Interest on Bitcoin have grown beyond the people who prefer interacting using their computers from home. With the coworking space, enthusiasts and entrepreneurs could talk physically about projects they could do while incorporating Bitcoin. I'm also guessing the purpose of the hub is not limited to the development of the network.

There is nothing to do with this news...this is just a manifestation of people's interest with Bitcoin and encouraging those interested with it to work and collaborate with each other in an environment that is very much conducive for that purpose. This is not a news that can move the market of Bitcoin up or down but this can be helping more people to get exposed to Bitcoin and maybe educate others on its many features and aspects with the purpose of coming up with something innovative and useful for the market today and into the future. Let's hope this facility can be making some money and be sustainable so it won't close due to poor revenue or lack of interest from prospective users.

it is good that bitcoin is big enough to warrant a public place like this but i am quite confused at the real purpose of this place what does focusing on bitcoin actually means? are they miners? traders? speculators? are they developers? i hope there is more information about this because without concrete purpose this only seems like a hang out place for bitcoin enthusiasts which there is nothing wrong about but why would we promote this a place for collaboration and focus driven if it just a hang out place?

There is no need to hype BTC but seems like they want to. Silicon Valley though is a good place to start looking for partners to collaborate with, if they can find some tech companies wanting to integrate BTC in their products I guess this official place dedicated entirely to Bitcoin in San Francisco is a good place to set up arrangements.

And it could be a good place to meet with whales having an inside information.

It might have been considered positive news 10 or 12 years ago, but most young people have heard of Bitcoin at least once, and therefore it will find popularity, especially among computer-related communities, so I am surprised that the idea was not implemented a while ago.

Also it's not magical like in 2000s, big corporates and tech giants are dominating the region so it made people to lose trust also they didn't come up with any ground breaking innovations in recent years. Not even anything related AI is coming from there, isn't?

I did quick search about this "Presidio Bitcoin", but i couldn't find their website or social media. Although i found article which mention their abundant facility[1] and sponsorship with relative big company[2]. So while i agree with OP that their exact goal is ambiguous, they seem to be serious about this place.

This reminds me of a co-working space on an island near where I live. They market themselves as a crypto/Bitcoin-focused co-working space for businesses and communities but I don't think they get enough traction to be mainstream. Last time I checked there's only one online review and photo from a few years ago. They didn't share what business used their place either after that. Whether that happened because their marketing is terrible or they already run out of money is unclear.

You are right this is a better place for different fields of people to collaborate together to make something more unique and new. Sharing ideas always bring more better products in the market and the existing ones has to compete with them to get users.

Point is this is just another step towards the adoption of crypto as things will be more easy for many noob developers too. Hopefully btc devs will be there too to colloborate.

Regardless of what they plan, Silicon Valley is home to many of the world’s leading technology companies, so it’s good news that the first coworking space dedicated solely to Bitcoin has opened in Silicon Valley.

I think this will be of interest to the world’s leading global companies, and having this space there for Bitcoin will certainly encourage them to learn more about Bitcoin and perhaps invest in and develop it in the future. So I think this is good news.

This office space appears a bit over-the-top. It reminds me of WeWork's fancy colocation spaces. Not saying that WeWork's fate is going to befall them (that was their hipster founder-CEO's fault) but why would you want to make office space only for Bitcoin companies? I feel as though this will decrease revenue for them by a significant amount.
