Post by: bitterguy28 on April 01, 2025, 07:32:41 AM
elon musk finally said that the us government has no plans of using doge anytime soon now the price has dropped i am wondering if the holders of doge now plans on selling their doge or has already sold them? does this announcement change how you will approach doge or will you continue to hold? i do think that doge can still be useful but what do some of you think?

I'm not sure how someone could be so naively optimistic to ask about the possibility of the government accepting DOGE. Even BTC hasn't been able to become a currency in the US, despite it being accepted as a legal asset.

Even the most optimistic investor wouldn't dare put the future of the world's largest economy in the hands of a fun memecoin in this emerging market. The USD will remain the strongest currency in the world for many years to come, thanks to America's position and the expansion of USDT.

I don't think this will make DOGE lose its fans, it's still the top memecoin in this market and will soon explode again in the uptrend. This could even just be FUD news to give whales a chance to buy DOGE at a low price.

you’d be surprised with how optimistic people can be they can be straight up delusional when it comes to predictions that they often talk about unrealistic things happening but i guess that’s what happens when crypto is very unpredictable in itself

i guess we’ll have to see like i said doge can still be useful and it hasn’t died all these years for a reason

I don't believe Elon takes cryptocurrency seriously, outside from investment purpose and possible attempt of market manipulation (which got dismissed by court[1]). So this announcement doesn't change my perspective towards DOGE.

We'll see whether it's FUD or not. But i doubt it when AFAIK Trump doesn't mention of using or adopting DOGE either.

I don't think it will have a negative impact on the doge community investor believers. Probably some will sell and others will just ease up and then they will still accumulate via dca. Because we know that there are only two types of investors, long and short-term.

You can only buy from these two, you can also do them together, short and long, that's all. Because that's what I'm doing, honestly, as of the moment,
even if it's just a little bit.

If we will think about it, how will the government use DOGE? I mean what will be the time where they will use DOGE? None, so at first place, this isn't realistic at all because the government will not use DOGE at first place. :D

It's just hilarious that there are some that takes this seriously. A meme coin to be used by the government? Like, seriously? Anyway, I don't hold DOGE as of this moment but thinking of holding some in the future. I can't think of any good use-case of DOGE.

It's been a long time since Musk's statements sparked a significant shift in the market, so I don't think he has any interest in making such statements or manipulating the market as he did in the past.
In all previous Bitcoin cycles, the influence of those in previous cycles doesn't carry over to the current cycles, and thus Elon Musk's influence has become limited.

Elon Musk has no time to be so serious with crypto. It is not surprising if Elon Musk only wants to takes advantage from Dogecoin. Now, he may forget it because Elon Musk does a more convincing project. It is just too much that there are people who assume Doge price to be $1 or even $100 because of the factor of Elon Musk.

We'll see whether it's FUD or not. But i doubt it when AFAIK Trump doesn't mention of using or adopting DOGE either.
I don't know, as far as I know I don't hear that Trump or Elon Musk to use Doge. It is just a rumor made by people.

The US is a big country, it is very difficult to accept altcoins with relatively low stability and even the US government can make more strategic decisions with XRP than DOGE...it is true, DOGE is always connected to Elon Musk, and Elon Musk is connected to the US government, but that does not mean DOGE is a strategic currency for the needs of a big country.... the cabinet still considers other aspects so that the country does not weaken....

If I still have DOGE, I will continue to hold it, yes because my goal is not to wait for DOGE's position to be present in the US government, this is because DOGE is currently the best memecoin that can be held for a longer period of time in the future, in other words for long-term holding purposes, DOGE is still quite good.

Doge is a meme coin, it has no fundamental. The future of this coin isn't clear. I'm sure US government is quite smart to avoid this coin. So, it is not surprising if US government doesn't want to choose Doge as one of their crypto reserves. Elon Musk has nothing to do with Dogecoin, he isn't the creator of Dogecoin.

It is up to you to keep holding or not. But I'll never to hold it for a long time if I still have Doge. It must be sold in the current cycle, I will never have an idea to keep it until the next cycle.
