Title: Part time job or Full-time job
Post by: Sim_card on March 02, 2025, 10:38:49 AM
As the topic says. Do you like a part time job or a full time job. I know that full-time job pays higher than a part-time job, but at the same time it consumes your time. You will have very little time to yourself and your family. Which one do you prefer, a part time job or a full time job, and give your reasons.

For me, I want a full-time job because it gives me a stable income and financial security. Even though it takes up most of my time, I’d rather have a steady paycheck to cover my needs and plan for the future. A full-time job also provides benefits like health insurance, paid leave, and career growth.

some full time jobs still give you enough time for yourself, friends and family for some jobs 8 hours is already a full time job which gives you enough time for other things i’ll go for the full time instead because i would want to give my family help as much as i can

because if i choose part time job, what else should i be doing for the rest of my time if not work?

Full time job is always the best I can't even imagine myself doing a part time job except maybe it's an occasional job that comes from time to time if not I will prefer a full time job more than a part time job, because a full time job is one that you give yourself attention to at all time and you will always take it serious because you know that that is your sources of income.even in terms of pay you can't compare a part-time job to a full time job because the pay is really even different as full time job always attracts a better pay than a part time job

Full time job will give you passive income which you can use to live happily with your family.  But a part time job will give you a lot of freedom and you will have a lot of time to do something new. If along with part time job you can think creatively and manage your business then you will get benefit from part time job but if you do nothing else besides part time job and just waste your time then you need full time job.

So if someone prefers casual job then I would prefer full time job for him.  And if someone wants to be an entrepreneur then I would ask him to do a part time job and run his business along with it.

How are you going to survive on a part time job, i thought people worked full time and then took part time jobs to add to their income. I have a full time job and i have other sources of income over the internet, and those are the jobs i consider to be my part time jobs.

Depends on needs. If my needs are fulfilled I would go with part time job, if not — sorta like gotta get house, transportation vehicle or similar then I may go with full time job to reach that goal faster.

Pretty sure that majority will really be  that wanting to settle for full time job on which this is somewhat gives out that kind of security that you will be able to earn salary in long time period but of course it would be situational yet we do know that there are different situations or conditions that could possibly lost up your job on which simply means that there's no guarantee into this one. We do know that part time could pay up more but we do know that its not permanent and if you do have a family to feed then you wont really be coming up with this option and would really be going for that full time job rather going for the part time. If you do have multiple part times then you wont be that worrying up that much but if just one? You cant rely on that alone

Get a full time job and as well as a part time job if the salary isn't enough or if you're currently pursuing something that can be education or career and can't focus on something like a day job then get a part time job so it's all about our needs and wants there's no perfect answer to this question.

But to say which one pays better pick that one.

I realize that as I grow older, I need more time to spend with my family and that's why I am choosing to go part time. But that can't be help when I need full time salary so that I can provide more for them. If there is someone who's working fulltime but have a flexible job and gets a full time salary, they're the most fortunate people in the world. If given a chance to have that spot, I'll take it in a heartbeat. It's a blessing.

I really enjoyed reading all your responses, and these comments will help me come into conclusion on the kind of job that suits my current financial situation. A friend of mine has two job opportunities which he needs to decide on which one to go for. A part time job and a full-time job. Both of the pays good salary. The full-time job will be the best for anyone who loves working like him.

The question is, can a part time job cover the needs of an adult, probably one with a family, i don't think that is possible. I am not talking about remote jobs, because people earn a lot from their online remote jobs, i am talking about a low paying part time job, i don't think it can be enough.

Yeah, I did mention if pay from part time job is enough to fullfill my needs then only would choose part time job, but may be my wording wasn't clear enough.

You’re definitely right, part time jobs gives one the chance to explore other areas, that’s why I’d rather have a part time job, rather than tying myself down with a full term job, regardless of how much the job is paying. I’m the kind of person that loves to explore other areas, both online and offline.

If it is a full-time job that pays very well, why not? I think the choices of many people will be based on the money. Some full-time jobs are not worth devoting your time to because the pay and salary at the end of the month are usually not encouraging. While there are some full-time jobs that will actually compensate you properly for your time, in such cases the part-time job will not be necessary because you may not be in any more need of a side business or hustle.

You are totally correct, it’s better to suffer now and enjoy later, than to suffer now and still suffer later for the family that won’t allow someone to rest when one fails to bring enough food on table, so I agreed with you to work full-time job rather than part time job, even it’s time and attention the family needs, I believe most full-time job do have a day off from work, which one can have the time to spend with your loved ones and besides one won’t sleep on work, so when one also closes from work, he or she will also spend the little time with their families before going to bed and continue the next, which some people are living like that nowadays because of the present condition of the economic except I have other works to do before I can consider part-time job, which I’m not really sure about it.

Part-time job that pays the same as a full-time job. :P

It's a subjective TBH. You can have a part time job, and yes you will have more time to spend with your family, but your salary is way lower than those who are doing a full-time job. On the flip-side, those who have a full time job can earn more than those who are doing part time job, but they have limited time to spend with their family.

If you want to spend time with your family while earning the same as those doing full-time, go find a part-time job that pays the same as working full-time. Here in our country, it's very easy to do that through being a freelancer since there are some part-time online jobs that pays higher than those who are working full time here.

I prefer a part-time job that pays like a full-time job; we all want a sustainable income while we have time for our family and doing the things we love, but unfortunately we seldom encounter this opportunity.
The best that we can come out is to manage our time properly so even if we have a full-time job we still have time for our family and do the thing we love doing.

There is a clear difference in the benefits and perks provided between full time and part time employees. In most cases, the full time employees enjoy more benefits than their part time counterparts. But I would definitely lean towards a full time job because a full time job can offer stability, benefits, and a higher income but it may require more time and energy. However, part time jobs can provide more flexibility and potentially a higher combined income but they can also result in less job security, benefits, and a busier schedule. Part time jobs are always the best way to enjoy life because you will get huge rest time than full time jobs.

In this case, the tendency to pick a form of work is always influenced by need and the feeling one gets. Some just like to have fixed plan of working, while others feel more comfortable with the approach that gives them more leeway. It is impossible to conclude that one or another option is worthy of everybody’s choice, because each option has its benefits. The most important to know how I can do it, setting aside the fact that it seems to be a very heavy task. It means, one ought to make a choice if that can give both the advantage mentally and in terms of material possession. There are numerous foster ways through which people manage to get the balance between working life as well as the free time that they have.

What makes a part time to be that looking interesting because of the potential profit that you can be able to get or income with part time job and this what makes that someone will really be that focusing on getting one just because they are really that wanting to have that better financial condition or state. You are the ones will really be having the option and choices when it comes to this manner. If you do saw that your current full time job earning isnt that enough on what you are pending then its common sense that you will really be that trying out to find for another one. So it will really be that up you on what are the things you are really that trying to deal on with. So it will be situational into this aspect because we do have different considerations.

Yeah, it really depends on what you need. Full-time jobs give you stability, benefits, and a steady paycheck, but they take up a lot of your time. Part-time jobs, on the other hand, give you more freedom and might let you earn extra if you take on multiple gigs. If your full-time job isn’t paying enough, it makes sense to look for another source of income. At the end of the day, it’s all about what works best for your situation.

It all depends upon hourly pay rates and the balance between your work and home life. No matter what, my advice would be to always look for opportunities for development.

You should always look for opportunities and if you get an opportunity to earn extra income, you should definitely take it. so I would say if you get a full time job then why would you want to do a part time job if you don't have any other good source of income. I would say always take the one that can be the highest source of income for you.  So according to that full time job is better, but if you have your own business or you are involved in some work that can pay you more than full time job then you can opt for part time job. Otherwise full time job is always better

And what about work-home life balance? What is the point of exhausting yourself earing which is detrimental to your physical and mental health? If it is a compulsion, then you might not have any choice but most of the times it is because we do not introspect properly.

I agree with you because in my area there are families of people who work all day and never have a rest. If my family member grows up I will need a lot of money to run my life, which is why I will always try to get a full time job. But if the quality of our job is good and the salary is high, then we can keep a limit on the number of jobs we can do. So the demand for any job part time or full time, will depend on the financial needs of my life.

It is really just that on someones decisions whether they would really be that going into such decision on trying out to make that switch up or they would really be rather on having both just because he/she cant be able to afford on losing his main job. We do really have that kind of hesitance on which this is really that kinda understandable into this aspect.

Depends on needs. If my needs are fulfilled I would go with part time job, if not — sorta like gotta get house, transportation vehicle or similar then I may go with full time job to reach that goal faster.
My brother we always hope for the best, now where will you see a per time work/job that the salary will be able to stabilise your life. Even people with full time job their salary are not enough to spend and they struggle to meet their daily needs, talkless of per time job. I would prefer a full time job than a per time job, because a lots of responsibilities has to be fulfil. I know it very important to spend quality time with family, so during weekend I will spend the whole day with my family and give them all my attention as much as possible. But I will not choose a per time work to spend the rest of the day with my family, because I need to put food on the table, and it's essential to prioritise my family needs, And I must work very hard to provide them with balance diets that will nourish their body and prevent them from malnutrition.

In my opinion it depends on our financial condition if we work just for formality and to relieve boredom then I would prefer to work part time to save energy but if I am in need of money or have responsibilities such as home needs or have debts of course I prefer to work full time which will give us a bigger income, unfortunately I am not a rich person so of course I would choose to work full time to be able to meet my needs and save for the future.

As the topic says. Do you like a part time job or a full time job. I know that full-time job pays higher than a part-time job, but at the same time it consumes your time. You will have very little time to yourself and your family. Which one do you prefer, a part time job or a full time job, and give your reasons.

I will consider going for a part time job rather than going for a full time job, talking about who pays high, you can earn more when you go for a part-time job, it all depends on how you managed your time and set your today list or the goals you dream to achieve. Meaning I can decide to have as many has part-time job that will be paying me trice a full-time job. And will have more time to take good care of my family and friends and also have a few full time with them to discuss and interact with one another. But a full time job will not give you such freedom to move around and be with your love one's because you are stick to a boss that will only allow you to move around when you are done with the task given to you. And not even all full-time job gives you access to live the premises of your work place, even when you are a little bit free from task given to you for that day, unless when the closing hour elapsed for you to go home. And getting back home you look so tired and exhausted, which you will just be left with a few minutes or hours to spend with the family and still all depends on the strength you have to be with them for that day. Because you are already thinking on how to resume work early morning again. So I will give more priority for a part-time job rather than going for a full-time job.

The right decision because when your family has a large number of people, a lot of expenses are required and if you want to save any funds for the future you have to work full time. There are many rich people who earn a lot of money even by working part time because their business scope is large. In fact, it depends on the financial condition of the person whether he will be involved in full or short time work. If we are not on the rich list, we should work full time.

Working part time only works for people with less responsibilities, working full time is the only way to earn more money that will give room for savings and investments. It’s also better to have multiple side hustles that can make one earn passive income easily.

As much as possible, then you should be finding alternatives and since we do know that we've been affected by inflation then as years passing by then it do gets harder to survive specially if you do have a family to feed then its just wise that you should be taking up further step in order for you to survive on which via means trying out to look for another side hustle that could potentially give out the chance to earn more. There are instances that your side income do goes even higher with your main job. This is where some people decided that they do go switch up but make it sure that this one will be lasting up even more rather than on the old one because if it happens that you have made switch up but ending up on being jobless in the end on which you do need to look out for.

There are many people who are attached to part-time work because they are rich and have many companies or business establishments. Such large companies or business establishments have a lot of people working in them, due to which the responsibility of the owners there is less. However, those who want to fight in life and run for the purpose of earning money to earn a living as well as saving funds should work full time.

Usually part-time work is done by people who have limited free time, for example if the person is still in school and wants to help the family finances but cannot do full-time work because they have to divide their time between studying and working, then the only solution is to do part-time work, even though the results are not much, but at least enough to add pocket money, then there are also people who dedicate their time to continue working full time and also part-time they do many different jobs every day to pursue their target so actually part-time and full-time work are the same as long as they can adjust to their needs.

For me, I want a full-time job because it gives me a stable income and financial security. Even though it takes up most of my time, I’d rather have a steady paycheck to cover my needs and plan for the future. A full-time job also provides benefits like health insurance, paid leave, and career growth.

Well, you are right but it all depends on individual on which they prefer most, people has their likes and dislikes because of one reason or the other, most people due part time job for them to also has another source of income, they don’t only depend only one source of income, as they believe that one day, their only source of income might crash and then, they will have to start life afresh, looking for work or jobs which might lead them to go begging, also for those that work full time, they have their reasons just as you have listed out your points.
