone seems to be an illusion on us all because we should not have much expectations for that until we see which crypto exactly is he pointing at, lots had been going on already concerning this statement and this is one of the reasons we had the recent surge in bitcoin market price.

anyone holding an altcoin will hope for Trump to consider his altcoins to be on the list of his strategic reserves. people do expect because they need to see profit from their investments.
if i have to declare which token should be among Trumps crypto strategic reserve, i say BNB and TON. but its not up to me.
trumps declaration doesn''t have any backing but his words. some say its just about pumping.
-
It's confirmed Trump just signed the executive order making crypto currencies into the strategic reserves and it's not only Bitcoin that is listed as the reserve there are also altcoins like Solana, XRP, Cardano , trump should be commended for his unfailing promises to revolutionizing the crypto industry and given it a name with this move altcoins apart from Bitcoin will be valued and it going to really impact positively on the prices of other altcoins

I'm sure Trump doesn't think about the plan alone. He should have a team that include professional people in crypto space. So, he knows very well about the potential of crypto in the future. If he only does it alone, he won't have enough time to learn it carefully. So, that's why Trump looks very smart and know many things.

There are always people who are not interested in crypto. Those rich people, they may feel comfortable with their own business. So, they don't need to try investing in crypto. It is different with us, we may have no stable financial. So we expect the advantage by investing in crypto. Sure, those newbies may panic because of the change of crypto market.

i am sure that the senate as well as the congress will or would have already reviewed this before it went public it helps that many of the politicians elected in the last election were pro crypto and has had backgrounds of being involved with crypto
even sec is now pro crypto the entire government we can say is leaning more towards being friendly to crypto

a real rich person would know that money is temporary and that he should do his best to make sure that his money keeps on growing you will be surprised that the wealthy ones are even the greediest ones

and this i can believe.
they will do the most immoral thing in life to protect that wealth. they have so much gold that they dig deep to bury their gold some commit genocide in order to keep people away from their land.
if they are not into crypto, they are interested to a more valuable assets. so why is china not interested in also creating their Bitcoin strategic reserves?

Yep. It is official that US government will have crypto reserves and they don't only choose Bitcoin but they also want to have some top altcoins. Besides BTC, they decide to take 4 top altcoins (ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA). I think this is the right choice although it seems too early to expand their crypto reserve to altcoins. In the beginning, I guessed they will focus on Bitcoin only. However, I think Trump also wants to to have some altcoins as well.

First, he will buy these altcoins himself, and then announce that they are in reserve. Well, a classic of the genre. He thinks of himself as a great businessman. True, there is one "but": he was bankrupt several times. Imagine what awaits the country with such a leader. Many of his supporters are already starting to grab their heads from his speeches and deeds. Most likely, America will soon start to shake so much that no one will be happy. I am convinced that Trump will be impeached in the near future. Therefore, you should not count on some kind of crypto-reserve.

i do not think that china does not see bitcoin or crypto as valuable i think they just do not want to use bitcoin specifically because it is decentralized they might not think that the benefits are worth lowering down their decade built censorship
they believe in nationalization and everyone knows china has their own versions of everything and bitcoin will not be an exemption to that so even if bitcoin is not completely illegal in bitcoin, i doubt they will be so keen to support the crypto and promote it to their citizens as an alternative to the chinese yen

or maybe they just know something we don't. Bitcoin seem to be centralized already as there are regulations on who can mine BTC and mining farms are being seized. to offline world, Bitcoin is centralized.
or maybe they know who satoshi is. the world is too small for the government like US not to know. each country have their own secret service.
but what possibly is China's Bitcoin? NEO? because as far as i know president Xi can kidnap the family of CZ to ask all the BTC from Binance if they will just show how cruel they can be.

Nobody know who Satoshi is, the US government don't know a dime about Satoshi if not it would have been revealed. Have you not watched where people arw guessing who is Satoshi and different Faktoshi claiming to be Satoshi. China might be frowning at bitcoin but they have the highest bitcoin in their custody after US. China has 190 000 bitcoin in their possession currently.
