I've studied some of the 575 posts Satoshi made on Bitcointalk forum. Satoshi's used international English and GB British English so is Satoshi more than one person living in different countries? It's a mystery that's not going to be solved soon but here's some of Satoshi's words that I've picked up on
criticised/criticized
serialisation/serialization
optimised/optimized
optimisation/optimization

I came to agree with Gavin about whitelisting when I realized how quickly new transaction types can be added.

I know I've been criticized for being reluctant about listtransactions. Let me explain my reluctance

The reason I didn't use protocol buffers or boost serialization is because they looked too complex to make absolutely airtight and secure. Their code is too large to read and be sure that there's no way to form an input that would do something unexpected.
I hate reinventing the wheel and only resorted to writing my own serialization routines reluctantly. The serialization format we have is as dead simple and flat as possible. There is no extra freedom in the way the input stream is formed. At each point, the next field in the data structure is expected. The only choices given are those that the receiver is expecting. There is versioning so upgrades are possible.
CAddress is about the only object with significant reserved space in it. (about 7 bytes for flags and 12 bytes for possible future IPv6 expansion)
The larger things we have like blocks and transactions can't be optimized much more for size. The bulk of their data is hashes and keys and signatures, which are uncompressible. The serialization overhead is very small, usually 1 byte for size fields.

Changes:
- Fixed a wallet.dat compatibility problem if you downgraded from 0.3.17 and then upgraded again
- IsStandard() check to only include known transaction types in blocks
- Jgarzik's optimisation to speed up the initial block download a little
There's been theories which aren't easy to believe like Jack Dorsey & others being Satoshi. I can't believe them. Do you believe Satoshi was a pseudonym used by more than one person that's why there's differences in written English ?
Note: This topic on Altcoinstalks is almost identical to a topic I made on bitcointalk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5348758.0). I'm posting it in altcoinstalks to have discussions & chats. This note's made because there isn't plagiarism.

There have been many debates and articles after satoshi left bitcoin became the top cryptocurrency in the market. Basically most of the articles that have read on different websites and from different sources all have similar suggestions that satoshi is not a singular person rather it's more like a group.
One common thing is that they all seemed to have that particular notion based on the fact that in the ideal sense bitcoins base code is too complex for a single person to be able to manage.
-
OP: If you are going to "study" Satoshi Nakamoto, that's fine, you can learn a lot of things, but wanting to know who Satoshi Nakamoto is is a very different thing.
The first option will help you a lot depending on how you understand it.
The second option won't get you anywhere, and if you do get it, say Hello.
In the sense of studying Satoshi, you should not only go to his posts on the forum, there is much more, including going to the way bitcoin was coded, its architecture, etc.
Lucky.

I am not really wondering why the "cultish" study on Satoshi Nakamoto continues up to this day and maybe even into the future as we would love to uncover the details of this man or if the name is actually more of a group name rather than a specific pseudo-name of a person. Satoshi Nakamoto has now been a big mystery that is worth to uncover by looking at the traces he left and I am sure that as long as the man will not surface or that nobody can prove that he can be gone six feet belong the ground, there will be more ideas and opinions on him for as long as maybe Bitcoin is still alive. I am not actually anymore a big fan as to the man's whereabouts but am just amazed at the things that people can uncover on him and theorize from there on. Do we have like a Satoshi Nakamoto Club existing somewhere...or maybe a museum on everything related to the man?

or maybe he is not a native english speaker and only learned how to speak english from different sources hence the inconsistency because in my country we do speak a lot of english but some may use british or the american spellings of english

possibly. who knows? no matter what i think it really would not change a lot of things satoshi still wouldn’t reappear
though i can tell you this much, an identity is harder to hide if there’s a lot of you so i still think that satoshi is just one person
-
What conclusion can you provide with this details?
Satoshi not using the local English and using international English means he is not a US citizen if that is the case. He is aware of the danger he is in which means he must have been exposed to politics besides cryptography.
Nothing can be confirmed even with all the details we get from his posts. But how sooner do you think the authorities figured who Satoshi is since the time he released Bitcoin?

Speculations about Satoshi - my favorite dish to keep me going knowing people would still try to unravel such a mystery that doesn't need to be solved in the end ;)
-
I also heard stories about Satoshi Nakamoto being part of a project for the secret intelligence and the reason they created Bitcoin is to use it for funding purposes on whatever operations they have internationally. So if they do this worldwide meaning members could be foreigners and locals of a specific country maybe that is the reason why spellings can be different because one, Satoshi could be a foreigner not a native english speaker and two, it is a diversional tactics so that no one will ever sniff their traces since that rumor seems to be a military thing.
Whoever Satoshi Nakamoto is/are I am very thankful to him/them because I came across Bitcoin and I am part of this industry and community.
-
The authorities didn't figure it out or else we would've been told. It's shrouded in mystery we can't work out who Satoshi is.

Did you really read all those posts of him? That's very brave because it would require a lot of time and efforts to sum the discussion even and finding these points. I don't know about british accent or the use of letters American or British Enligh speakers uses but that should not indicate where he is from because he can be a Chinese person.
Anyone can change their way to writing words he is not a dumb to just show his identity like that by writing these letters these must be on purpose and to be honest no one actually keep that much attention to their posts even I sometimes forgot what I wrote in my 2 year old post.
-
We got one more aspect to speculate about, what if he is not a native English speaker at all? The name Satoshi itself has the origin of Japan so what if he is Japanese?
Well, it doesn't change any of the fact, he gave what he wished and moved on. We don't know what he is doing or even alive but let's hope he is enjoying all the hope he created for the human kind from the control and censorship.
-
I've read Satoshi's posts when I was newbie in bitcointalk forum & started a thread about them.

I prefer another possibility, namely that the satoshi account holder is not just one person... so all this time calling satoshi does not mean referring to one individual, it could also refer to a certain group or group that calls it satoshi.... yes, a project like Bitcoin really needs a strong team to be able to become what it is today.. even the team members may still be moving in the shadows to make Bitcoin even more famous...
Relying too much on one person is certainly not a good thing, so making it like a group of people would make more sense so that Bitcoin can last longer.

It's great to keep his legacy intact and read about it too.
You did a good job!

It isn't another possibility it's the same I'm writing about. Satoshi doesn't refer to one individual Satoshi's a group.

Yeah, whether satoshi Nakamoto uses British or American English or other languages related to English, I don't think we have anything to worry about.
You see, Satoshi Nakamoto has done a brilliant job, though his identity is still unknown, but his work has given many of us great opportunity to be financially free. He may be a foreigner, just like the name sound, like a Japanese, but whether American or British, it is clear that he/she, or group person is yet to be known.
For me, I don't think that his identity is necessary even as Bitcoin has becomes so popular, it may be a distraction in my opinion
-
I don't think the difference in language Satoshi wrote in between International English and British English in the UK would be enough reason to believe that he is more than one person.
If Satoshi is more than one person, they will most likely be from several countries and different languages, not just English. Also, if Satoshi is more than one person, they will most likely choose only one of them to write on the Bitcoin Talk forum. I don't think that more than one person writes on the same account, so I don't think the difference in language would be reason enough to believe that there is more than one Satoshi.

I can't agree more with you on this because the words he is using can also be written on purpose like in local english to make it look like US or not he is a smart person with cryptography knowledge and we are expecting a mistake like this from him not digestable.
Authorites might know who satoshi is and where he lives as he did not did anything wrong so maybe that's why we are not hearing much about from the authorities maybe Satoshi is some dude from authorities who knows how to lay low haha.

You're wrong because Satoshi's used GB English & international English. There isn't enough evidence to say Satoshi's US citizen or not.

BTC is holding itself with or without Satoshi, however, it's a still a mystery to unravel eventually.
And it will spike news up once in a while, just purely due to how interested people are.

I don't think authorities will ever tell us they have already got Satoshi or they have figured who he is. They have have even murdered him and bury Satoshi somewhere and took all his files and all his keys to his BTC already.
Lets say a month later after he release Bitcoin back in 2009, the authorities had already taken him tracking him from the soureforge forum and who he talked during that time. This would mean the authorities are just playing us and just let BTC mature.

The only problem with that is why Satoshi's wallet is still intact and funds never been moved for a long time if it was compromised. But if they got Satoshi it could be that he might not tell anything to anyone even if it means death to him.

Yeah, they could have moved the BTC (before the value shoot up) to a wallet the Feds completely control and not risk the chance of someone else (close to Satoshi) doing it.
Maybe authorities knew him already but couldn't go after his wealth because he has not done anything illegal. No case to be thrown at the man.

It won't go away. Once in a while it's going to be in the news.

If they had him they wouldn't tell us but ppl from inside would've leaked info by now. It's a mystery. Satoshi didn't commit a crime so they shouldn't have been after him.

I don't know what the authorities knew about Satoshi.
I'm just thinking that Satoshi might want to misled those who are tracking him down.
Sort of trying to lose them along the way and so he uses GB British English and International English. And not only that, even the timezone is very different and it's not that consistent if you look at the time of his post in the other community.
-
It's great to keep his legacy intact and read about it too.
You did a good job!
Indeed it is a great job but it was really difficult it takes a lot of time as I said. But glad that he read and we all should give it a try I also read many posts of him but OP has just set the record I think.
I have read the same topic on Bitcointalk and my thoughts were the same, we should not look for Satoshi as it does not matter who he is, the thing that matter is the adoption and regulations of crypto.
-
People can just be so funny in making diggings on situations that less be of concern to them, I don't think it's important now for us to begin to work on which English did Satoshi used , this doesn't change anything about the network or the acceptance and opportunities it gives, what the white paper gives should be the best interpretation we could use from our own language including English, he has his full right of using any English accent for his write ups.
-
I like the post you've made because ppl aren't talking about the info Satoshi's posts had. They're a lesson to look back & learn from bitcoin's history. Who's better teaching about crypto than Satoshi ?

None of us actually know that Satoshi was a single person or a group behind a pseudo name Satoshi Nakamoto but most of the community still believes that Satoshi was a single person and Satoshi was a male in gender but no body actually tells anything about him as there's not enough information about Satoshi available anywhere. If Satoshi was a group then there will raise many questions regarding the Bitcoin that are in Satoshi's wallets.

I do not know that he or she or it would be leaked to-the public. Personally I think it is a group of people not one person.
-

It may be true too.
Though I would prefer it to be only one person, being the big ol' mind behind it all 8)
-
That's more likely because of the work they've done to get Bitcoin started.

You made a good point if we want to learn what Bitcoin is and why it was needed and what was the motive behind it's creation we should read what was the thoughts of Satoshi about it and for that we should read his posts not all if we can't but follow his topics.
This is actually a good idea from now on I will add this information in sight of every newbie who want to learn and earn from BTC.
-
Thanks it's important to read Satoshi's posts because analysis tells variations in the words & spellings. It adds to Satoshi's mystery but it's part of bitcoin's history so shouldn't be ignored.

If I would read satoshi's posts I will not be reading to find the variations in the words or spellings so that I could find out from where he can be because for me that does not matter. If I will be reading his posts that will purely for to get more idea about his opinion about Bitcoin and all that decentralization which we could even get by reading the whitepaper too.
But reading his posts would be more fun.
-
Most investors aren't interested in Satoshi's posts or bitcoin's whitepaper. If ppl read Satoshi's work it's going to assist learning but they're using crypto to make money they don't care about any thing else. Making sig posts & small trades keeps most ppl here.

You are right even I can sure that most of the people involved in BTC or even BTC mining have not read the BTC whitepaper completely yet, they know some of the words by reading some posts on social media, but I can bet most of them have not dedicated their time to learn it because it will not bring them any money.
You make good point that making sig posts is the main thing or one of the main factors which is keeping these people engaged here and that can be wrong too to say because some people really give importance to all these postings because it have become their hobby even in start it was not, so in their free times they don't scroll they spend their time here reading and exploring.

They wouldn't understand the whitepaper if they found it. Investors don't care about bitcoin's white paper or other cryptos. They're interested in profit they don't care about p2p money or banking they've seen bitcoin rise so they've taken a chance to invest.

If it wasn't the opportunity to advertise their service or join sig campaigns get who'd post here or bitocointalk ?
