A lot of graduates are sitting at home for so many years without work and it really a bad experience to the new generation who are going to school. Finishing a long term education and facing all the challenges and stress of schools and still ending up not having a better life, no jobs no money is really discouraging this new generation many don’t even want to go to school and I don’t see their fault.
They rather focus on hand jobs and business which will bring a better interest for them. But on the other hand this country is not really helping matters the bad governance is really bad situation. How can a full graduate be a Uber drivers, some making shoe, some even doing hotels sales boy a graduate for that matter it not encouraging. And after all is our country that have a lot of resources but we don’t take better use of them. We pray for better governance.

It's disheartening to see that corruption has deeply ingrained itself in Nigeria. To achieve anything meaningful, one needs connections or must bribe their way through. I've witnessed numerous instances where highly qualified graduates, who excel in interviews, are overlooked for jobs due to lack of connections or refusal to pay bribes. Meanwhile, less qualified individuals with influential connections secure positions effortlessly.
This blatant injustice is crippling the nation. Many invest heavily in education, spending enormous amounts from kindergarten to higher institutions, only to face disappointment and uncertainty in their job search. This discourages some from pursuing education, opting instead for vocational training or entrepreneurship, fearing that their investments in education might not yield better job prospects.
Ironically, some uneducated individuals secure employment through connections with influential people, further highlighting the systemic injustice.

Getting a job expecially a white collar job in Nigeria is through 'Man know Man' you must have to know someone that know someone that is responsible for giving the job.
Employment in Nigeria is an expression of mediocrity as opposed to meritocracy. A lot of young vibrant intelligent people are without job yet you see half baked graduates with high paying jobs and sometimes you are tempted to ask how come. Ask no more, it's man know man

It's an unfortunate situation that Nigeria has turned to a country where you need connection, you need to know someone that knows someone before you can get a decent job. This single act promotes mediocrity against meritocracy

I have fallen victim of this numerous times, after meeting all of he requirement, I go on to apply only for the job to be given to another person who has a less qualified than I am. But seriously what is this country turning into. Favouritism and Nepotism are simply the building blocks of corruption in the country and should be be totally abolished.

To land government job na by serious connection, nowadays nobody sends graduate even if you are a first class graduate this is due to the neglect of the government towards education, I'm sure this also occurs in the private sector. Nowadays certificate are just a piece of paper you are not entitled to anything when you graduate that why I advice pick a course that you know when you graduate even though you are not employed you can start up a business by yourself but the issues about this is that there is no capital to start up a business even if you have the capital there is no guarantee that the business will flourish, there is also the issues of lack of foreign investment no outside company want to invest in Nigeria, there are too many problems in this country.
