are you aware of what we call "trash talk"?
this often is done when playing games in a way to aggravate the opponent and at times express excitement as well in gambling games i think it can also be applied especially with sports events where you bet some bettors would do trash talk in an attempt to make fun of the other bettors
do you think this is acceptable behavior or should we stop doing this? often times trash talking has led to violence and disagreements due to people taking it personal but does this not make the matches more exciting? what do you think?

this is very common on combat sports where fighter is mentally attacking his opponent. Conor Mcgregor was once one of the best in doing this t the same time hyping the fight to gain PPV sales. when people sees he is backing up what he says, its time to really bet on him.
i don't know if it would apply to the bettors though. you'd he to hurt them badly that they bet against you because it turns personal. its not acceptable but for someone who only cares about making money, they'd ignore whoever is trash talking.

First of all i want to believe that this kind of talk is only applicable to the physical casinos and there is no how we can experience much of these while dealing with an online gambling platform, that being said, we should know to who we are going to be engaging this kind of talk to, if it is an acceptable one to them or not, we cant apply same approach on all gamblers, sometimes it could be annoying to some while entertaining to others, so we need to know the kind of gamblers involved before making move to talking trash.

Not only in gambling house would you hear of trash talk. Trash talk can be hear of, in any place people gathered publicly, you see people teasing and cajole themselves. Although that shouldn't be taking serious because whatever that is say ends there. If you don't like what is being said there, you take a walk than taking the words being said personal, when it's not supposed to be so

It is important to know that in the course of our social interactions we are bound to come across comments or conversations that are unpalatable, or go against our values. Sometimes, it is good to keep off emotionally which will ensure that we are not overwhelmed by unexpected feelings that come with certain environemnt. Not all words from others’ mouth should is require serious consideration most especially if it is just for a joke or to pass the time. Not paying attention to things that do not concern us is a good way to remain stress free. If we feel out of place with such atmosphere, it’s easy to walk out or move to another environment that won’t shake our tranquilly with all sorts of negatives.

Ah, trash talk I love it. I used to play lot of video games and the games that I had most fun was where trash talk was involved. Should be bringing similar excitement in the sports betting as well.
Though, it should never reach the level of irl violence.

We have a saying that when Rome does as the Romans do, its very common. I have seen in the early 2000's where young people were thrashtalking each other for bets, and after the game they were friends again; this added excitement to the game.
Sometimes its annoying, but you have to get used to it. People find it fun to do; you can find it in cockpit arena, in dota games, or just at any betting station with the exception of the lottery.

Yeah, I know what you mean! Trash talk is pretty normal in games and betting, especially during sports. It can make things more fun and hype, but if it gets too personal, it can lead to fights and problems. It’s fine if it’s all jokes and everyone’s chill with it. But if it gets too harsh, it’s not cool. People should know when to chill. At the end of the day, it’s about having fun, not causing drama.

what you call trash talk is actually what makes gambling fun and interesting as the opposing team will bet against the other teams and talk down on the other teams so different people will talk down on their opposing team with the aim of proving a point
These kind of talks has caused problems sometimes but is actually healthy as any one that takes things personal is not yet matured enough mentally to know that what they are doing is fun and entrainment so things should not be taken personal because trash talk is actually needed to bring a healthy discussion about opposition teams from other fans
-
Trash talks can never be avoided, because it what makes games and betting fun. During trash talks, people are motivated to bet, predicting the final outcome of the match. Trash talks is necessary where your favorite team is combating with an opposing team, you trying to talk down on them because of their performance. So it helps people to bet and win within themselves.

the thing is many people who gamble are not yet at that level of maturity unfortunately i would be comfortable doing trash talk to someone who i know would not take it personally and would even bite back at me and make the match fun and exciting
kids who are still very vulnerable and do not yet know the limits of fun banter to just plain rudeness makes them susceptible to more fights and personal disagreements

I have no problem with it unless there's a rule during the game that it becomes a distraction.
We've seen athletes talk trash to throw off their opponent's game/psyche. One fighter that quickly comes to mind is Conor McGregor who defeated Jose Aldo in the UFC championship even before their match started. Aldo was the defending champ back then but you could clearly see that he was so uncomfortable during their pre-match interviews and face offs. When other fighters caught up to Conor's taunts, the trash talking doesn't affect that much. Anyway, the point is physical and mental toughness are required in sports.

Well this is true and is very common in gambling and I agree that this is one of the reasons why a heated argument were made because of trash talking as we all know sometimes people are not having it or not in a good mood then suddenly they got trash talked with one of their friends or just a random guy and yeah this is wrong for me to be honest as this was proven offensive for some that might lead to serious trouble.

Sometimes people who do not accept the jokes will start a fight, so if it is excessive, it will be full of drama that should be fun with the jokes.
There is a friend betting on a favorite team and the two of them are opposed to each other because the opponent is fierce but on the other hand he celebrates so much that it becomes a big fight, so avoid things like this.

I think you'll cause some controversies if you put a rule that bans people from "trash talking" unless you can define the scope very clearly and make everyone agree with your definition. It would be difficult to do that when the environment or majority of people involved in the business like the status quo. I think a better way to stop the culture is to encourage people to improve their mental strength so trash talking will be useless, but there's no guarantee everyone can do that either. Fortunately, I've learned to detach myself from what people think of me so I won't be affected if people start spouting bullshit every now and then.

I’ve not actually seen this trash talk amongst gamblers or bettors but I see it all the time amongst football fans where fans of a particular club trash talk the other club, especially in a viewing centre when there’s an ongoing football game. Honestly I think this actually makes watching the games more interesting and fun, and this is actually the main reason why people despite having a television and a cable in their house would rather prefer to go to a viewing centre to watch the game because of these harmless trash talks.
Yes some people do take these talks personal and it could result to violence, but this rarely happens and it is only those who do not really understand fun that’ll take things to that extreme.

Trash talk in a way can be seen as banter. It is the beauty of the game. Those who get offended by banter are amature and still behave like kids. I advise people to only trash talk with their friends to avoid issues

It is a part of the sport and something that you must be mature to deal with when you start watching and following a sport that has many supporters because if you cannot deal with it, you will be angry most of the time from banter from other club supporters. Some of the people who have not been able to deal with it are usually the ones who are involved in violence.

I think that when you play you should be aware that you are risking money, talks can be done in many ways, but you should not pay it with someone who can Mess with us, sometimes there are people who only seek to make you lose patience, and this is fed only when you give them importance, it should not be given importance as a challenge, sometimes you Talk just to pass the time , but no more , but if you realize that it is for something that is not Going to be Beneficial then it Should stop being done.

We are free to and allowed to engaged on anything that can bring joy and lots of excitement to us when we are gambling, this is mostly applicable to those engaged in physical casino gambling, but if we are the type that may not like to be where there is distraction to gambling such as noises, we may try to embrace the use of online gambling platforms more often just for our own good.

This will come back to the things we like more, when we prefer to be in the middle of a crowd when gambling for example, then we can choose a physical casino to gamble. But if we prefer gambling that is not disturbed by anything, then online casinos will be our choice, because we can play alone without anyone bothering us. Well what we like more then do that.

Trash talk is part of what makes the game intresting, infact it's the rationale behind the reason why people will likely leave there fully subscribed DStv and we'll furnished house to go an see the match in a viewing centre with less comfort

IMO, it doesn't matter if trash talk is acceptable on a personal level since it varies across individuals and is subjective. What's important is the rules of the game. As long as it's still allowed by the rules, everyone must comply.
Anyway, if you ask my personal belief then it's okay to do trash talk on anything. What's not okay for me is actual threat, violence, and doxxing.

Not sure if I agree, I am able to catch action on TV better than stadiums tbh, unlike watching on stadium where everything feels raw, on TV — the commentaries and replays makes it much better to absorb what's going on.

The trash talk is what makes sports so beautiful. Without trash talk, just think of how dull a gaming environment would be. Fans would start to lose interest in gaming because of the ominous atmosphere. The trash talk should not be so severe, though, as to incite the rival fan's ire.
Losing a game or wager can be emotionally taxing, and a gambler who is already losing—especially when a significant sum is at stake—is hurt. For this reason, trash talk should be controlled and should be motivated by a love of sports rather than hatred or oppression. While trash talking is acceptable among fans, it should be done in a sportsmanlike manner.

Trash talk can be fun, but only if it's friendly. If people take it too seriously, it can cause fights. I remember playing poker with friends, and one guy kept saying, "You always lose!" At first, it was funny, but later, someone got upset. So instead of having fun, we where trying to keep the guy cool...
