Title: Why I like Stellar - Servicing ordinary people
Post by: Peter90 on December 22, 2024, 12:06:26 PM
Unfortunately cryptocurrencies are mostly used only in order to make money. I'm rather interested in how cryptocurrencies can improve the life of ordinary people.
I even opened a thread about this Beside trading, what's the point of cryptos for ordinary people and businesses? (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=315042.msg1465776#msg1465776)

I like the Stellar foundation because - as far as I can understand it - they want exactly this, to use blockchain in order to improve the lives of ordinary people.
To me it looks like they care more about that than about increasing the price of Lumens (XLM), the native tokens of the Stellar Network.

Here is an example

"Take a journey to San Francisco, Colombia, where the Decaf app, built on the Stellar network, has revolutionized the local economy and the lives of those living there. See how blockchain is solving real-world problems: addressing the dangers of cash payments and the onchain effect of financial access, providing opportunity and security, and empowering communities."

 :D

Jokes aside, X needs a network with speed and low cost.
The Stellar network is speed and low cost.

Ripple network is also speed and low cost but they target institutionals, not individuals.
I think X will adopt the Stellar network.

Which currency will they use, it will be a stablecoin.
Which one I don't know.
