Lately, I've been seeing a lot of new GameFi launches. In the past few weeks, we've seen MomoAI, Sonic, and now Xterio announcing listing preparations.
Last year, I’d say the GameFi sector underperformed because we had high hopes after the mini run by Big Time, but alas, it wasn’t to be. This year, there have been some improvements. I’ve noticed quality projects with good utilities and innovations, particularly on Solana, Ton, and BSC.
Do you think we’re finally in for a sustained GameFi run?

2024 is an interesting year for GameFi as many Tap-2-Earn projects have been successfully deployed on Ton and attracted millions of players. However, they are not really games, they are not entertaining, and all they create are boring and meaningless activities from investors and airdrop hunters.
I like GameFi and believe that this trend will return this season, in 2025. I don't expect it to grow sustainably because GameFi is still just a part of the crypto market and it will have large fluctuations along with the entire crypto market, at least for this season and the next few seasons.

Well I hope it returns in 2025. Seen some good launches this year already. Which of gamefi are you keeping an eye on?. Xter(Xterio is the lastest to go live). It's all over CT actually. Was on bybit launchpad and now on Poolx.

I don't have a particular favorite game. I used to be interested in Axs because it's a Vietnamese product, but its gameplay is quite boring and not worth sticking with. I joined the crypto market as an investor, not a gamer, so I'll choose some promising GameFi tokens like IMX or PIXEL to invest in to make a profit.
I've never heard of Xter, probably because it hasn't been listed on Binance CEX. Being supported by Bybit is also pretty good for the project. I wish the project will be successful and its token will soon be listed on many major CEXs to reach more potential investors in GameFi trend :)

Pixel hasn't really delivered yunno, but I think they could come good. Portal too.. wish we could go back to 2022 really when Gamefi took over the space..
With the way Xter is going, we might see it on Binance soon. Oh it's already live. https://x.com/XterioGames/status/1876934230141546852?t=dq6Z0HxCJfsRRcldZdOSgw&s=19 with some good giveaways too.

One of the reasons I love Web3 is that we keep building. Where past projects stop, new ones build upon them, leading to more sustainable games these days. And it will only get better from here, buddy!

I have lost already my enthusiasm with gamefis. I thought that it is going to make everyone's dream come true. it did somehow and I won't discredit them for that. But we have to look at every picture of these potentially good gamefi projects that they are not sustainable at all. I will get back and focus on it if the larger gaming companies gets on it. Maybe we'll only see it when GTA VI is released and there is an in-game economy that people could live as well in exchange of goods in there for some real money.

You play GTA too? I'm not sure if Rockstar would even consider putting it on the blockchain or offering NFT and crypto trading. Big game companies don't want to risk a bad rep with blockchain games, they have way too much to protect!
I just wish some team would rip off the GTA gameplay and develop a new game in the crypto world, then we could experience it and earn rewards in it. We need a fun game like that instead of the hundreds of boring ones currently in the GameFi world.
