Well this might sound like a no-brainer to some of you, but lately I was thinking about how there are so many companies on Bitcointalk who haven't created a copy of their thead on Altcoinstalks.
What do you think about simply mirroring the OP of those topics onto this forum's ANN board?
Then if a representative comes and wants control over the ANN thread, it can be locked and they can create a new one themselves per their own requirements.
There's only like 10 services on the first page of ANNs board bere versus 100+ on Bitcointalk across all boards.

Sounds like misrepresentation to me- If they want to be here, they will; I see no reason to bring services that have no interest in being here without their permission. Some smart players could use this to steer potential clients to phishing sites by mirroring a BTT service and misrepresenting it here.

What about contacting them first to get approval?
Even though they are probably too busy to respond, I think the issue here is that most companies have never even heard of Altcoinstalks.
Right now a campaign manager can copy the thread over if they want, but if there is none, there is not much we can do about it.

For me I'd say they probably haven't heard about this forum or are simply not that interested because of it's traffic compared to that of btt... We have some campaign managers here as well who still manages those services on btt but just few of the services they manage on Bitcointalk are brought over here. They might have probably tried to convince their clients but not interested.
I don't think bringing their services here without their consent would be right. If they can be informed at first then it will be okay at least with their approval...

Well, I do not think this is a good idea, and this is because assuming the same company have users or end up having users from this forum who are not on the other forum, and they have an issue wit the company, who do the contact here on this forum for resolution? Is it that op of the Ann on this forum who is not an official rep of the company, or will the simply depend on the company's customer service on the site? What if they are not responding?
A better thing I believe is that this forum still needed much more marketing, many of those companies that have ann on btt and does not have same on this forum don't even know that a forum like this one exist, some of them who know may also not be interested in creating an Ann thread here because they believe it's still the same users of btt that are here, we need to promote this forum much more, get alot of users from outside btt to become members here, thereby increasing the forum's unique traffic and popularity.

I don’t agree with the idea of posting on behalf of a company without contacting them first - if you reach out to them and let them know that you are interested in sharing their business Ann thread and they are okay with it then you can create (some might not agree to it unless you want to do it for free).
If they agree with you creating the thread - then you should have more confidence to message them if an issue should arise with any forum member here because you got their permission to create the thread here but if they never asked you to share it here and you did then if anything happens they might just decide to never attend to that user unless the user take the case over to Bitcointalk.
So, if you want to contact them first before creating the thread then it should be fine but creating without letting them know isn’t something I’d advise - others have also mentioned some of the other issues that might possibly occur.
-
I don't really agree with this. I thought announcement thread was an opportunity to reach out to a company support. It would lack life if the team isn't here.
Making a thread about their service isn't bad but it shouldn't be an ANN.

I don't know if many companies over there don't know that there is forum exist here and it call altcoinstalks. And mirroring those threads to this side without them following to this side is not even good because the person that is bringing them might not manage the brand and there are lot of things to do mostly Promotions. And it is not lawful to bring it without informing them and even if you inform them and they wouldn't allowed or does not want to come, so there are many things to consider.
So what can can is to tell the campaign managers here to also tell their clients that they can advertise their projects or brands over here too. And coming here is a choice and not otherwise.

A good idea to contact them first. If you mirror their Ann here and there arise a case of scam or so, will you be able to remedy the situation?
Contacting them first could be an easy way to becoming a campaign manager.

As long as you mention on the tittle and body of the topic that it’s unofficial, I see no problem with that.
[unofficial] binance discussion thread
Then people who use the service can talk about it, like when we have the uefa championship and someone creates a thread for it on the other forum, obviously unofficial but a necessity for people to talk about it.

I wouldn't do that.
However, If someone is interested in specific service they can always contact them and ask to create account and topic here if they want.
I don't see any good reason for someone to create and actively maintain topics in both forums, but services not allowed in bitcointalk are more than welcomed here.

Right now a campaign manager can copy the thread over if they want, but if there is none, there is not much we can do about it.
Contacting clients directly first will not work well with their campaign managers (the majority of active ANN are managed), and we all know the lengthy conversation we'll have on the reputation board if someone goes over their heads to reach their clients.
If a service agrees to be here, they may not have the funding to add an extra representative unless it is a volunteer service, which I do not believe is reasonable.

I agree with you since we ideally should only make thread about certain service that we actually want to discuss. Discussion and ANN thread are two different thing, so there's no conflict if representative of the company decide to create ANN thread in the future.
-
If it is for general discussion, we can create threads on the Brand or the project but if this foe announcement thread I think it is better to tell the representatives of the other forum to come and create the ANN thread by themselves because it looks like we are representing them in this forum and when people has problem they contact you or accuse you of supporting the brand while you are not.

This is actually a good point. They would most likely agree because of more reach and it's free advertisement, it doesn't mean they would be interested in allocating some resources here. After seeking approval to post, it would be the 'representative' who should handle inquiries in case the company's CS do not respond here.

We're still in denial on this forum; the traffic is nice and increasing, but not every project/company views this as their target audience or wants to be here. We shouldn't force any service to be here, if they see this place fit they will.

I think contacting them is the first step. That way, not only do you get permission, but if they're not familiar with this forum, they can get more information and show interest in representing themselves here. That would be good for both parties.
For me I'd say they probably haven't heard about this forum or are simply not that interested because of it's traffic compared to that of btt... It's possible that some of these companies might not be interested, but that would be unusual, as they should be interested in being represented on as many forums as possible. However, I also believe other companies are unaware of this forum, and NotATether's proposal would be a good opportunity to know about Altcoinstalks.

I agree with Igebotz's position here. If the company doesn't or doesn't want to be active here, that's up to them. I would not pressure anyone into additional duties, nor would I accept to represent someone without prior agreement.
Many also left Bitcointalk because they unexpectedly received a lot of criticism, so they decided that it was better for them not to be present.

I agree with you on this and we should not force anyone to create official ANN and give support here,
but anyone can open unofficial thread if they want to do it, this would be enough to see if there is genuine interest in specific services.
This is better approach for all sides.
