The Monster is back and will now be fighting in the US, specifically in Las Vegas, against Ramon Cardenas. Cardenas, an American fighter, has a record of 26 wins, 14 by knockout, and 1 loss. It’s important to note that this fight will still be in the 122-pound division, so I think Inoue will demolish Cardenas as he is now comfortable fighting at this weight.
What are your thoughts on this fight guys?

Never knew the guy but already watched some highlights of his fights. I noticed that he has a powerful left hook much like Donaire. He looks like a good counter puncher also but that could be a downside against someone like Inoue (who seems to be faster). No bets yet for me but an interesting bout for sure.
-
With Inoue's stopping power he has the edge on this match if Cardenas is not gonna knock Inoue on early rounds. Cardenas match against Banquez isn't that good to me and based on that I will give this match in favor of Inoue no doubt about that.
-
Inoue once again. he sure fights a lot in a year. he continue climbing the weight class, it won't be long we will reach to the division where stronger men will knock him. Nery made him taste the knock down, he can only hope he find someone lesser than him, this Cardenas looks sturdy.
A a year more or two Inoue vs Tank Davis would be possible by then. hope he wins this one again.
-
It's good that Inoue has found another boxer, because it should be Alan Picasso. But Alan back down in the last minute and so they will have to find a replacement.
Although we thought that he will be entering 126 lbs next, but in this fight it's his comfortable super bantamweight weight limit of 122 lbs. Yeah, most likely another KO win by Inoue here.

Ramon Cardenas was the WBA mandatory challenger for Inoue and with his credentials i think that this could be an easy fight for Naoya Inoue, this will be some sort of introduction fight for Inoue in the US soil. Though this is not the first time that he will be fighting in the US but this would be the first since holding that unified titles.

Yes, Cardenas is rank higher and the mandatory that's why he was pick to be the next fighter after Alan Picasso has back down because his father feels that Alan in not ready yet.
And after a long absence in the US soil, Inoue will be back. But this time, he has a lot of hype behind him and so I'm expecting a lot of fight fans across the States to go and watch this fight live.

Yeah, there's a lot of hype around him this time but the downside this time is that he is fighting a not so popular boxer, a mandatory fight which we already knew that Inoue will win. Anyways, we will just wait on when he will go up to the featherweight division where he will be tested.

I just realized that if these two happen to meet, it would be an exciting match. Davis was significantly exposed by Roach, while Inoue possesses superior boxing talent compared to Roach, which could pose a problem for Tank Davis. I hope that HE Turki will arrange this fight in a couple of years.

So far, below are the odds for the round range and as expected, rounds 1-6 has the lower odds because that's the rounds where most like the fight will end and the later it will end the bigger the odds as most people think that this fight will end early, round 6 the latest. BTW, this odds is from our local fiat bookies as no crypto-bookies has release this kind of odds as of now.

But I do like those odds though, rounds 1-6 is the most likely round that Inoue will win base on previous fights. Luis Nery - round 6, TJ Doheny round 7, Ye Joon-Kim round 4. So if you average his fight in the last 3, it's just about that round range. Although there could be factors like the fight is not going to be in Japan so Inoue might have to adjust on the environment and the atmosphere of the crowd. Nevertheless, once he get a feel of the fight, then he might end this fight < round 6 in my prediction.

Not siding with Tank Davis, but I think Tank might just have one of those off night that's why it was a different version of him that we have seen. And thinking that 3 out 3 fights, he will beat Roach.
Speaking of 126 lbs champion, Angelo Leo says that Inoue is not a monster. He will be fighting Japanese Tomoki Kameda next.

Yup, maybe Tank Davis just have an off night on that fight with Lamont Roach which affect his performance, have read an article that prior to the fight, his real estate property got burned by a fire which i think one of the reason of him not 100 percent that night but i also do think that Tank vs Inoue would be exciting to watch.

This! I am also waiting for this match and I think this is much more exciting for me as well compared to Quadro Alas vs. Inoue. I am also wondering if Inoue can handle fighters on higher divisions just like what Pacquiao did on his boxing records. What do you guys think?

I’d bet most of Inoue's recent matches are hyped not mainly because of his opponents, but simply because it’s "another" Inoue fight. People are tuning in to see his performance, how he’ll dominate, and in which round he’ll finish it. That’s what makes it exciting. I’ve noticed that too, his fights are always entertaining. Honestly, I’ve become a fan of him just because of that.

Davis was dehydrated afaik trying to win a belt in 130. he didn't count Roach being such an unknown champ. he is actually a good fighter.
Assuming Davis on that bout,, i think it would be possible for Inoue vs Tank to both fight at 126lbs. or at 130 since Inoue plans to move up as well after his next title defense fight.

Isn't it they fight at 135 lbs? So I'm confused on your statement about Davis dehydrated at 130 lbs? Roach is the champion at 130 lbs and when he fought Tank, he move up in weight and almost upset Davis if not for the wrong call by the referee.
As for Inoue vs Davis, I do not think that Tank is willing to go down to 130 lbs and fight Inoue. The Japanese should be the one to move up at 135 lbs just like what Roach to do in order to fight Tank.

It's already given that Inoue is going to win the match decisively based on what I saw in Cardenas's previous fight; Cardenas is not the fighter who can beat Inoue on any angles. On Bitcointalk, there is a poll on what round Inoue will knock out Cardenas. I think that's what everybody is betting on now, and not who will win the fight.

Yup, this is just another day in the office for Naoya Inoue as Ramon Cardenas don't pose a threat to Inoue's belt and the practical way to bet on Inoue is what round will he knockout Cardenas. Nothing against him but i think Inoue's camp should stop feeding their ward nobodies, i mean they should make Inoue fight a very competitive fight.

Right, this is just a routine fight for Inoue, not just going to the motions, but at least he is not having a long layoff as it could have affected him badly.
And they might have chosen a opponent that Inoue will really look good going back in the US. So this is already a W for Inoue and so what we're looking as who is the next opponent that he is going to face next.

It's more on the confidence of Inoue to beat anyone in front of him. We haven't seen him losing and so this Cardenas might be just one of his easiest opponent.
Cardenas might just take this as a golden opportunity to go with one of the best. For sure he will believed in himself that he can beat Inoue but that is a very difficult task for him.

Yup, i agree that Cardenas should take this fight as an inspiration for future him as a fight with the best in the bantamweight division is a feather in his cap. The only thing he could do is to last as ling as possible or fight until the bell sounded, easier said than done but if ever he could do this then it is like winning the fight already.

As a fan, I just imagining that the fighters could have been unwinding their training already as we only have 1 week before the fight. So the physical preparation could have been completed.
Now, it's time to be more focus and used their mind to sharpen it and be ready for this fight specially Cardenas who really needs to be perfect in everything here if he wanted to win and pull an upset against pound for pound Inoue. He might have the homecourt advantage as Inoue hasn't been in the US for many years.

With less than a week to go, the fighters are already tapering their training regimen and in fact Naoya Inoue is already in Las Vegas as of this writing, he arrived in the US just last week.
As for the betting odds, no major changes on them and i'm betting on the "round4-6" for Inoue @3.10 as that is the more practical way to bet on this fight at least for me.
