According to the question in the title, do you use Solana's network regularly?
or do you only have the coin with an exchange?
Or don't you have it, don't use it and are just curious about the coin and network?
I'm thinking of creating some threads about Solana network, but I'd like to know if the people here on the forum actually use it
-
I have a helium hotspot miner, it has a wallet app that uses Solana as the driver to taxicab coin. So I use Solana every day just a little bit.
-
i do have SOL but i'm not really using the network at all, thy are just in the exchange because this token is good to trade. it can dump hard and skyrocket higher as well that i can swing trade nicely to earn good.
I use to have BONK but sold already, there is nothing that i can actively use for SOL network. isnthere a project in SOL that we should be with to activy use the network?
-
I can say that I rarely use the Sol network, where I only use it when I follow airdrops, otherwise I only invest in Sol without doing anything and even then I put my Sol on the exchange
-
No, just trade
-
-
Or don't you have it, don't use it and are just curious about the coin and network?
-
I am not interested in using Solana coins as my asset for trading and I have never used Solana coins for various transactions.
The basic factor is that I don't have the money to buy Solana coins and maybe if I have money and the price of Solana coins happens to be Dump, maybe I will try to buy and hold Solana coins for the long term.
If the Solana Dump coin returns to a price of 30 dollars, maybe I will try to buy it for only 3 coins.

Not sure we ever drop
back to 30 maybe it drops 85-110

Of course i have been using solona network for a long time because it takes less fees than other blockchain platforms like ethereum. Solona blockchain is a very fast and sizeable platform that is used to create and establish different types of applications. Using a special process called the POS and POH. Through this process the solana can make thousands of transactions per second. Since SOL token is used for fast and safe transactions, Solana is considered a potential solution for future blockchain technology.

Sol is really very popular but I don't use it often. I only follow tokens in the Sol ecosystem to look for investment opportunities after missing out on SOL in 2022-2023.
I'm just a crypto investor, not a blockchain user, I focus on tokens instead of networks and gas. However, that doesn't mean I'm not part of the Sol community!
-
I wasn't thinking of investing in it but I might do it especially after the disappointing performance of Ethereum.
What threads are you planning to create?
-
Yes - but not every day.
No, Solana is in a private wallet.
Still have a few solanas, now that a lot of new DEXs have appeared it's a hunt for points.
Solana network is still crowded and currently still fast, so sometimes doing bridging from Base to SOL.
-
Thanks for the replies so far guys

What threads are you planning to create?
Depending on the responses I intend to create some threads to learn more about protocols within the Solana network, as this is a network that I have used constantly, and I see that most are still unaware of how many interesting things there are within the network
As the network is cheap to transact on, I think it's an excellent way to get started in DeFi, NFTs etc

I don't use solana network, besides investing and trading in solana based token what a trader can use Solana network for, I am not interested in launching my own memecoin their so what is other things we can do on Solana if you don't mind sharing ;D
I know the question make me dumb and normie but still if you want to share something then don't worry if we use it or not the discussion can generate more information for people like me.

According to the question in the title, do you use Solana's network regularly?
I am not a regular user, but I have used the Solana network a couple of times for some transactions.
Solana is also good to consider for research to invest in as someone looking for altcoins to consider.

I used very few times.
I chased some airdrops, and I converted them to solana using phantom wallet.
Now I still hold some SOL and I sometimes just use that wallet to receive or send some usdt...

Based on your experience as an expert in cryptocurrency coin mining, I am sure that the figure of 85-110 dollars will be a benchmark for me too if one day I want to buy Solana coins.
But can you provide more precise information from a technical perspective why the price of Solana coins can only drop to 85 dollars? What are the factors??
-
I do. I have some holdings in solana itself and few other solana based coins (PYTH, W), I am also fan of Tensor marketplace — best nft marketplace ever used.
-
I guess it depends on what topic you want to make. Some sections have low activity but you can make threads and try to bump them every now and then IMO. I do the same thing when I'm free so the forum I'm in still has some place for new discussions.
As for Solana, I stake all of my bags (not that much either) on a staking platform. I have no time to manually hunt for new airdrops or farm activity on bridging tokens for now so might as well let it get some passive income. My expectation is not that high considering my experience with staking though, but it's worth trying.
-
I think most of us will continue to use popular networks, and one of those popular networks is of course Solana.
Maybe what makes the difference is our intention in using it, it depends on the needs and also depends on the analysis we do. But there are also people who really like this network and this network is used as their main network. Of course each of us will be different.

You are an investor rather than an active user of the Solana blockchain, although you have at least some experience staking SOL on-chain instead of simply holding SOL on CEXs. Staking SOL used to be a common way to receive airdrops from new projects in the Solana ecosystem in 2023, but we haven't heard about similar events recently.
Perhaps the majority of Solana on-chain activity comes from the memecoins trend, especially after the success of BONK and TRUMP. I hope we will see more new trends join Solana bandwidth, helping to make the development of this ecosystem more sustainable.

SOL is a good platform to create, of course it mostly is known due to memes, but many tech viable decisions are being implemented on it in order to make the main chain better overall.
Something that others are struggling with usually.

Solana is the home of most memecoins. As I don't have memecoins, I don't use Solana often.
I do have some sol because I got some tokens in an airdrop, which i immediately swap to 1 sol. Easy money

Regarding the memes that are widely available on this network, people do like it because it is easy to create memes on this network. However, this is one of the reasons why sol is widely used by people.
If we look at its future, then sol is a coin with a very good future. In addition, the community in it is also very solid. A solid community is one of the factors that helps the success of a coin or network.

Thanks for the replies so far guys
You've already given me a good gauge of the content I can create to help you learn more about Solana's network beyond the basics, and far beyond memecoins
but you can keep posting

I have some SOL and sometimes use the Solana network, because currently, there are many exchanges, and almost all top exchanges provide the Solana network option for transfers or sending. So, if for example when checking the fee is quite low, then usually use that. Yes, between if not Solana then BSC network.
It's just that if say the most frequent, it's still the BSC network if it's between exchanges. But if on DEX, Solana network is more often. Yes, actually it's our own preference. Because both of them also have very affordable fees and are equally fast. Maybe it's just because of how they are used to it.
-
Yes OP, I use Solana network personally. I trade on DEX and Solana network is my top pick due to its strong community popularity and majorly it network's costs which is a lot cheaper in relation to say Ethereum and some of its layer2 chains. Please go ahead and create the thread for Solana, I believe this forum and its community of users has a lot of enthusiasm for Solana and its ecosystem.

- I only use the sol network once when there is a crypto under the sol blockchain that I see potential in the future, then I just let it hold using the phantom wallet.
Then I also have other altcoins that are held under the solana blockchain, like bonk and others, besides I also have some Solana holdings as well.
-
I read that many have SOL but have not used the SOL network as the main network when sending, especially on CEX. However, when it comes to trading or transactions or transfers of meme coins or hype coins that occur, especially on DEX, in fact, the Solana network is the one that is currently most often used. Yes, both Solana and BSC are actually very affordable and also fast transactions. Just check and recheck when you are going to make a transfer, which one is available and which one is cheaper.
-
I interact with the Solana ecosystem I trade memecoins there once in a while and also hold some tokens. I'd love to see your thread about the Solana ecosystem. Let's have it!
-
I wasn't thinking of investing in it but I might do it especially after the disappointing performance of Ethereum.
What threads are you planning to create?
I think having a sole is not bad, it often gives benefits from coin memes, but different people have different beliefs about certain coins.

1. No, I have never used the Solana network.
2. I have also never had Solana coins on the Exchange.
3. The reason I have never had Solana coins is that I don't need them at the moment.
If one day there is an event or project that requires using the Solana network, then I should immediately create a wallet from Solana coins.

I don't use Sonala network regularly I only use it when I need it for some reason. I have to withdraw stablecoins from the exchanger from time to time, but I always use the network free com of the chain. The transaction speed of SOLANA network is very good and if you make a transaction from a personal wallet, the fee is very low, but the withdrawal fee from the exchangers to the SOL chain is relatively high, so this chain is not used regularly.

Most exchanges are charging 1 USD to withdraw from Solana
Could be SOL, USDT or USDC
I don't know exactly why they are charging more than other networks that have the same fees
Other day I made an withdraw from ETH network on Kraken and paid 0.60 USD
I made another one, USDC in SOL's netowork and paid 1 USD
A reasonable fee is something like 0.50 USD in my opinion

Ithink withdrawal fees should just cover the costs. But that is not how it works in many exchanges... I have paid more than 10 usd por some bitcoin withdrawals in the past...
The cheapest withdrawals i have seen are ltc and xrp, basically free everywhere.

That's cheap. I'm not sure how much ETH withdrawal cost in exchanges that I used but I'm pretty sure most of them cost more than $1. A few weeks ago someone shared that to withdraw an ETH token they have to spend $25 for withdrawal alone. I guess the busy network affects that, but even in those scenarios withdrawing in Solana is usually much cheaper on the platform that I use.
I think it's impossible to expect less than $1 withdrawal tbh, especially when the network is busy. Layer-2 or whatever scaling solution that is available right now doesn't seem to handle this issue perfectly, not to mention exchanges process transaction in batches. CMIIW.

Using Solana network regularly? No it isn't regular. Maybe around once a week for some transactions only.
Have the coin with an exchange? Yes. I'm currently holding some SOL and it's on an exchange. I don't usually store some assets on an exchange, but I'm just holding it for spot trading so... yeah. :D
I only use Solana network for airdrops that are being launched on Solana Network. There are some airdrops that I participated where they require you to use Phantom wallet. Most of the airdrop that I'm participating are the ones that requires you to put some SOL on a liquidity pool to be eligible on the airdrop.

There are many possibilities to using some altcoins however most of the time people who buy solana especially for those that are into degen usually do so because of most of the meme coins being launched these days are usually on the solana network and as a result you would need to have some solana to be able to swap and trade them.
Probably because of transaction fees I don't frequently see people who transact regularly with solana like most people do with usdt or Bitcoin.

Solana is one of the coins or networks that I use, but I can't say it's regular, because in terms of regularity it means we use this network at a specified time.
I may use this network from time to time and also irregularly, sometimes more often in 1 week or vice versa, according to my needs, as well as other networks.

So do I, after knowing that Solana has very low transaction fees and its speed is also unquestionable, and there are already many platforms or exchanges that provide the Solana network, this is one that is quite often used besides BSC. So yes, its development and competition with BSC are that good. This means that Solana's movement and progress in the market are very fast and even its competition is very tight with BNB, especially regarding its market cap. And it seems that there is no major problem related to the use or issue of the Solana blockchain.

Well, I used Solana network in past for meme coin trading and I've lost some good amount of money with that. Meme coin trading is more like gambling than trading and that's why I personally don't recommend it. I also found that Solana network is a quite good and fast network with good fees.
-

But I have a little complaint about this solana, because sometimes if there is a hype on a coin that is on the solana network, especially a meme coin, it becomes problematic.
Yes, it's better now, but honestly that experience made me a little worried. Because when we want to make a transaction quickly and at the same time there is an obstacle, it is also a little inhibiting.

Do memes get the network too congested, though?

I have been using solana to withdrawal USDT from whale.io casino.
As it is a cheap way to withdrawal usd, every usdt i get in this casino i have been converting to solana. I didn't accumulate much yet, just a few bucks

You could say that, because we know when a meme is hype, the hype will be extraordinary. But this is just my personal opinion based on my experience.
It is possible that there are other things too. But I really believe the team has made everything even better. This is more important, when there is a problem the team acts quickly, it can also maintain trust.

I got you, I just never heard about such cases regarding the congestion.
Especially after the talks of their new validator client being in development, or maybe in a different stage now. Firedancer was its name, I reckon.

Actually if you observe the transition of the meme coin ecosystem you will come to notice that meme coins moved very quickly from using the ethereum network as an anchor to making use of the solana network. There is a gist about scalability but I believe it's mostly because of fees.
As of the amount exchanges charge , it's quite obvious that they add their own percentage to the normal network fees and some use bigger fees for faster confirmation.

Solana network have faster for transaction than other network, with lower fees transaction make Solana keep popular right now for launching many new meme coins.
Each exchange they have own rule or regulation about fees transaction when withdrawing Solana coin, I think each exchange have difference fees when withdrawing Solana than from DEX or Solana wallet with most cheapest fees.
Yesterday I withdraw USDT trough Solana network and spent $1 for fees withdrawing, maybe withdraw at Solana wallet its self just take few cent only of SOL coins and cheapest fees than withdrawing from exchange market.
-

The solana network on a general basis actually has relatively smaller fees than most other network especially the ethereum network. Like I said earlier on, when the ethereum network was still very new most coins and tokens used it as a base network until other other alternatives like Solana became more popular.
Ethereum fees are way high compared to even the Tron network. Sending some usdt for example on the tron network costs around $1 for fees, unlike the Ethereum network that requires over $5.

Solana is a big platform in this Cryptocurreny, as an active Airdrop hunter I definitely use this network. Many Airdrops are growing on this platform, of course people who are involved in the Airdrop world will use it. This is a fast, low-cost and smooth network. But indeed, in some cases about the slowness of this network. And I think that's natural, because too many people are entering this network.

The speed Solana can offer is around 65k tps, including internal network activities. If we're being precise, it's only about 800 tps, meaning all users can only conduct 800 transactions simultaneously. That's why Solana can experience temporary overload at certain times. Luckily, we haven't had to endure any more outages on Solana for a long time now ^^
Many new teams are choosing Solana to launch projects to take advantage of the Solana ecosystem vibrancy, the huge user base, and the extremely low transaction fees. I haven't participated in bounty campaigns and airdrops for a long time, so I don't pursue any new projects. I only focus on the Solana network, the SOL price chart, and a few DEXs in this ecosystem.

Buddy, memecoin traders use the SOL network, and more people who hunt the airdrops and do farming in this industry also use the SOL and some other networks regularly.
What kind of threads are you interested in making on the SOL network? I'm curious about whether we can discuss anything on the same thread as well as if they belong to the same section.

- I don't use the solana network often, though I have other coins under the sol network. Maybe I'll only use it when I know I have enough profit from my other holdings under the sol network. Then I'm also doing some dca on SOL so far.
I also use other networks sometimes because I also have coins that I'm saving like the TON network, Bsc, EVM, and others that I think also have potential in the future.

Actually, I think that Solana network is very faster than others network. We also know that Solana is one of the best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency market. I think gradually Solana price will increase in very well position. But if we follow in cryptocurrency market we can see that Solana when bitcoin or cryptocurrency market were down, then Solana price will be down. But when cryptocurrency market will be high then Solana price also be high. So I believe that in future Solana network will be more improve and Solana price will reach best position in cryptocurrency market.
