Yesterday I saw a post in Facebook coming from someone who is also involved with cryptocurrency market for years and she decided to wrap up her involvement altogether meaning she sold all of her crypto holdings as she got tired of the roller-coaster ride, the volatility and she felt that the market is already heading to the south.
Now, it struck me all because I am feeling the same thing too though there is that part of me that is telling me to not give up at this time just because I am still hoping for a bigger bull run and altseason coming though I have to be honest that am getting discouraged on this aspect.
Am I alone here feeling this way or do I have a company?

It seems like the energy you give to the crypto world is too much, my friend? So that you can feel tired in exploring this digital world? The energy you put out reflects the hopes you hold... the greater your hopes for crypto, the greater the possibility that you will feel heartache to the point of giving up.... I even feel that more people stick to crypto who only spend 30 minutes to 1 hour per day, whether just reading the news, seeing notifications or learning about crypto... their small hopes persist because they don't consider crypto a burden... it's one of their pleasures, and on the other hand they have more important things than this cryptocurrency too...
Rather than completely abandoning cryptocurrency, I can suggest you to change your priorities for cryptocurrency, for example lowering its priority to an activity that will only be done during free time... at least it doesn't completely abandon it, because there are still big opportunities in this crypto world

I've been the crypto space for around 7 years already (although I'm not an expert still), but not even once that I felt that I need to quit investing into crypto or to cut my involvement into it. I mean what's the reason? Overwhelmed? Lost a lot already? I didn't experience both of them... or maybe the overwhelmed part, but that's when I'm still a newbie.
I don't see any reason for me to give up or to stop being involved into crypto. I believe that crypto is constantly evolving and that the market will just become larger and larger as years go by. I hope that the person in the Facebook post that you saw will not regret her decision.

Everyone who is involved with crypto has something to come so as long as it is fulfilled, everyone is involved in everything from investment to everything. I have a friend who spends only 2-3 hours a day on crypto because he invests in addition to trading and makes shot time profit. Since my friend profit target is low so he is happy with a small profit which causes his loss to be less.
On the other hand, I want to make a lot of money from crypto so I invest even after loss. But I don't want to move away from crypto and I want to make a limit on my use and money. Instead of leaving the cryptocurrency i can advise you to change your priorities for cryptocurrency. You can invest a limited time and money if you want and you will invest as much as you can.

This feeling of fatigue seems to be a trend and is highly linked to the altcoins that have been falling constantly, many of which have already fallen by more than 60%
With the gains we've made in recent months, many of us are practically online 24 hours a day, checking prices, making transactions, participating in projects, looking at X, Discord and other social networks and this can be very tiring when prices fall as they have
But there are good solutions instead of selling everything and going out of business
I've been on the market since 2017, that's more than 7 years and I've experienced these moments a few times
-
It seems that you are filling your bag with a lot of altcoins and they are not doing well as you expected. Or maybe you are trading and nothing to show for it. It's better you keep your bitcoin if you have any and stick to strictly buying and hodli because there's a good reward for bitcoin long-term investors in future.
Personally, I just started exploring the cryptospace and I ain't gonna quite tikl I die because I love the easy means of investing in bitcoin and hodli. I cannot wait to see hoa many bitcoin I will accumulate in future and how much the price of bitcoin will be by then. Only invest with your extra money.
-
it must be tiring if he had have enough of the roller coaster ride already, its tiresome ride if he wasn't making money at all. i sometimes feel this way when the token goes up and then suddenly down without even reaching its overbought level.
investing in crypto for awhile and expect to make large sum in few months can be a too good to be true expectation. if this is how easy it is, people would have flocked in crypto just waiting for things to bubble, but then Trump seem to have given them the assurance of crypto prices to shoot up.
-
Am I alone here feeling this way or do I have a company?
No you are not only the one person who is feeling that way, If we look at it in real life, most people in the entire crypto market experience these kinds of feelings.
However, those who can do marketing analysis or understand market psychology well may not go through such stress in such situations. Now I don't know what the market situation will be like in the future, but I myself am a little stressed about the state of this market, whether the altcoin season will come this time, and whether bitcoin will create more all-time high prices.
-
Some attitudes help a lot with this tiredness issue
A simple weekend break without internet can help a lot, it's simple but effective
Perhaps investing only in Bitcoin and 1 altcoin is enough to get great returns with very little worry, without having to stay tuned to charts and news all the time.

The crypto market hasn't been favorable for altcoin investors, in as which many investors have lost hope, giving up on their crypto investments, not to keep hodling onto it.
I understand that not everyone can keep up with hodling onto to their altcoin holdings at this time the market looks bearish. But one thing that is sure in this is that the market will recover back, and everyone will see the anticipated price the long for their invested altcoin to reach.
However, hold on tight in your altcoin accumulation because soon enough the bearish market on altcoin will be over and we will see the altcoins season

Nah, I do not have that feeling, I'm still very much positive that we can move on and make some money in this market. It could be just mental fatigue though, and it could be "normal" for individuals to feel that way.
But I'm not sure why you and that person was tired.
I understand her concerns that maybe because there's no altcoin season yet. But the best approach could be to take a break from crypto and focus on other things for at least a week and then go back. Maybe that time your vigor will be back and wanted to trade or accumulate then.

We all are tired of this roller coaster I am not that much due to lesser investments but I am also tired of roller coaster, but I know when people will leave the market out of tiredness then market will make another pump and people will regret their selling.
Many people are already in lose some are to their investing price zone they have lose their profit too, therefore now they have nothing to lose too but the investment so it is better to stick to the plan alts will recover soon.

Am I alone here feeling this way or do I have a company?
If you've been losing a lot, you will feel drained, and you will have a feeling that you need to stop or take a break and just comeback later, but if you are on the other side, like you've been making a lot of profit, then you will be motivated to continue your journey.
I have a mix of both, but I have decided to go on because of the habit of always looking in the market and posting on forums.
There is more to life than cryptocurrency; your mental health is the one that matters, so you should be honest with yourself and do what you have to do.
-
Am I alone here feeling this way or do I have a company?
You cannot be alone because patience is tiring, and once some people are able to find something they feel is better and requires less patience, they are quick to bail out on crypto and move on.
For those making that choice, I hope that they are not giving up on investments in general, maybe merely seeking opportunities to invest outside cryptocurrency.
Not choosing to have any form of investment will be a terrible choice to make.

Right now, what you say about Altcoin is real, because the situation is not okay because the altcoin season awaited has not yet been seen in front of the eyes and is always experiencing continuous corrections, even though Bitcoin can move well.
But, optimism, as you say, is that it must continue to be echoed that the market situation will recover and immediately to continue to hold Altcoin so that when the bearish season ends there will be benefits in front of us.

I've been holding 2 altcoins for nearly a year already (ATOM and TIA), and right now, I'm at a huge loss on both of them because I bought them near around 2024. You will know what's the price of both of them at that time especially TIA where it went up to as high as $20, and I know that it will not be reached anymore... or at least not in this bull run.
I believe and I know that there will be an altcoin season that will happen this year that's why I'm still holding on to them and aside from holding it, I'm also staking it as well to at least increase the number of tokens that I'm holding.
The altcoin season will happen this year, but don't expect that all of the altcoins will pump. There are many altcoins out there already, and the amount of money that's flowing to altcoins isn't increasing as well. In short, it's diluted.

It is normal that at certain times the volatility routine can affect us, especially when we have been in cryptocurrencies for many years, but that routine is part of the game. During those times it is best to lower the “level of attention” we give to our crypto portfolio and also to the strategy we are executing. Less computer, less mobile, more exercise and walking are things that have often helped me clear my head so I can return with renewed energy. I've been doing it this way for years and it works for me.

Judging by a few of the responses here what keeps a few people around and motivates them is the $.
Not sure how one can say greed is healthy and can overcome stress caused by always looking at the price and counting pennies, but in the end, it's everyone's choice how they live their life, but at the same time hard to speak about morals when this happens.

No, greed is the opposite of healthy, greed is mental slavery, and that is something very dangerous that can lead us not only to lose many things around us, but to lose ourselves since it is a spiral that has no end. Bitcoin will continue its path, the rest of the cryptocurrencies and our investments (correct or not) too, we do not need to be looking at the candles to be happy 1% more or feel sad 2% less. I can understand stockbrokers doing it, but not us "normal" people with normal jobs and lives. Life is much more than Bitcoin or money.

I don't deny that greed is one of human nature's vices, but it also creates expectations and efforts. Without greed, there would be no FOMO, no uptrend, no market volatility, and no profit for investors.
In this case, the market would be as boring as social media, and people would soon leave to avoid wasting time and effort investing. With the recent decline, altcoin holders are feeling desperate about altseason, and many analysts even predict that altseason will not happen this season, which may be why people are gradually becoming bored and leaving crypto.

It's not easy, the crypto world is full of risks, the journey is like being on a roller coaster. but for me, this is one of the special things I've encountered in my life. So, I just need to enjoy it here. If it's related to the market situation, it's been like this for a long time, what can I do. No need to be too emotional here, you have to be stronger. and or maybe you need to take a break, take a break, and get a vacation to relieve your stress.

If selling all your portfolio will help you sleep better at night, then by all means do it. You are probably investing in so many shitcoins for you to be 'tired', it is hard keeping up when you are gambling with many altcoins. However, if you are just holding BTC and you are not greedy, you aren't going to feel tired because you know that it is not a pump and dump coin.
-

Are you sure when you say that everyone here has a normal job and life?
I am kind of willing to bet that a lot have turned crypto into their only income source and are heavily dependent on it, and furthermore, since we talk about 1%, 2% , the problem for them is not the daily changes it's the time that passes away and more and more it seems like revenues of x10 or x100 are no longer possible, making that cozy rich life everyone dreamed of with 1000 satoshi farther and farther away.

Lol, why not? People investing always do it out of greed?

I never been bored with crypto investment, it always entertain the users in the unexpected ways and I am sure there are good days and bad days but in terms of long term goals there's always profits. The person should have made enough money and now considering how to spend all of their money or in the worst case the person has never confident with cryptos and bought and sold at the wrong time that only caused them the loss.
-
I just recently got to know cryptocurrency so I haven't felt bored to learn every day. Maybe this is also a good time for me to learn digital because instead of wasting my time playing playstation, it would be better for me to learn cryptocurrency.
This industry also taught me that the latest technology is cryptocurrency because we are explained transparently and in detail about the meaning of decentralized. The point is I just fill my free time in this cryptocurrency and am grateful if I can generate funds from this cryptocurrency.

When you're starting, it will be overwhelming, and it will not be easy. Having a mentor would ease that feeling of getting overwhelmed, but if you're learning all of it alone like what I did when I was a newbie, it really is hard.
Fortunately, my why is much larger than the feelings hence, I continued learning and it might be a roller coaster ride like you said, but if you ride a roller coaster, most of the time you will feel the excitement, and it's the same with cryptocurrency investing where you will feel excitement. Of course, not all the time it's happiness since you will experience losses along the way, but what I would say is that "Enjoy the process." Disregard your emotions if possible and focus on creating your strategies. Focus on why you invested in the crypto space.
If break is needed, take it. If quitting is needed, do it if it affects you mentally already, but as long as you can, don't stop learning and investing. :)

When I said that greed is mental slavery, I was not referring to the market part, I was referring to the normal user part, like you and me. I can tell you that I personally do not live off cryptocurrencies, I live thanks to my work, what I do with cryptocurrencies is hold them for the future, I guess like many other people in the world. I don't spend hours a day looking at my portfolio because although I have always thought that cryptocurrencies (the few that are worth it) will be a success and will be adopted by many more millions of people in the future, it is not something that I am obsessed with.
Everything has to go through a process, red candles and green candles, lies and truths, and we accumulate until we make a decision, and we believe that it is the right time. I think that's how we win.

Nowhere in the sentence I wrote will you find the word "everyone", I mean in general, although there will also be people who live solely off their cryptocurrency earnings, but not everyone.

My friend felt the same years ago and that's why he has sold his bitcoin holdings at a very low price. He got tired and thought that it's the end of the market but he felt bad when he looked at the price of Bitcoin now. Don'tget tired, this is essential when big things are coming. Keep the faith and keep holding because the best is yet to come and we're on at the tip fo the iceberg and there is gonna be more from it.

I am here to give you company because I also had the some thoughts when I saw my portfolio few days ago. I started to think that maybe I made the wrong investments, but after talking to a genius member of this forum he spashy I hope I spelled the name right.
Well he started a very good topic which motivated me and from that topic I learned that at least we are still in the game and leaning and earning unlike future traders who are out of the market because they are rekt.

Am I alone here feeling this way or do I have a company?
Seeing you present in altcoinstalks since May 2018 is very long, I'm sure you have gone through various things that have happened to this altcoinstalks forum and all the drama in crypto, I think it's probably natural for you to feel tired in this crypto space.
In contrast to me personally who has just been present in altcoinstalks since 2024 and since 2024 I have also just known crypto, maybe right now I am still enthusiastic to continue learning about crypto but maybe I also don't know what the next 6 years will be like. Maybe I will also feel tired if I continue to be present every day in this crypto space.

is something common in life. There are times when someone feels that what is being done has reached its lowest point so that they are not interested in continuing what has been done. The same is true in crypto. It can happen and it is not impossible.
Like what you said about your friend who had let go of his bitcoin at a low price but finally saw the current reality. Of course, he really regretted it.
agree, keep the faith to remain steadfast in what is the main goal, so that when the time comes it can succeed well according to your wishes.

Many people don't know it is preferable to hold onto Bitcoin and believe that its price will recover but that's not the case with all altcoins. Some altcoins haven't reached the ATH they had last year, while Bitcoin has reached an ATH this year, aiming for a higher price this year.
Not everyone can really hold on strong as they watch the market experience price decrease without longing to take drastic action to sell off at once to avoid having further losses.
Someone who doesn't want to have further losses can decide to lay off their crypto assets to set their mind free from the thought of financial losses. It's all about choice anyway, to hold on strong on your crypto investment or not
