People from bitcointalk know what I am talking but for others just a brief, when we click the report to moderator button we see our reporting stats like how many good, bad and unhandled reported posts which I believe can be implemented here as well, cause I hope that will help the forum to be clean from spam by encouraging the users to report whenever they see it.
Also, do we have any other perks when we report a lot? Like +Karma or even a mod status. ;)

If I can actually remember clearly too on Bitcointalk, I think those particular statistics about your report that you mentioned only display on your report page after you've had some amount of report I guess it should be a couple tens for that to happen. Nevertheless it would be ok to know if reporting scam posts in the forum has some extra benefits like you mentioned.
Nevertheless those stats should be implemented if they aren't as it will definitely help sort out those that often report low quality posts from those that don't frequently.

I believe this feature is available in this SMF forum version and they may have disabled it to save resources so it may be reactivated if there is enough demand or a certain number of reports. As for getting mod status, from what I understand, admin are not in a hurry to make new accounts moderators so you need to have a good report history and wait a year or more.

Positive report story gives a chance of getting a beautiful badge of DTeam (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=323.0) (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/Themes/default/images/dteam.png) in your profile! ;)

If I am not wrong x numbers of good reports is not alone to have Dteam badge, it must be a decision taken by decision right and also since we don't have how many good reports we have the encouragement to pursue the badge from users will not be there.

Don't pursue the badge; instead, do what you have to do and enjoy it; the badge will come. There is no minimum amount of posts required to join the team because we do not want it exploited, and we only want organic reporters, not members looking for a badge.

Like I previously mentioned I never go on a spree for looking posts to report I am very hesitant on reporting, only confident when the threads posted in wrong threads and it moved after successful reporting as well and that is one of the reason why I created this thread, we need some kind of things that encourages the users to report and stats/numbers is a good way of accomplishing it.

My last comment wasn't about you but for general concern and to your proposal I agreed we should have the reporting stats, it helps when you can be able to track report success this way you know if the mods agrees with your reports or not.
So many requests already and this might end up on the "to do list" till whenever.

I did not saw we don't have those features here, haha as I don't report much and whenever I reported, I never noticed that, well we must have that thing here too, and speaking of positive karma and negative karma on reporting a bad and good post for just karma, respectively, is not implemented unless you are reporting a good post or user for spam and who is using AI etc. to make posts.
In exchange, you can get some perks and the one badge you can get is the decentralized team badge, if you would visit the section above of the decentralized team you will know what I am talking about, as you can see not much people have this tag too.

This is the reason why we should have the stats because the numbers always gives some kind of encouragement and it just keep pushing further even if there is no benefits of having high number of reports. Probably this may not be in the priority of to do list but if it's possible to implement that can bring positive impact.

This is the link https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=327813.0 posted earlier this week, I'm surprised you haven't seen it yet.
It has a senate board that is visible only to senators, where possible changes to the forum are discussed. Some proposals did not even pass the discussion in the Senate, while some were voted out and presented to all forum members.
That's why I wrote "I haven't seen this proposal in the Senate" because there was no discussion about "reporting stats on the "report to moderator page" in the Forum's Senate.
I know and that's exactly the reason i left the link behind so you can create a discussion about it on the senate board for further deliberation since the topic hasn't been created before
In order not to derail further from the offtopic other thread, I will move this discussion here, it is a more suitable topic for that.
If this discussion has already been posted here, there is no need for an additional one in the Senate's forum board. The creator of the initiative or anyone can leave a link on the chat and ask the admin to give his opinion, which is crucial here.
As for the request itself, what I see is the following.
Altt forum does not insist on copying all features from Bitcointalk. The way of managing reported posts is quite different and I am not sure that it is feasible to have some useful and precise statistics.
For some posts that were reported for obvious spam or offtopic, there was no reaction, I even received an explanation in PM that there is no violation of forum rules. I got the impression that this type of post-moderation is much more tolerant and flexible than what I'm used to.
In the end, posts are most often not deleted permanently, but just moved to the trash section.
If this question were to be raised in the Senate, I would probably prefer not to think about this feature for the time being, especially if it requires more engagement for implementation. There are some other things that I would give higher priority to, while keeping in mind that "report post" options, do not have primary importance for managing "bad" posts, this is done through DT membership and with more involvement of moderators. It works for now because the forum does not have too many active members and written posts.

I agree that will surely bring positive impact and an encouragement as it did to us on BTT whenever I saw hey I have a good accuracy at least above 90% it means I am not reporting the good guys or good posts there.
But implementing it here might need more convincing as admin is not that active here anymore as I expected in start he was super active but with time he is more active in public chat or in discussions brought to his attention by public chat. Still if this thread attracts the admin attention then he might add it to his todo list.

After reading this reply, I pinned this thread on the chat and let's see what he says about this.
I am not sure how difficult to implement this but other's mentioned that it's possible in SMF so might not be that hard and won't disrupt the operation of usual operation.
-

Its a good idea to know about this, report appropriately and not because of the reward as some have already suggested, but it is more significant that members should not even have an idea of what may be in for a reporter, once the moderators have seen enough accuracy in what they are posting, then they will take note of the account and use their requirement criteria in giving the badge if deserving, because once the members have the idea of what they stand to get for doing this, abuse may be inevitable.

Good this way you can get his attention easily and he might add this to his list and TBH for an expert nothing is hard and generally speaking it looks hard because it requires mathematical calculations but with ai bots the code writing has become too much easy.
I hope we will saw an update like this but right now there are not so much spam ongoing because many d team members are already doing their best to report spam.

You are right by sharing the questions and improvements on public chat can easily attract the attention of Admin, but I deny that he is not active he is still active and spending lot of time here on this forum but he is not replying to the threads anymore unless the questions really deserve his attention.
He does not have to pay attention to the same questions again and again maybe that's why he is not responding to the questions anymore. I agree that this update would prove to be in best favor for all of as it would be encouraging.

You are probably talking about report history in btt. It appears when you make 300 reports AFAIK.
There isn't anything similar here....
I believe we don't have too much spam activity here, so there are less posts to report.

Many things need to be done which they will make things easy for the users of the forum but those things are not call consider relevant. "Op" or related abbreviation to identify the topic starter is needed but users in the forum also said it is not needed. I believed I saw it in the forum a year back. And the delete button a comment is highly needed but it is not relevant.
So I don't know how if this one is also seen as relevant. The above two are also recommended to be implemented for the forum.

Before now they have been many requests like this made by members on this forum for adjustments of some certain things but I don't think most of them will be fixed anytime soon. The only thing I see was addressed as soon as possible was actually adjusting the number of sub boards since most of them made the forum quite messy.
Anyways as for the delete button I really don't think it will be implemented soon but I would actually like it implemented though. Sometimes because of reloading issues you can end up posting the same thing twice and since there is no delete button the best you could end up doing is actually reporting one of them to the moderator for deletion.

That I also agree with mate, he don't have to reply every little question where an OP has mentioned him to reply back.
Whatever the reason is he is lesser responsive in my thought I can be wrong, maybe I am not spending much time in section where he is active so no comment let's leave it the thing that matter is the feature of report stats we must have it.

That's how SMF works anyway - nothing is temporary deleted, every removed posts are moved to the trash can, the only difference between ALT and BTT is the trashcan is visible for every members on ALT while only mods can see what's in the trashcan on Bitcointalk..
Gives the admin to revise wrong decisions on post moderation.. whenever I delete a post that wasn't supposed to be deleted, i just goto the trashcan and send the link to theymos for recovery.
