Well let me just cap it all up as the charts and reviews speak for themselves. Frankly speaking I actually don't think there is any Nigerian who will find this information shocking or surprising. And this is simply because of the fact that the effects of all these on the Nigerian economy and its citizens is very obvious especially to the average Nigerian.
Sometimes people say that the economy has been way too down and as a result the president needs more time to fix all these however it's all CAP because the first step should be halting further damage and not improving it.

More corrupt activities from Tinubu's government are to be expected. The election that put him in power was blatantly rigged. With audacity, he declared that it was his turn. Like, how did our democracy got to the point where aspirants will confidently say it is his turn to rule and this win as though presidency seat is hereditary.

On a personal level, I am not surprised because of how much he sacrificed for his victory, and the belief that he does not need the people to be in office is enough to explain why he is not concerned with better leadership, but rather with compensating those who played roles in bringing him to the position. All I will say is that we should prepare for the worst.

When one buys their way to the throne, there are always mouths to feed and promises to keep. Just like Tinubu's current administration, there are many cabre who contributed to his victory, and he will spend his entire first term repaying those debts and making incompetent appointments to settle them. When you achieve power through some individuals, you will always make economic decisions that benefit those people's businesses first, even if it means starving the masses to make them richer.

Nothing kills a country economy more than having incompetent people in sensitive economy positions.

There is this saying they always try to cover up with, they say in order for the country to be better and the citizens to enjoy, they have to pass through some of this hardships. But I say that is it until when most of the citizens die of hunger before action is been taking. You cannot be fighting poverty and corruption and the citizens of the country are not seeing the effects but are getting more poorer. Minimum wage was increased but it doesn’t have any substantial effect to the lives of the people because of inflation that this regime is accompanied with. We may have seen some good news but they’re not all reflecting in our lives as the citizens. Something need to be done and have to be fast before things get out of control more again.

This regime is the worst of them all since Nigeria independence. The inflation rate and the dwindling economy is nothing to write home about. The citizens are just gasping for breath in survival of the hardship dawned on them. It is not funny anymore that average Nigerians can no longer afford a square meal again as a result of price increase in food stuffs. The cost of living is now on the high side coupled with the unemployment rate leaving people in abject poverty.

How did Nigeria got to this point?

The said minimum wage payments hasn't even commenced yet or has it in your state? Nothing is going on in my state, the Governor only proposed to pay higher than what the FG approved but nothing yet. The whole Govemment is built on propaganda and lies.

My thought on this is that we deserve what we are getting because we knew that he has nothing to offer, and some people still openly supported him, some with the simple reason that they are smae tribe as he is. Some may also argue that he was not voted, but foced himself into office, but we did nothing about that too, so let us allow his tenure pass. Maybe next time we will remember that election has consequences.

I am also not surprised, not shocked after seeing this article. I expected as much, isn't it obvious,  I don't think I will see an average Nigerian citizen that Will Stand strongly on his feet to defend president bola Ahmed Tinubu, I mean, everything is obvious to anyone, can't you see the situation we are living in, inflection is taking over Nigeria, prices of commodities rises higher day by day. with all the things that is happening in Nigeria,
Many Nigerians are dissatisfied with President Tinubu's administration and are unlikely to defend his policies.

Nigeria's economy was already struggling, but President Tinubu's decisions have made things even tougher for the average citizen. He prioritizes the interests of the wealthy and powerful people over those of the common people and the poor, likely because they have the influence to impact his political career and even remove him from office. Tinubu is disregarding the needs of the poor because their voices are being ignored and they lack the power to hold him accountable. It's as if their opinions don't matter, and if they did, Tinubu wouldn't still be in office. The poor are speaking out against his leadership, but their concerns are being disregarded.

With the way the previous system was set up and how the ruling party won their election despite hunger and inflation, the APC candidates were always going to win, whether or not the people voted. They dominate the system, and the only way to dismantle the current system is to turn the country into another chokepoint, sacrificing many lives, with no certainty of being able to toss them out. I initially believed in this regime, as did many other Nigerians, and you can't blame them for doing so; people change, and that's exactly what happened.

I can see that it's just now that you're actually waking up because when they where talking about tinibu being corrupt and not fit for office a lot of people out of political sentiment where supporting him this is a man that till today has a drug case at the United States of America infact this is a man that has no classmates but has a certificate everything about our president is under fraud the very election that brought him to power is the most election in the history of the country so you don't expect things to actually work in the country because a man that forced himself to power will definitely have nothing to give personally I don't expect anything positive from this government because I know they don't have any thing good to offer the country that is why they corruptly made them self to public office

This means they have used Nigeria as a country and everyone in it for business. What a worst administration in the history of Nigeria. I believe he will still do more and I don't expect anything good from his regime because he is a disappointment to Nigeria. How I wish he would not win the second tenure.

Someone who publicly started it was his turn to become President and still won with a larger margin - he didn't contest to solve any of the problem the past  administration put the country into, the came to plaster his name on the history  of time as one  time president of Nigeria and to cover all his allegedly drug business.

First tenures are typically used to build trust in order to win votes in second tenure elections, but as things stand, I can't imagine anyone voting for this administration for a second term.

This is what you get when you force yourself into public office against popular opinions am even surprised that tinibu is not the one occupying the number one spots on the list because I have not seen an leader that is as corrupt as tinibu currently because he as almost bought the entire country to himself Nigeria is in serious problems because with this kind of leaders in power the countries common wealth is not safe as you can't expect a thief to guide someone that has valuable properties without something getting missing

Nigerians have another chance to redeem the country in 2026 elections, despite his past convictions for drugs in the US and school degree scandals. It's unfortunate that these were revealed after he won the election, as it would have made it difficult for him to win.

There's no hope for Nigerian to make any change come 2027 in the general election if in 2023 he became president without even being in power and made in famous statement that it's my turn what makes you to think that the will of the people will be respected in the elections I don't see tinubu leaving office soon because coming 2027 he will be re-election into office for a second term in office it's his turn all the electoral umpire is controlled by the government so I don't see any change that Nigerians will bring in come 2027 because it's not going to be possible

The first step is halting further damage and not improving them.
On Donald Trump's inauguration speech, the moment he talked about the Mexican border, immediate effect started taking effect, I will do this or that later is not what a country's president will use if he really wants to maintain the order standard and order of the country's economy.

Past Nigerian Presidents has been taking loans, he who is said to be rich and wealthy, still took loan. There's no significant improvement he has brought to help the citizens in this regime of his.

The aspect of taking loan by The Nigeria presidents seems to be a culture and habit. So far, if I am not mistaken,  virtually all the presidents that have ruled Nigeria have collected loans from the World Bank, and to date, Nigeria is still owing. This makes me wonder what our natural resources are for, what did they do with the recovered Abacha loot, and others we have been hearing of for a long time now. I remember hearing a story some years past that a white man once said that Nigeria is super rich and blessed that each individual could be earning a salary sitting at home.

For once our government should try to fix things and avoid taking loans from the World Bank because all these put pressure on our economy and devalue our currency. Look at Burkina Faso, the president rejected a World Bank loan after they invited him to come to take a loan. He focused on using their internally generated revenue to develop the country and currently, they have been able to pay up some percentage of their debt and are doing perfectly well, their economy is waxing stronger and better without a World Bank loan even when they are given an express ticket to go for it but they rejected it and Nigeria that is going for the loan is even getting worse and worse every day then what is the benefit and need for the loan?

After taking the loan from world Bank, what the citizens only hear is some big sum of numbers that is accounted to money, which the citizens doesn't see what the money is or was used for. They take the loan and share the money within themselves. Different contracts will be awarded, most of them will be started (some for formerlities), while the ones that will be successfully completed, when you hear the amount of money used, you'll be shocked.

The natural resources God blessed this country with has been made to be only for those who call themselves political leaders.

Franklin speaking the fact is it's so annoying and retarding that the Nigerian economy is actually in its current State. With the amount of natural resources in vast sections of different economic exploration in Nigeria I see no reason why we should be as much in debt as we are. Basically what's going on is resources are not properly managed and as a result the end of being wasted making us borrow extra money to cover unnecessity cost.

The problem is more economic degradation with face the more loans pile up and that's the more reason the economy has to be fixed first before a known issue can be settled.

I am not surprised about this news because the fact is that everything you do in secret has a way of coming out in the open for everyone to see because tinubu is one leader that has been accused of being corrupt over the years because of the way and manner he has acquired so much wealth and influence from when he made his way to the political corridor's of power and how he has monopolized his state Lagos and it assets to himself and his family so this news to me is not surprising but what is on ground because he has been fighting corruption cases ever since ranging from cocaine to certificate forgery to embezzlement of public funds and with this kind of leaders in power there is no way that Nigeria will be making any meaningful progress and development as a nation because the order of the day will be how to steal public funds

Well i’m just hearing about this actually and funnily enough; I don’t feel surprised at all knowing the kind of decisions his cabinets makes.I think if not third most corrupt, he should hang around that 1st most corrupt cause other presidents lying around the first and second positions didnt have a to some extent improving economy rather than Nigeria.
The problem we are facing today in Nigeria hasn’t even started yet because they are still more to come.A country that its political decisions are majorly influenced by the western culture.lol.
It’s actually so shitty more than we think and the individuals sitting in these leadership positions add up to these problems. We are basically governed by a man who is older than the country itself.isnt that quite funny.Godfathers occupy these positions and their aim is basically to loot alot money that could sustain more than five of their generations to come.

During the inauguration speech of tinibu, there was basically alot of “i would do this and i would do that” and thats common with inauguration speeches of most african leadets or Nigerian leaders specifically speaking.I particularly am no against all this promises but point is;they almost never work out at all.The u.s government take their words seriously when making these speeches and that’s why they tend to develop more quickly than African nations.

Honestly, Tinubu’s administration has been a disaster so far. Less than two years in, and things have gotten worse—record-high inflation, rising unemployment, reckless borrowing, subsidy removal without a proper plan, and a devalued Naira that’s crushing Nigerians. The excessive spending on his cabinet just adds insult to injury. We've had bad leaders before, but this level of damage in such a short time is alarming. If this continues, I don't even want to imagine where Nigeria will be by the end of his term.

I am really not surprised about it, because if we take a look at how he came into power it was through corruption so his rulership will also be built on and around corruption, the truth about the whole matter is that it is the citizen that gets to suffer from this illicit and corrupt practices, how I wish it was the other way round maybe there would have been a change.

Even with the knowledge of this is illegal activities of drug dealing and so on, he still presently have massive supporter and follower who are ready to kill and defend him no matter what. I had a discussion with a friend last week who kept on saying that no matter what he will still support the current president in the forthcoming election. Nigerians are really not yet tired of suffering, I mean with the way the economy is and is going people still keep supporting those leader that placed us in this hardship. May God help us all, Amen.

And the problem we dey force today na Ekiti State people, Rivers State, and other Northern States. In politics if the votes are more than the the manipulation, the matter what, he can't win the election and today everyone dey suffer am.

President Tinubu emerges as the 3rd most corrupt leader in 2024 by OCCRP voted by readers and journalist, we have had bad leaders in the past but it wasn't this bad and he is only less than 2 years into office. The inflation and unemployment rate increased, subsidies removed, Naira devaluated, took the most loan already, excessive spending on his cabinets.. he's done more harm to Nigeria more than he met it. What are your thoughts?

So true there is no any doubt about it, i have never come across a corrupted leader as him. Who did not have consent and care about human feelings, People have been suffering everyday and night, especially food to eat, poor medical facilities, no security, no rest of mind, fatal accident occurring now here and there because of bad roads. Things have turn worst to worsen, even some parents that have been managing there life to see their children go to school, now they have been dropped out due to the reason they can't afford to sponsor them they feels is better to use the money they have safe for their children education to use it to sustain themselves and have something to eat with the family. if things continue the way it is like this we don't know what will become of Nigeria tomorrow , but my advice it is also good for Nigerians to have a side hustle so it can easy their affairs but even that no capital to startup a business. But now that he have succeeded to create fear and tension in the minds of Nigeria's, it is also good for the people to start thinking about who to vote for the next election, we just pray it should be a fair smooth election. We just pray they should be law and order to guide the process when the time comes.
