after bitcoin’s and ethereum’s etf approval, many started to speculate which could be the next coins to be approved of etfs nothing came for a while until trump finally went back to office and now sec is acknowledging institutions interested in launching crypto etfs
particularly litecoin from coinshares (https://www.investmentnews.com/alternatives/whats-next-for-crypto-etfs-litecoin-xrp-solana-and-dogecoin/259384) and xrp from wisdomtree (https://crypto.news/sec-opens-feedback-period-for-wisdomtree-xrp-etf/) i am fairly confident that these will be approved in next few months but which coins could possibly get an approval from the sec do you think? and what are the implications of more and more crypto etfs both to crypto community and the general public?
-
Xrp could be the coin to get it faster because it has been trending in the mainstream of recent. The implications of it is a big surge in the cryptocurrency market and it could be a stepping stone to the altcoins season that we have anticipated for long.

Let's talk about XRP ETF after the appeal (before Gensler stepped down) is completely thrown out. As it appears, the legal battle continues for Ripple despite the leadership change/s in SEC. Once that is settled in RL's favor, then yeah they could be the next one to be approved.
-
I am more inclined to believe that the next ETF to be approved by SEC will be that of XRP and this can be followed by Litecoin, Solana and who knows even an ETF for more established memecoins. With momentum on its side, XRP seems to be gaining the upper hand in this race though of course it is hard to speculate what can be the next move to be granted by SEC and its new chairman. The implication is that there is now a wider, deeper and more legitimate recognition of cryptocurrency in the usual financial sector after many years of being viewed like just another scams in the market. With many ETFs to be approved, investors will now have many choices on which coins to push their capital to...and of course this can mean more opportunities to gain more wealth.

Based on the video that I watched a few days ago, these are the top 4 possible altcoins that might have an ETF this year.
1. Litecoin
2. HBAR
3. XRP
4. Solana
That's in particular order, and suprisingly, XRP and SOL are at the bottom in terms of priorities, and an altcoin like HBAR is at the top. Apparently, HBAR is being considered as a security that's why it's on the top (correct me on this one if I'm wrong). XRP and SOL are at the bottom because of their pending case with SEC. Litecoin is... I guess expected since it's called Bitcoin 2.0. Gold to Silver whereas Bitcoin to Litecoin... or at least that's what others think about it.

I think that right after these Spot ETFs are approved, GrayScale customers will sell and create negative effects on token price in the market. This is what happened with BTC & ETH in 2024, I hope this will not be too harsh for these ALTs.
My expectation is that the approval of ALTs Spot ETF will be able to promote the price increase of the token, then activate the altseason this year. The crypto market is going through a boring period with the sideways movement of BTC, the market needs a big enough event to continue to grow stronger instead of collapsing and going into the crypto winter.

XRP seem to be the first if its not SOL. i think SOL ETF was already filed months ago where large institutions are already filing along with them. but because XRP is very popular when it comes to retail investors, XRP has an army of shillers.
i'm not sure about LTC but most probably SOL and XRP is my bet. its just waiting for approval. there are few more investment companies that will file ETFs to crypto maybe DOGE will catch up.
-
I heard a lot of news about ETFs that will be approved soon, I expect LTC, XRP, SOL to be on top of this list because they are strong coins.
I also heard that meme coin ETFs like Doge and Shiba Inu might be approved as I heard, although I don't like meme coins but these coins have a strong presence in the market.
I hope that the approval of a new altcoin ETF will be in the interest of the market and the entry of large companies which will help in bringing in new liquidity and improving the market situation in general.

But with Trump's sitting, there could he high chance for them to get the ETF because Trump's administration is supposedly friendly to crypto. So I think it will be settled in the next couple of months and then once approved it could trigger a avalanche of ETF's as well and this could be the start of the altcoin bull run that we all have been waiting.
-
Yeah, the possibility of more ETF is almost certain, it is a significant effect of the US new regime lead by president Donald Trump, the most crypto friendly president. I think from several news making rounds the crypto space, we may see Solana, XRP, Litecoin and others in near future.
However, Litecoin is currently pushing hard to get the SEC approval but XRP may come before the other ETF applications.
Generally speaking, we may expect more ETF applications, even meme coin ETF registrations was the new few weeks ago, however there could be more ETF, and SEC approvals before the end of Donald Trump's regime.

litecoin has always been in the talks for being the next one to have an etf i have seen many people speculate on it after ethereum got its etf approval but you are right that xrp is the one currently trending
those who held on to xrp were right after all i have seen many people get laughed at for still holding xrp but they might be winning now lol

Litcoin is a commodity and the chances for ETF approval are higher in compared to Sol because Sol is a security and once CFTC declares Sol a commodity the chances for its etf approval will also increase. therefore I was bullish on the approval of Litcoin from the very start but that's not the point.
The point is will litecoin pump if its etf got approved I don't think so but if etf of XRP got approved it might pump but still the ETH did not showed any huge pumps when its etf got approved. So I think we might not see much positive reactions from any further ETF listings. What do you think?

Yeah, high chance that the case would be completely drop but, until then, I would not put XRP on top of the list of next coin to be approved. I cannot imagine SEC giving the approval while simultaneously prosecuting Ripple.
About the altcoin run, maybe it will be concentrated to the approved coins only. There might be money to spill over to others with pending approval.

A lot of people are waiting for altcoin season and they believe that some approval for altcoin spot etf's might spark that, i am not so sure about that, maybe for just the coin that was approved. Many members are saying xrp is next, but i believe they still have to settle their case with the sec first. I don't have any predictions on possible approvals, so i will just wait and see.

In recent news, SEC is reviewing the ETF application for Solana so there is more chance actually for SOL to get on the line after Bitcoin and Ethereum. You can be right though that any approval for altcoin ETF will not actually trigger the dreamed by many altseason to happen. Right now, we are in the deep red after Bybit got hacked and though am still hopeful we don't know when things will be back in action near the ATHs they achieved. As the crypto market seems to be inviting the BEAR to come let's hope that another ETF approval can slow down its coming and extend the mini bull run started in 2024.

this hacking of bybit could have temporarily altered the movement of altcoins etf because surely it wouldn’t be such a good idea to release approvals of etf immediately after what probably the biggest crypto hack of all time regardless that it’s ethereum that has been stolen (which alr has an etf of its own)
thankfully i have not seen a lot of narratives where crypto is unsafe just because one exchange got hacked

LTC and XRP are still worthy, memecoins other than DOGE should not be.. if only some meme coins or coins with small liquidity and very crazy price fluctuations are able to enter the ETF, it confirms that the regulations implemented by the SEC are now starting to loosen, that means there will be thousands of coins that will be listed on the ETF if only unstable meme coins are successfully approved by the SEC...
XRP might be the first, regarding its current position which is quite good in the US government, it makes all its efforts easier to develop... then for LTC, it is a pretty good coin and has survived for a long time... it is proven that it is a fairly stable coin and deserves to be approved by the SEC..
