Title: NFTs vs. Tokenized IP: Which is the Better Investment Opportunity?
Post by: Akinwale Akinkunmi on February 11, 2025, 01:30:48 PM
Considering the current state of NFTs, it's clear that the hype has died down. Web3 has taken center stage, leaving many to wonder if it will suffer the same fate as NFTs. However, amidst the shifting landscape, tokenization has remained a constant. Even those who initially dismissed the idea are now embracing it, indicating its staying power as long as cryptocurrency exists.

In my opinion, the best alternative to NFTs is investing in projects focused on blockchain-based tokenization and management of intellectual property (IP) assets. These projects offer comprehensive coverage of the benefits that made NFTs appealing, with the added security of blockchain technology.

Examples of such projects include $ADA,  $AVT, and the newcomer $IP that is getting listed soon. I strongly advise conducting thorough research (DYOR) and reviewing their whitepapers to assess their potential. Do you think this is a better alternative?

Tbh for the last few months I haven't particularly been interested in nfts, metaverse etc. The hype has really died down, by strategy is to get into projects with a solid background and a considerable amount of stakeholders. You mentioned IP, participated in the airdrop and got some few weeks ago, now i leveraged this community initiative to try and get more

Despite the recent market meltdown IP stood strong, that's the kinda project I'm bidding on

Do you think this is a better alternative?

Only time can tell if an alternative will hold on and even become the main focus of the market. There is no question that NFTs are losing the interest of the investors but I think if there will be more innovations putting more features to it there can be some resurgence of some sort. NFTs can be incorporate in different projects and if there will be embedded incentives of owning them then maybe investors can be back into its side. Now, the interest with tokenization is increasing including the expanding RWA market and one that you mentioned here which is tokenized IP. This is the one gaining some good level of traction in the market and if one is keen observer and not risk averse this is something worth looking at.

You are right i believe if there is another better strategy i believe NFT will actually do well again and rise at the end of the day
