Title: How do you explain cryptocurrency to your friends?
Post by: bayu7adi on April 01, 2025, 06:08:48 AM
Well, when I talk about jobs, I intentionally mention cryptocurrency as one of the opportunities to earn money... but the few times I talk about it with people who don't understand cryptocurrency, it just confuses them...

I have no intention of attracting them to become a crypto community or crypto investor, I just want to explain about cryptocurrency, about our side jobs that actually make money and can be used to meet needs...

So, what if your friend asks you "what is cryptocurrency? and how does it work to make money?"

All you need to do is just explain what crypto currency is as a digital currency and you will explain more about the crypto and how he or she will be able to make much money from crypto. And letting them know that the digital money don’t need any or require any financial assistance or institutions to verify your payment or transaction just you and your asset. You will have to explain to them that they have their own asset all by their self and it is secure and also they can be able to make a lot of money from the crypto world through different ways.
You can start by making them understand how investment work and you can tell them more about some crypto forums that you can work and earn just like this forum and many more so with this you will be able to convince him or her and they can likely change their mind and be in crypto world with us.
Tell them the benefits of crypto and how secured their money can be and making them understand not to play or give any second party their private key to avoid being scam or taken advantage of by some users. That they should always seek knowledge from you about anything they don’t know to be on a safer place and they could also ask people who have been in the game for long.

To make it simple, the easiest I think is to tell them that crypto is like the typical company stocks that we see. In that way, it's more conventional and easier for a normie to understand of what crypto is. Those that don't understand it still, I'd tell them that it is a digital thing, a digital money that can be spent on and hold for a longer period of time.

I‘d literally explain to them like i would to a teenage kid because explaining terms like decentralization might still be confusing to them. Would explain cryptocurrency as digital money while Fiat as the normal dollar bill. Use Bitcoin as a key example for investing, how it’s value has increased over the years.

It depends whether they ask it in casual or serious manner. At bare minimum, i would say
1. Cryptocurrency is a kind of digital money/currency that isn't controlled by government.
2. Just like fiat, you can make money on cryptocurrency by doing a job.

Exactly, it's a great summary to talk about quickly
For some friends, that's enough for them to move on to the next subject, but when the person becomes more interested and starts to ask how it is, where the coins comes from, how to trust it, etc., then I try to give a few more explanations

Analogies are still the best way to explain
For some, I explain that it works a bit like the stock market, that BTC would be similar to gold for some investors, etc.

You have to take into account the level of familiarity that people have with the technology in order to explain it in a way that they understand, I think that's perhaps the most important thing
It's different having to explain how it works to an IT person than to someone who doesn't use computers or smartphones

Yes when a job is talked about, definitely cryptocurrency will follow because is a free Lansing work that's very convenient to do even if someone is working. So actually if my friends ask me about it I will first of all define it for them in the term they would understand because if somebody does not understand cryptocurrency even if they saw the meaning they may not no how it is practically.

So after explaining, I will not also forget to define the challenges that come with it, so that I will not have someone who will come to make trouble that there investment worth was reduced after the coin they bought falls in price, so those things are what I will teach or tell them to avoid conflict.

I never mentioned that crypto is way to make money to any people in person, I talked about this to very few and it's about the decentralization not the returns. I just go too deep and explain the rigged money system that made us to believe a paper holds value while they just keep printing more and more when no one notices. It takes keen interests to understand those things but I am happy that I taught few of them about this and I feel like GOATed when I do that. :D

Thats right. Comparing them to stocks is way to make it easy. No one in my circle of friends actually earns cryptocurrency. I tried to make them understand in this manner as well since they ask what I do online. They may pretend to understand what I'm saying but when I ask if they are going to invest in Bitcoin, they still think its too expensive to buy.

Despite explaining that they can buy just about $100 worth of BTC, they ask how would that make them rich? The discussion can go on for hours and in the end, its hard for them to learn new skills.

Cryptocurrency is what I would explain to my friends or people like that, crypto means invisible and cryptocurrency means invisible-currency which is mostly done through block chain transactions. It is more accessible and more modern than our usual traditional fiat currency.
There is no specific answer to how to earn from it because here you can earn crypto by selling your skills or services and generate profit or money by investing, which we call trading and mining and many more.

This idea of telling people that crypto is the way to make money has caused a lot of misunderstanding between family and friends when they actually don't see such a thing happening to them when they have invested a huge amount and expect a return on investments in a short time.

We know how unpredictable and volatile the market is. Telling someone you know that crypto is the way to make money doesn't sound good to me because of the misunderstanding I have seen people have because of it, when they invest in some coins for profits, they end up having a loss of investment because they invested at the wrong timing(bull run).

I would advise telling someone you know that crypto is the digital currency, they can have as a store of value and also transact with it

For a non financial person, it might be very different, but for those who have somewhat a basic understanding of let's say what I stock is, then we can compare it to investing in stocks, and the bull/bear market, buy low, sell high philosophy.

But for those who doesn't have basic understand, it might be very difficult, but perhaps we can approach and tell them that crypto or at least Bitcoin is comparable to Gold, hence they are called "Digital Gold".

Then from then on, you can explain everything in the context of a gold, limited supply, price go up base on supply and demand, and then you can make money out of it by holding.

Or then the difference, it's decentralized, no boundaries, you can send anyone a crypto any time in the world.

Explaining it would be nice, but as for me who isn't that good when it comes to explaining, sometimes I'm just saying a brief definition of it, but I always say "search it on Google as it give you a better answer than mine".

I guess I'm lucky that nobody's asking about cryptocurrency... or at least for quite some time, and TBH, I want to stay that way because I'm not the type of person who is good at explaining something. I don't want to explain, but I'll let the internet do its thing. After all, every knowledge that a newbie needs are on the internet already and it's accessible as well and what's good is, IT'S FREE.

crypto is digital money in which its value depend on the demand and supply and we investors make money from the volatility of crypto it’s actually not that hard to understand so long as your friend is willing to learn

Fortunately, I never have to deal with this question as nobody of my friends have asked this myself and partly because they are not interested with it or maybe most never heard yet on things related to cryptocurrency plus I never advertise cryptocurrency for them. However, if there can be one asking the same then I would just tell him to search the internet for it but just be careful because there are many scammers and fraudsters using cryptocurrency as a mask to fool people around. All the things one can learn on cryptocurrency are already online and it is just a matter of looking for them plus social media platforms like Facebook and X are replete with things of cryptocurrency.

I will simply answer what cryptocurrency is and what the difference is between fiat and crypto. The advantages and disadvantages, the adoption, the stories of people who made a fortune and also of those who lost. If my friend is the one asking questions, it means he is interested, and if a person is interested,.

We should become open books to them because when we share knowledge we don't lose anything instead we learn and earn more, that's the reality too.

I second the opinion that you should explain cryptocurrency as another form of money where you can earn by doing some jobs. Introducing crypto as a get-rich-quick scheme is not a good idea; if anything, it might lead people to distance themselves from crypto. I think that's how my brother knows about it. I introduced some remote jobs to him, and the owners paid him with crypto, so he has to learn about crypto wallets, exchanges, etc because he needs to liquidate it to fiat for his daily needs. He does end up researching more and learn about meme tokens, airdrop farming, etc, but he knows that those are risky and not the best option to get stable income.

Actually, I understand the point of my friends' conversations asking about cryptocurrency, it ends with "How can cryptocurrency make money?" all the conversations actually boil down to that... but when the conversation first started they might have doubted the question a little, so it didn't seem serious... yes, many conversations didn't seem too deep, because what they meant to me was just "I want to make money like you quickly", yes but through unimportant conversations first to start the dialogue...

Sometimes there are questions that I answer seriously, and it just confuses them... maybe because the way I convey the message is not right, or maybe they have difficulty understanding me... however, there are also friends of mine who ask seriously and pay close attention to every word I say... but in the end there are some terms that they don't understand and make them confused...

Funny how people get terrified when you bring up cryptocurrency. Individuals expecting the world to remain motionless while the economy changes. Once you cut off the hype, the scams, the influencers selling dreams, what is cryptocurrency? Simply said, it's a decentralized value system under mathematical security rather than governmental trust. No of magic or fairy dust. Accounting without banks, under control by code, seen by all

How does it make money? Your personality will determine this. Are you a miner? A validator? An trader? A developer? A gambler? Neither does crypto "make money" on its own. It serves as a tool. Some utilize it to create infrastructure while others speculate. Same way people make money off housing, stocks, or the art world. Not because the house is magical but rather since markets exist

Still, most individuals have no idea how it works. When their bills arrive, they want to know whether it is stable, if it is legal, and if they could depend on it. The dilemma is modern. How would you explain an idea that calls for the whole trust-based system they were raised on to be questioned without making them feel as though you are calling them to join a cult?

Hey everyone,

Whenever I bring up crypto with friends, I often get blank stares or a ton of skeptical questions. I try to break it down in simple terms, but it still feels like I’m not getting the point across.

How do you usually explain cryptocurrency to someone new? Do you have a go-to analogy or a crypto investment guide you recommend?

Also, if someone is serious about getting into the space, would working with a cryptocurrency consultant be worth it?

Curious to hear your thoughts!

I personally find talks about cryptocurrencies very interesting and i tend to associate myself with individuals who find such talks interesting. while at the onset if my discovery about this wave of crypto, i gained my knowledge basically from books, youtube and the rest of the media outlets mainly because the people i surrounded myself with had little or no idea of cryptocurrencies. At that point, when i try to introduce topics regarding cryptos in our friends discussion, it was always shoveled as they saw it as a waste of time and funds especially.well fast forward till today, the people i surrounded myself with mostly have in depth ideas of cryptocurrency and it’s benefits as well. Such talks always tend to be interesting as knowledge is gained.

To me I will explain in a simple and plain terms, that cryptocurrency is a digital money that exists only online it's like your money in your bank account, but Instead of being physical, its made up of computer code. It allows you to make payments and transaction without needing a bank. And you have total control over your money, it's extremely secure and your money is protected by powerful computer code that makes it virtually impossible for anyone to steal.

Not simple based on our mind when explaining to the other about cryptocurrency, but if any one ask me about crypto firstly appointed about crypto have high risk but high return for investing. I just guide my friend or the other when asking about cryptocurrency because too risk when recommending them to invest in crypto or based on which one coins have to invest.
Personally, I don't interested yet for explaining the other people about cryptocurrency but if most of them ask about free way to earn money in cryptocurrency I will explain them.

It's hard to tell someone who is a layman and doesn't know anything about crypto at all,
I even have to provide detailed information about crypto and also provide a reference link to know what crypto is.

The laypeople I met including my friends and relatives understood crypto to be just a trade,
even though crypto is broad and not just cryptocurrency trading.

There are many terms in crypto that will not be understood by ordinary people, but if they really want to learn about crypto and get into it,
there will be more effort to learn on their own.

Some will probably do it, but most people will just stop and assume that crypto can't deliver any results because it's not instant.

So, what if your friend asks you "what is cryptocurrency? and how does it work to make money?"

That's very simple to explain.
I can be like, think of it as a regular money that we use, but in a digital form. Unlike the single currency that is assigned to a particular country, the crypto market is vast and filled with thousands of different currencies that are not assigned to a particular country. You can trade any for the other without leaving your bedroom. You can sell any in a platform we call exchange, for your local currency that is being assigned to your country. The prices of the majority of them fluctuates because they are not stable, while some of them appreciates overtime, making them a good investment asset.

Yes, some new terms may be heard by laymen when we explain cryptocurrency, and actually it takes time to understand them one by one... people's stigma about crypto which is considered as an instant money maker, should be eliminated.... many people think that I make money from crypto in a short time and with little effort.. even though it takes quite a long time to learn it... and they didn't participate when I was in the learning stage...

Very interesting question if you ask me. My explanation here will be that cryptocurrency is simply a digital or virtual currency, and that one can make money off it in a number of ways. One method is to buy cryptocurrency like bitcoin, keep it safe in a secured wallet with the intent that the value will appreciate over a period of time, then sell and make profit. Or the friend can also reserve the coins still in a safe wallet and earn extra coins as interest in the course of time {as with 'staking' Ethereum 2.0}. very importantly, I will bring the friend to terms with the pros and cons associated with it i.e. the volatility of the market and instability of price and live them with the choice to make.

In my nation, you don't really need to explain much or speak much grammar to let them know what crypto is and probably how to attract them to join the crypto industry. If the question comes...

Man: What is this cryptocurrency all about?
Me: Cryptocurrency is a large word that's all summarized amongst us as Bitcoin (BTC).

Then you've given the most pleasant definition and you've grabbed the attention of your listener. Then you dive into explaining what the Crypto space comprises and how it could generate income for individuals.

Mind you, you need proof to draw attention especially to those who are novice because no matter how good you are in explaining crypto terms without showing proof of your speech, the person won't comprehend even if he nods that he's understanding. They always say; Seeing is believing

I was also about to say make a comparison with stocks but from your angle, it doesn't seem you're telling them to trade. It's more like working extra to get additional income. Just tell them it's like an online money or a token that you can convert to fiat. Once they are acquainted with transferring and converting, they will probably ask more about investing and storing.

Whatever the case may be I actually don't like explaining crypto to my friends especially the ones that are eager  to make extra cash from every possible means . One thing about people is that they always get the wrong opinion of things whenever things starts going wrong and if am correct crypto is exactly the atmosphere that can turn you frustrated and confused if you tend to venture into with the wrong perspective and idea, which many pay it out as a get rich scheme.

There were a lot of people who asked and even invited me to learn in crypto from the beginning, but they were inconsistent and didn't do every assignment I gave them so that they understood how crypto works.

Now when I get the results that look great they start asking again and I also remind them even they are not consistent in doing so.

hahaha I feel it too, even it took me years to be able to make thousands of dollars and PAD finally had a fairly stable portfolio in crypto.

A lot of time and effort was wasted in the past but is replaced today because it remains consistent and never gives up to earn more money in crypto.

Those who only know the extent of my income, just think that earning money in crypto is easy,
but in fact it is very difficult and takes a lot of time and hard work.

First of all, they don't! Because it is not a familiar/common topic to discuss about! You see, crypto is banned in my country! So the normal folks doesn't even know or aware of how it actually works! There is no crypto educations here! And tbh, I cannot tell anyone about it, just imagine you are talking about a thing that is illegal in your place. You certainly don't wanna get yourself in trouble!

As for the my friends, family close ones, they don't know the details, I never explained them anything deep. They just know crypto is a form of digital currency. How it works, how it is earned, where can I get it, or how it is different from fiat, they aren't aware!

Agree, it's much easier to send a link to a video from a bitcoin influencer or a crypto news site to a friend or relative.

I've already tried to explain what bitcoin is, how it works and examples of its use, but it's hard work. It's way easier to just grab a video or playlist and send it to a friend, because people prefer to watch videos and listen to them like a podcast.

Of course, I'd never ask someone to watch a video from a complete stranger, I only share content from someone who I already know or follow. The more knowledgeable and well-informed the influencer is, the better it will be for the person being introduced to Bitcoin.
I would never share a video from a channel that's shady, promotes scams or pushes Ponzi schemes.

When I introduce Bitcoin to people, I usually don't mention that it's a digital currency, because that doesn't matter. After all, bitcoin is a universal, censorship-free currency that circulates on the internet. It's comparable to fiat money, but it doesn't have its disadvantages (inflation and surveillance/censorship).... This is just one example of how I would explain Bitcoin to a layperson. There are N ways to explain Bitcoin.

So, what if your friend asks you "what is cryptocurrency? and how does it work to make money?"

8 years ago, you would have had to spend hours before you could explain to them how cryptocurrency works, but now with so many articles and videos created about cryptocurrency, all I have to do is lead them to trusted sources that can fully explain to them through infographics or videos.
We now have thousands of authorities on Youtube and online news aggregators just pick the best ones and just send them to your friend and they will have the full grasps if they watch these videos in a day

I don't think that there are thousands of authorities in Youtube about crypto. I mean information are still very fairly young as the market itself. You can just call them influencers. But it could be that your knowledge is better than team as we have been in the market for at least 8 years now.

So it's better if we ourselves are the one going to guide this newbies instead of pointing them to Youtube. On the contrary they could be confused on what they read. Or better yet, just point out Bitcointalk or they community so go to thousands of topics and search if they have question.

Yes, when we work in the crypto world for years not only does one study and learn about something but also views the changes that take place. This is why knowledge that we have is of different value than information that is storey-based. Some of the persons who join the market quickly try to seek answers from the videos or social platforms that only increase the confusion at times. Members of this board who have gone there before can for sure be a safer place for them to seek answers or information. Old open areas of discussion that for example date back to the very early days of cryptocurrency discussion board, like Bitcointalk also are a major part of what can not be controlled the same way by particular algorithms or trends of the moment. Feeling that people get an access to one or two so lively with an alive and growing source even if it is through a cursorory browse of the Internet sense is much more suitable.

Honestly, it's very tiring, because I once gave knowledge about cryptocurrency to one of my friends... every time he wanted to know something new, he asked me... and I answered according to what I know, but I also still provide references to YouTube channels or other educational web links, so that he gets knowledge from another perspective...

Therefore, I tend to prefer to include links and YouTube channels that I trust too..

We can very simply say that crypto is a digital payment platform but most people use it for online transactions because crypto is illegal in many countries. However, where it is legal then the people use it to buy physical assets. I will also give him basic ideas on how to profit from investing and trading. All these things give a kind of long experience, but the person who wants to keep everything his own experience is the one who succeeds. I taught only a few people about the crypto world, but many left after they got jobs.

If my friend asks about crypto currency then I'll first give him information about the cryptocurrencies and about crypto market. After that I will share different ways which one can use to make money in crypto market.

The main way will always be to invest in Bitcoin with DCA and dip buying method. I would also tell my friend that how to be safe from crypto scams and rug pulls and definitely I will tell him to go for personal wallet instead of relying on custodial wallets.

I've been asked and have also answered many of my friends: crypto is a new asset class outside of stocks and commodities, accompanied by technology. In it, BTC can be considered Digital Gold, and ALTs can be considered currencies for their own services through smart contracts.

Honestly, it's very difficult to explain everything about crypto to a newbie, and I also don't want to persuade them to join this risky market. They should just know a little bit to easily learn about crypto on Google, through ChatGPT, or crypto forums. After that, participating in or staying out of this market is their own decision.

Everyone already knows how to use google today, they are just not understanding the techie terms.

I also have tried answering in a very simplest term but I used the digital cash wallet that we use in our country to explain it. In the end they are just too polite in not saying they don't understand it being a currency. It needs a demonstration for them to understand. It would take more hours to completely make them understand even to exchange the coins to cash may take a lot of explaining.

Man, it's much easier to explain cryptocurrencies to the younger ones than they older generation. Because todays age is the age of technology, which makes it easier for them to grasp the main concepts of cryptocurrencies. But for older people, for whom technical knowledge still a fairy tale, those who have never heard of cryptocurrencies, explaining it to them becomes one of the toughest job. Even my father struggles to understand the key concept. For the older generation, they are pretty skeptical of these things, for them it is hard to believe that money can exist in thin air. No matter how much I try to explain it to them, they think of it as something illogical and illegal. For them, only paper money is the real thing. This is why I no longer try to explain it to anyone, it just gives me unnecessary headache!

I can relate with how frustrating it is to be explaining something that in your logical view makes perfect sense and is worthy to be implemented or considered then people suspect its motives or deem it senseless. Sometimes people have accumulated a lot of knowledge in their heads and it is hard to change it, even if the concepts have emerged only in the end of the last century, and the things they learn are such things which cannot be seen or touched. That is all you were expected to do, and indeed doing that is enough. However, not all people will be ready to accept new things as change is not anyone’s fault. It is better sometimes not to attempt to say anything at all rather than keep on arguing something that one does not wish to listen or hear. You did well in understanding it and therefore it is unnecessary to justify to anyone on it. In that regard, there are moments when it is preferable to stay silent for the sake of some people and avoid touching certain topics.

You don’t explain crypto. You explain the problem crypto tried to solve, and whether it did or not is still contested

Start here: The current financial system is slow, expensive, and exclusionary. Not everyone has a bank, not everyone trusts governments, and transaction control is weaponized. Crypto was engineered to bypass all of that. Not to destroy the system. Just to expose its fragility

So when friends ask, I keep it raw:

It makes money because people believe in scarcity. Because tokens can represent real or perceived utility. Because early adoption is always rewarded by late curiosity

But most people don’t care about cryptography or decentralization. They care about income. So show them staking yields, P2E models, or stablecoin lending. Keep it concrete. Don’t preach. Don’t defend. Just lay it out

Because crypto isn’t a religion. It’s a question: Do you still trust the old system? If yes, skip it. If not, start learning

Why not make it simple for those who only care about income by showing them the historical chart of Bitcoin and its growth over time? Tell them about people who bought Bitcoin in the past and managed to gain enormous value for their purchases in recent times by holding onto their assets. This is the easiest and by far the most convincing thing for a newbie because they wouldn't understand P2E models or stable coin lending if they are just getting started.

Personally, I don't believe in trying to convince people to do something when I know there is no benefit in that for me, and for their benefit, it's enough from me to just tell them about it and if they don't want to get in and expect me to convince them, they are expecting that from the wrong person. If I told you it's a beneficial thing, the rest is your responsibility; do your research, gain knowledge, and then get started. If you don't want to, no problem.

It's the same as money that it has got a value but they have to exchange it first into a better crypto if they're holding altcoins that are unknown. And not just money, it also plays as a stock and they are aware of stock market so it's easier for them to understand crypto are the same as stocks that it's volatile but at the same time can also be used as money for payments.

In order not to make it sound not too flashy, I will just say it is another form of money that can be used as alternative to the fiat currencies. It is also an investable asset that you can invest into for a period of time and gain good profits from but have to be done with the right knowledge.

That’s how simple I’ll explain it for them but if I want to diversify more into it, that’s when I will begin to come about trading, those parts are not more part of the basics to know about cryptocurrency but will also be tipped on a general notice.

Cryptocurrency is a simple subject and the material to introduce someone into it is readily available at whatever point in time, so you may not need to actually interact with the person at any point in time.

After analyzing crypto i discuss the advantages and disadvantages here so that the steps they want to take will be the easiest. I also accept crypto as a second source of income and I want to inform everyone about it well. Since the type and amount of profit here is uncertain, one should not always worry about crypto. Cryptocurrency provides employment opportunities through investment and trading, where there will be a profit or loss calculation. However, I don't give too much exciting information about crypto because those who come here without understanding will lose money.

I will simply answer what is cryptocurrency and what does it mean with practical examples, so they could understand it easily. If they show some interest without me explaining how they can make some extra money too, then I won't at start but if they did not show interest, then to motivate them I will add the money part haha.

You know people, most of the people prefer money first and knowledge second, therefore, according to their nature I will add more if needed. The point is, if they are interested and we have time, why not sharing them the knowledge we have.

Well, the problem is like what you are talking about, they are too enthusiastic about investing in crypto, without having a good understanding, easily carried away by FOMO, and also easily panic. This will be a combo of failure that will very easily happen to people like that.

You can just use yourself as an example of how they can get to earn from cryptocurrency. If you’re already into it, then you can explain to them what you mean by it. I don’t think it is something hard to explain. Cryptocurrency is already taking the financial market globally, so it will very hard that you will see a literate person that haven’t heard of it before or has not tried to show interest in it before to make money. The crypto world is already making waves and as such, I don’t think you need to seek to hear from people how to explain to your friends what bitcoin is all about. You just have to understand its concept and develop yourself by avoiding the cons and focusing more on the pros to make you good money.

It depends on the basic knowledge of our friends. If they already know digital investment, it may not be difficult to explain it to them. Especially if they are really interested in crypto. However, if they never know digital investment and they aren't interested in crypto, it will be quite difficult to explain it. Moreover if they don't like something like digital investment, they prefer physical investment. In this condition, they must always think that physical investment is more suitable for them. Well, we can make our selves as the example if we already achieve something quite impressive. But if we haven't achieved something quite well, I don't think it is good to make our selves as the example. They will assume that we still can't achieve anything, so why we invite other people!  :D

The majority of people find it difficult to comprehend how cryptocurrencies work and operate, and some even dismiss it as a rumor. However, I think that as time goes on, the generation will adjust to the new decentralized banking system, and eventually, the global cryptocurrency culture will surpass people's preconceived notions, so the sooner the better.

Unless you are sure that your friend is really interested in learning, do not waste your strength to speak about it. Sometimes the best way to convince your friends is by your results, that is what they see.

Talking to your friends about bitcoins and investing in it when you have no results to show for it will only be a waste of time.

Talking to your friends about bitcoins and investing in it when you have no results to show for it will only be a waste of time.

Why do it in the first place? Even if you are investing and having good results, you don't need to show it to anyone unless someone specifically asks and you believe that person and know is actually sincere with you. Whether it's a friend or family member, if you don't get asked about cryptocurrencies or investments in them, if someone doesn't show interest or initiates the conversation, you don't need to do it because it isn't going to end well for you and I'll tell you why.

Most humans have a tendency to blame others when they face problems in doing something that was suggested by others when they weren't showing any interest themselves. So, for example, if your friend doesn't ask you about crypto, but you initiate it by saying that crypto is great, and you should invest in it blah blah, and your friend takes your word and makes an investment. Now, if he makes a mistake and invest in the wrong token or coin and loses his money, you are the one who is going to take the blame for it because you suggested it and he didn't ask himself.

So, protect yourself from these things, and keep your stuff to yourself only.

Cryptocurrency has no price certainty and that certainly makes cryptocurrency very dangerous for those who are not familiar with it. If there are lay people and ask me about cryptocurrency, I immediately refuse at that time or I pretend not to know.
It is more humane to pretend not to know and immediately change the topic from the cryptocurrency because I want my friend not to be carried away by Fomo to invest in cryptocurrency. Maybe for me, cryptocurrency is enough to be studied but it should not be known by the people we love around us.

It's annoying when we talk about Bitcoin with friends because they usually assume we have a lot of cryptocurrency, which often isn't true. People tend to think you're rich and start asking you for things. Really frustrating.

It's funny how with Bitcoin and others crypto, people who know you have it will tell others (about your profits or losses) without your consent. As if BTC were just some poker chip or toy... Why do people behave this way?

I get people's attention by merely stating the fact that how much cryptocurrencies fluctuate, they usually focus on potential to make money with these fluctuations and disregard the fact that it works both ways and they can lose just as easy too.

This is what I mean, some people always ask me for explanation and ask about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin because they hear false news from others.. so, we have to give an explanation when they want facts about what we do for cryptocurrency while providing correct information about Bitcoin... those who are skeptical will ask us directly about Bitcoin, crypto and how money works... this is what I mean when I have to explain Bitcoin to a beginner or new person...

Basically, not all of them want to get trading knowledge, but they are just curious about what we do... is it true according to what others say, or vice versa... our job is only to clarify the real truth by explaining Bitcoin to them in easy-to-understand language... often I use simple analogies so that they do not misunderstand what I mean....

It's annoying when we talk about Bitcoin with friends because they usually assume we have a lot of cryptocurrency, which often isn't true. People tend to think you're rich and start asking you for things. Really frustrating.

I really get where you’re coming from. Whenever we mention Bitcoin or any crypto generally, people always assume we are the richest whereas we are just the space. This is why i keep my life private, because people tend to cross boundaries, you just realize one day that people are gossiping about one’s finances. Most people lack understanding about crypto, they think crypto is a get-rich quick space.
