Title: Gamefi and this Q1
Post by: B.Otasowie on January 11, 2025, 04:25:40 PM
The general market is looking bearish creating fear and this is following past market price actions.

In Q1 of the bear market, the majority of cryptocurrencies create new ATH, and this is the reason I am considering investing in Lost DOGS (WOOF), a Gamefi project.

I have been skeptical about Gamefi projects. The idea of play-to-earn has since dropped.

Before investing in the project, I would love to see what you guys think about the project and share projects worth investing in.

The market is looking shaky, and a lot of people are feeling uncertain. But if we look at past trends, this kind of movement isn’t surprising. Some projects still manage to push higher even in times like these. It’s smart to be cautious before investing. Checking how active the community is, who’s behind it, and whether there’s real demand is always a good move. Also, spreading your investment across different options can help lower the risk.

If play to earn is your thing I will advice to go for stronger P2E projects like Beam, Superverse or Gala.

I said this because these coins holds better value than new gaming projects that could die any week from now, BTC value still looks uncertain as we can drop down to 70,000 again, you don't want to invest in weak projects at this point.

Find something stronger, have anyone see how Vulcan Forged is holding up? One of the strongest going coin so far.

If the fi game in question is like a game on telegram with and there are small tasks, it no longer has space at this time... even many of these games end up like trash....

I just realized that the game space that is connected to crypto, also needs hype to be able to raise its position... yes, let's just think of it like memecoin, which needs hype to be able to skyrocket.... fi games are the same... even if I think the peak of fi games was when Axie infinity was at its peak... and now unfortunately axie infinity has faded..

Hey, I totally get where you're coming from. The market's definitely giving off that classic bear vibe—lots of fear, but also those random altcoin pumps that make you wonder if something big is brewing under the surface.

As for Lost DOGS (WOOF), I’ve been keeping an eye on it too. I was a bit hesitant at first since, like you said, GameFi lost a lot of steam after the initial hype cycle. The whole play-to-earn model kind of burned out when people realized the economics weren’t always sustainable.

That said, Lost DOGS seems to be approaching it a little differently—more focus on fun, community, and storytelling rather than just “grind-to-earn,” which is a nice change. If they can actually deliver on gameplay and keep users engaged long-term, it might have some legs.

Still, it’s early, so I’d tread carefully—maybe start small and see how the devs keep up post-launch.

As for other projects, I’ve seen some early noise around AI x Gaming hybrids on SOL and TON. Stuff like Fusionist and AIrena (if you’re into cross-genre innovation) could be worth watching. Also, check out any project leaning into on-chain gaming assets—those seem to be trending.

Curious to hear what others are watching too. Always on the lookout for gems in the rough.

Yeah, true. A lot of FI games now are kinda boring and feel the same. Some even end up useless. Just like memecoins, FI games need hype to grow. No hype, no success. Axie Infinity was big before, but now it's faded.
