How to Snipe Tokens on Pump Fun
In this guide, you’ll learn how to snipe Pump Fun tokens. Sniping a token is the process of quickly buying a meme coin right when it launches, often before most other traders have a chance to react, aiming to capitalize on an expected sharp increase in value.
We’ll explore two primary methods: sniping Pump Fun tokens using the developers wallet address and sniping without it. Plus, we’ll go over the best settings for sniping meme coins effectively.
How to Snipe Pump Fun Tokens with the Developers Wallet Address
This method works if you have the developer’s wallet address before the meme coin launch, which isn’t common. However, you might obtain it if the developer shares the deployer address openly or often uses the same wallet for launches.

Best Settings for Sniping Pump Fun Tokens
Priority Fee
The priority fee impacts the speed at which your transaction is processed. To ensure swift transactions, set the fee to 0.005 SOL. If you’re dealing with a high-demand token launch, consider increasing this fee to increase the chances of a successful transaction.
Slippage
Slippage refers to the discrepancy between the expected price and the actual price when your trade is executed. It’s important to adjust your slippage tolerance according to the token’s demand. For highly sought-after launches, you might need to set your slippage tolerance as high as 50% to ensure your transaction goes through successfully.
-
I would add - Prioritize speed by setting higher transaction fees and tolerating slippage (up to 50% for competitive launches).
-
Pump Fun is too risky. By its narrative, there's no productive idea behind the project; it's a blind shot to hit some bucks. Do keep this in mind and check some stats. For example, any of the coins you are going to snip for has just a 1.1% chance to hit an MC of 100k+ or 130k+, and I'm damn sure this risk-to-reward ratio is not worthy of any investor.
Just have a look at the number of coins launched 4.4M+ and even if you got a big shot there's not enough exit liquidity, so you better try the Hot narratives they are more attractive in terms of risk to reward.
-
For more effective transactions, activate the auto-buy feature in the Pepeboost settings. This allows the bot to automatically purchase the token for your specified amount whenever you send a contract address, removing the need to manually select the purchase amount.
I see this as a perfect way to fleece auto traders for every single penny they have in their bot funds.
All the guys abusing pump.fun have to do is flood it with coins that will go nowhere and let the bots buy it, something like a guaranteed sale, if any bots should be used with those tokens would be liquidity sniping bots, at least in that case you have a thing of value that's instantly converted into the real deal.

Yep.
If you are faster than others - you are the one to make it out faster too.

It's too much of a risk on Pumpfun because of the trashy memes that are made here, some people even dare to do rugfull on Pumpfun while live streaming so it's obviously blindly trying to make money in an instant.
Maybe ordinary people looking for degen memes on Pumpfun are widely misused by some people just looking for personal gain.

You are right; there are many fake and scammy meme projects on Pump Fun, and this is one of the many reasons I don't trade in meme coins as I said before, we should stay away from Pump Fum and other similar platforms where we can deploy and buy, sell any meme coin.
The opportunity is hard to find in meme coins many people bought the trump coin and his wife's coin, Melania, in the hope of making money, but they ended up losing a lot because they expected big from Trump on inauguration day.
Making money in memecoins, especially the ones that are too new, is total gambling because we don't know whether it will pump or not. I also airdropped with a meme coin I planned to hold, and now it's 3x down from the price I found. It is really terrifying to see that in a market like this, memecoins can make people a hell of a lot of loss, but, yeah, profit too.

More than fake or scammy projects, I think 'unserious' is right word, pump.fun makes it so easy to create tokens so people just fuck around there.

I do not trade all these currency and there are many fake and false meme coin projects in the ups of the pump fun so it is better to stay away from these platform. It is really fate that you will make a lot of money from meme coin and many coins like trump and melena coin will come to the market but the latest investor assets will be damaged. The several meme coin came to the market from telegram gaming this year, but everyone is a masked fraud. The community fraudsters of these projects and their job is to make money so they are cheating a lot over the new hype.

Just like people who just understand crypto can create meme tokens there, then the platform is definitely the right word to be called a den of memecoin fraud.
There are so many hundreds of memes created every day that you can even say thousands, but why are so many looking for memes there?

Because some meme tokens created there have given massive profits so people in hopes of same, snipe each meme token that pops up from there.

Yep that's more suitable unserious because they meant to be unserious as they only allows us to create meme tokens there and we know these meme coins how they work and how it attract liquidity and how a creator can rug pull once he saw enough liquidity.
The big cases are easily noticed by news outlets like hawk tuah but small cases are not public but still happening in which meme token creators on pump.fun are scamming and rugpulling.
I would never buy anything from pump.fun unless I have 10 million dollars haha as I might have 100$ to waste on such tokens.

This is the main reason why the so called snipers/gem hunters moved from Ethereum to Solana. You can try all these higher fees but for a cheaper price. I haven't tried on Solana but I've had this bad experience of many transaction fails because of slippage even though I tried to increase it up to 15 or 20%. Found out it has to be something like 30% and above
