Title: How Gaming and Web3 Are Coming Together
Post by: Flavour on December 17, 2024, 07:26:57 PM
I've been noticing more platforms blending gaming with Web3 features, and it’s an intriguing trend. The idea of earning crypto rewards through games or SocialFi activities on familiar platforms like Telegram feels like a step toward mass adoption. For instance, TON Station operates on telegram offering SocialFi activities along side exclusive Web3 games, a concept that feels so simple and innovative
What do you think about this? Are these integrations really opening doors for wider Web3 engagement, or is it still too niche to matter in the long run? Would love to hear your thoughts on how gaming could reshape crypto adoption!

I think it's a cool trend! Combining gaming with Web3 can make crypto more accessible, especially on platforms like Telegram. If it keeps growing, it could help more people get into crypto in a fun and easy way. It’s still early, but I see a lot of potential for it to go mainstream over time.

Yeah, gaming makes crypto easy to get into. Platforms like TON Station using Telegram help because people already use the app. It’s still kinda niche, but if games are fun and rewarding, more people will join.

I believe people who try crypto gaming are those who are into crypto in the first place. Based on what I see on social media and gaming communities, the majority of users still don't have a good impression of crypto/blockchain-based gaming or features. I'm not familiar with TON Station or other web3 gaming distribution apps and I doubt they bring new users into the space. Maybe this can be a topic for further search to learn the market in more detail.

Eh, I'm not that sold on the idea that web3 gaming revolutionizes everything and makes everything better. If anything the games that come from this trend are far from an enjoyable experience for most users. I don't think clicking and farming NFT for example is going to make the space popular. We definitely need more games focused on enjoyable experiences first before we talk about making money of it. Unfortunately that seems hard to achieve considering most developers don't want to develop a good game in the first place.
