To alleviate tension or depression, engage in activities that bring you joy, such as pursuing your hobbies. Additionally, focus on self-care by eating healthy foods, exercising regularly (e.g., running, walking, jogging), and practicing meditation. Taking breaks and resting when needed can also help. During your leisure time, make sure to engage in activities that make you happy, avoid idleness, as it can lead to negative thoughts and emotions. Because an idle mind is in devil's workshop.

Depression can be reduced when we don't take things of the world very seriously. Everything here on this planet is transient, today you see them tomorrow you dont. So no need to kill oneself because of things that won't last the end of times.

I have read a lot on depression subreddit, what I often see what helps people is following: exercise, walk, healthy diet, plenty sunlight, enough sleep.
It's helps to have goal as well, no matter how small, something particular to wake up each day and look forward to.

I just think people so think less and take the world the way they see it. People are suffering. A lot of people go to be hungry without even hope of eating the next day. And the government also needs to step up and live up to the occasion by engaging in serious poverty alleviation programs

Honestly, I don't think there is a one size fit approach to controlling depression. However learning to take things one step at a time is a major way of reducing depression. Talking to someone you trust, make a big difference even if it is not a professional. Sometimes just knowing that someone is listening helps ease the weight.
Also staying away from people or things that constantly drain your energy helps. It's not easy, but small steps goes a long way. We don't always talk about this things much, I am so glad that this topic is here.
