Title: Unbank Bitcoin ATMs [Nostr Data Dump]
Post by: NotATether on March 15, 2025, 06:05:35 AM
Unbank makes a network of bitcoin ATMs in the United States across 45 different states (https://unbank.com/blog/article/welcome-to-unbank) (so far)

They have many partners such as:

BTCPayServer (you all know this) - for payment settling
ReadyCode (apparently this is some ATM integration software)
Pocketbook (I don't know what this is)

Apparently they aren't centrally controlled, as they were seen being resold on Facebook Marketplace.

Maybe you guys  should check them out if you need some quick cash.

I don't know what the fees of this thing are.

I think it would be like the other bitcoin ATMs that charges almost 10% or more which is too expensive for me if compared to P2P. But I am not from United States.

If the ATM can be seen on https://coinatmradar.com/country/226/bitcoin-atm-united-states/, probably the fees can be known.

Bitcoin ATMs are not making inroads here in my country probably because there is really no discernable demand for it and if in case the fees can be as high as 10% then I would always prefer to deal with P2P (already available here for years) in converting my Bitcoin to my nation's currency. However, if one is really needing some cash as soon as possible then these ATMs can be there for anyone who can find them. And since these machines can still be found is telling us that there is still business that can be done with them...and make some money for their operators for sure.

I have seen only one ATM around my part and I too always use P2P other than other methods, though I would be interested to see what are the fees anyway just to be sure, I just never had a need to visit this ATM.
