Title: Valentine is here. How's it for a crypto enthusiast or newbie.
Post by: DegenLifestyle on February 13, 2025, 05:02:43 AM
It’s 24 hours to Valentine’s Day, and as a crypto enthusiast, I’m happy that the market is green. Last year, I participated in some Valentine’s events and won myself some USDT and even a bottle of wine.

This year, I’m in the same spirit. Since none of my trading orders have been executed yet, I’ll be looking forward to doing the same all over again.

Anyway, how would you spend your Valentine’s Day as a trader or Web3 enthusiast?

Last year, I participated in some Valentine’s events and won myself some USDT and even a bottle of wine.
That's great to hear. What event is this? Is this an online event? Knowing there's a bottle of wine as a prize, I guess it's an in-person event. I wonder if there are some crypto Valentine event now, I can't seem an updated for these kinds of events.

There is no budget from my crypto income for the valentine. I have been married for years now and have always proved to my wife of how much I love her so we literally don't see this event that precious as being circulated globally.

As in connection to my investment plans, I have been able to buy more values of bitcoin within the period and added to my holding since bitcoin price has recently been struggling to recover.

And I am hoping for a more chances for me to buy more and hodl.
What am I saying? While others are being thrilled with the valentine event and selling of their bitcoin as it course, I am busy mapping on how to buy them if cheapy to increase my portfolio.

Investment chances waits for no nobody but valentine would always come at every year.

The only Valentine's Day related events with crypto or in crypto world I have found on gambling platforms. Exchanges seems to ignore that event, while previous years I think Binance were giving some vouchers and had funny questionnaire.

I don't understand why exchanges seem to be ignoring using the power of February 14 to attract more attention and activities...can it be that crypto traders, investors and users are not inclined to connect this special day to the industry? Anyway, good to see some promotions coming from gambling related sites...am sure lonely people who got no date can instead find solace with betting money and winning some more money...or also to lose more money while the whole world are celebrating the Love Day. As for me, I am just drinking coffee as this day is not actually special to me nor to my family.

I don't remember any crypto platform offer events specifically for the valentine's day? Perhaps you can name the platform..

It's just another day for me, the special days are only for young age people I guess.

+1 karma OP. I have also attended a couple of crypto seminars for some new projects as at about late periods of last year and they were quite interesting especially when it came to blockchain quizzes nevertheless I haven't attended any this year.

Yes you do have a point most exchanges don't have some sort of valentine packages for their users probably they don't fancy it or find any suitable theme to tag such an event. Anyways I notice it can be some times difficult to get bonuses from some exchanges because of the requirements they usually give.

Nothing special and should be planned for Valentine's Day as a trader, just trade as usual.
Maybe some discounts will be obtained or free chocolates and such, but I don't have any plans, just like a normal day.

But for those who have a partner and are still lulled by the beauty of togetherness, then start organizing a good event and closing the trade for Valentine's Day, it's even better.

Yeah it was an offline event. A crypto community I belonged to just wanted to have fun ahahah.. yeah I believe there's some. Someone shared it here already. Mycruptoqueen, I believe you can search for the tag on X and vote to win some USD. I voted for ETH though.. market is also good today. Did you see what CZ pulled in terms of memecoins??

It's regular day for me but I assume for traders there would be events from the exchanges, and similarly some web3 wallets may have events as well.

This year Valentine seems to be quiet compared to the previous years or is it only me noticing it? The crypto community seems not to be talking much about it unlike before when crypto organizations do roll out events and activities to mark the Valentine's Day celebration amongst their community and the general public at large. So far, I have seen but a few casinos doing some activities but have not seen much of exchange activities as it relates to the valentines day celebration.

As for your question, I will be at the best of it as usual with my family spending time with them today as it is valentines day. Drinks and some gifts for each and making sure we all have fun as the day goes. Maybe a crypto gift could do just better for the surprise I have for my family.

Idk if its because i just casually open any crypto media news outlet or any similar platforms for such events but i rarely saw such contest, events, meetups related to crypto when it comes to valentines or similar international events 😅

Valentine day is one of love, both sharing and receiving it. I did not do too much work or crypto stuff, i just spent it with loved ones and family, i know that is how so many people also spent their day. I hope our portfolios grow so much this year and we have much more to celebrate later.

Of course, casinos did roll out Valentine's Day bonuses for members to participate in but we all know it comes with requirements that must be fulfilled before one could withdraw the benefits from it. Maybe that is the reason why it wasn't much talked about because casinos do not do such a bonus thing for free. As for meetups and other activities, I believe enthusiasts do hold that because yesterday, I was with my crypto friends and we had a little talk on crypto developments and other conversations as they relate to other activities as well, we had fun and lots more.

Can you blame them, they are obviously running a business, so even when they give bonuses, they have to find a way to use it to attract more customers or to reward existing good customers.

I don't mind meeting my close crypto friends to discuss about crypto, but strangers? Nope.

In which event you participate and on which platform. I never participated in such events and did not won from the events that I joined it is the luck though. I don't drink so Wine is of no use to me and if it's wine I can assume it might be a person to person event where you won this right.

I don't spend valentines days because it is supposed to be celebrated with your wives or girls but I don't have any  :P therefore I am not doing anything except watching movies or sleeping and doing my work  ;)

Valentine's Day may seem like a special day to every one of us, but in the crypto space, does the day matter, or do we see a change in the market?

I haven't heard of any crypto exchange or coins giving out bonuses in regards to a day like this "Valentine" for their community members to be thankful for.

There is nothing special about Valentine in this crypto space because I haven't gotten anything from this crypto, I also missed the Coinomize event with the theme To The Moon yesterday because my work in the real world is very busy.
Maybe next time Valentine next year I will get a unique gift. But luckily in my job in the real world, I got a little door prize from my boss as a reminder that the 14th is Valentine's Day, just be grateful and live life casually.

Nothing special in that day. Just dping appauan as usual and it went pretty well. Indeed, sometimes there are some events and also various promos available, so just take advantage of that, but not specific enough.

And the important thing is when I see the market is going green compared to the previous days, that's what makes me feel much happier. yes even though now everything is still changing and there are some that have high fluctuations.

Nice you can participants at Valentine events and congrats you can be the winner, but I don't get any valentine event in cryptocurrency such as trading competition or predicting with bitcoin price with higher reward distributed for participants. Usually have some exchange market will make trading competition reward at valentine day moment but in Binance looks still not yet have event and wish other coins project will make event during this valentine only each one year.
by the way, how much reward you won when participants at Valentine day event? did you earn above 20$ to $100 each event winner or have higher reward?

For security reasons, it is not advisable to meet with strangers you have not had contact with before to discuss sensitive matters such as cryptocurrency, it puts you at a very high risk because you do not know who is who in the meeting but if it is your close friends you have been with for long and you've known them for long, you are sure of your safety because they would not want to do anything to harm you. If not that humans can change, it would have been better to avoid such but festive periods ought to be celebrated with friends and family members.

As for casinos, they can go to any extent to entice gamblers to patronize them without minding what the outcome would look like because they already know the odds are always in favor of the house so that does not bother them besides, they are a profit-making organization which needs funds for running and maintenance cost.

That's better, when the price goes green and bullish that's what matters.
Valentine's Day or any day if the market is bearish and not vibrant then there is nothing special in crypto.

Price fluctuations are common, but if the market tends to go down and there is more correction needed, then it is only necessary to wait and buy at a lower price.

Valentine's Day is not a special day in crypto, it is just a day like it can be.

Yes, because the market conditions are still like this, so I don't dare to do trading or anything, so I just monitor it, fortunately I don't need a lot of money for urgent needs so it's safe to keep holding assets. Moreover, there are some FUDs or news that are quite worrying, predictions from some people that might make the BTC price fall even deeper. but I personally still believe that BTC can still go up and can go up to a new ATH again.

it is just wild speculation that is indeed made to manipulate the price of the crypto market including Bitcoin.
We know this is a game that whales play quite often to get a cheaper entry price.

Bitcoin will certainly still rise to the new ATH price again and I am preparing to welcome the moment by filling my bag.

3+ years in crypto and I was not aware of such events on Valentine days as I just passed this day by doing work and watching reels of other couples haha happy for them and when the time comes I will be happy too haha.

Well, even I don't see big commercials of such events from CEXs too if there is any I might have give it a try but unlike CEXs the games I play (online) wish me Valentine day haha.

Yes bear, there are many speculations out there. and that often makes us feel more panicked with the various FUDs. and that is what whales take advantage of to profit from our panic. and it's just right this time the crypto market that just went up, dropped again, because there was indeed a hack issue that caused the crypto price to immediately collapse.

The crypto market this time seems to be well controlled and manipulated by whales, when the price of Bitcoin will touch the price of $100k again suddenly the news of the Bybit hack appeared and made the price drop again quite drastically.
It is the biggest hack ever and certainly an ugly value for the crypto world.

But hopefully this will be the last FUD that happens and then continue the delayed Bull Run.

Valentine's Day is not always a day full of affection, in crypto anything can happen very easily.
