Today has been quite interesting, one reason was a token I saw named ANIME. First, I was quite surprised that the Ticker had not yet been taken considering how quick people are to make tokens like that. I've seen a much of other anime related tokens like Luffy and the likes but this was interesting as well.
It's going to be on the Eth and ARB chain, backed by NFT brand Azuki, and is supposed to be the “culture coin of the anime industry”...I'm not buying the that sentiment though, just looks like an attempt to build their audience on with anime watchers but funny enough, it might work. What do you guys think about this token, is this just a futile attempt at trying to make use of an already existing fan base or will it become something impressive?

Go for it, but expect Shueisha to come full guns after you.
They are one of the strictest manga publishers out there and have hundreds of legal battles just as lawyers, that coin will be gone in a few months if he publishes anything close to one of the mangas in the Shounen Jump!

That's a valid concern! But I want you to know that the ANIME token is actually being backed by Azuki, a popular NFT brand. It is also a crypto asset that will debut on Ethereum and Arbitrum, according to their whitepaper, so they probably have their own plan to avoid copyright issues. Either way, I would like to see how it goes, because a lot of good things have been said about the project on X, and also to see how the community initiative will drive exposure for $ANIME, especially for holders to enjoy the airdrop share of $5k worth of $ANIME https://x.com/bitgetglobal/status/1882659595619033189- that one is important!

Which means nothing!
There are thousands of NFT brands with AI-generated images that will not dare to touch any of the actual manga characters.
If their name is ANIME then what anime or manga do they have? Oh wait, crickets!
Show me one collectible that is actually taken from one popular show and I will give this thing the benefit of doubt, but right now I just call it junk.

Anime industry is a billion dollar industry for anime studios so unless famous studios like Kyoto animation, Toei Animation, MAPPA Studio and other studios adopt this token it will definitely not be the “culture coin of the anime industry”. So if you don’t find any news from these studios then stay away from it.

Calling it the "culture coin of the anime industry" sounds like a marketing move more than anything. It feels like they just wanna tap into anime fans and build hype. But, sometimes hype is all it takes for a token to take off.
