As someone who is not a fan of gaming, it takes a lot of will to ignore gamefi projects with NFTs infused. NFTs have somehow added value to the gaming ecosystem, right ?
A friend introduced Machina a gaming/NFT project which according to him is the world’s first blockchain game to support decentralized tournaments. Players get to own NFTs when taking part in competitive battles. With its token MXNA getting listed very soon, it will garner significant attention. I would like to know your thoughts on Gaming/NFTs significance.

According to the theory, we can completely create GameFi without NFTs, however, they will not be able to fully utilize the power of blockchain even though the publisher can still reward players with crypto to keep them contributing and watching more ads.
The existence of NFTs is the perfect piece for GameFi to have more value with scarcity and uniqueness for players. I am a fan of Diablo II, I would be very happy to experience its GameFi version with limited items and exciting rewards when I complete the quests to protect the world ^^

Exactly…if Gamefi and NFTs can co-exist it will have a huge impact on it, as i said earlier it was the NFT infusion that made me interested. So, definitely if other gaming projects can introduce NFTs that will be a good strategy to get more users onboard. If you have any other projects you can recommend, i’d be glad.

Yeah, NFTs have definitely changed things by letting people actually own their in-game items. Instead of just playing for fun, now players can trade or sell what they earn. It adds a new layer to the experience, especially for those who enjoy collecting rare stuff or making something out of it. If a project is bringing something new, like decentralized tournaments, it could get a lot of attention. But as always, it's good to look deeper before getting involved. Some ideas take off, while others don’t last long.

Previously, we heard about the value of NFTs in GameFi: they were unique and irreplaceable characters or equipment, they were game-playing rights, they were unique avatars... Everything was just a tool to create FOMO. There were few players but many people wanting to make money in that trend.
Currently, GameFi hasn't returned, so NFTs have almost been forgotten. I believe that GameFi and the Play-to-Earn feature enabled NFTs to reach more investors for stronger development. Without profits from GameFi, investors won't have much demand to touch NFTs.

With the momentum shifting to memecoins, NFT projects need to be revolutionary to attract investment. Given the current market landscape and the uncertainty surrounding them, I don't expect them to generate significant cash flow.
In simpler terms, if you're not strongly (over 90%) certain that the project will succeed, don't invest.
