Title: will usa be all alone?
Post by: bitterguy28 on April 05, 2025, 01:43:38 PM
allyship is important as they say that no man is an island

you can’t be on your own surely there is something you need from someone at least once so this applies to international relations as well you may have heard that china, south korea and japan have joint forces to respond to trump’s tariffs since they are neighboring countries they decided to help each other
korea and japan are part of the biggest exporter of vehicles to usa (https://www.cnbc.com/2025/03/30/south-korea-china-japan-to-promote-regional-trade-as-tariffs-loom.html) this agreement between the three countries can be massively helpful to them and might be massively harmful to the us

now i wonder if whether other countries will also start making agreement to respond to us’ tariffs like maybe the asean joining forces soon? what do you think?

A temporary Asean coalition to counter the US tariff is possible except maybe for the Philippines which is currently acting like a US outpost thanks to the current head of the government ;D As to the question, I think there will come a point when Trump would ease up when there is a greater push back. I read that European countries are also preparing for counter measures.

I think China has done it already with 34% cmiiw. Seems I heard him saying that Trump will impose tariff to the Philippines if the current administration will do nothing about the return of FPRRD to the country though I am not sure of the legitimacy of these information since I only see it online. I don't think the current administration will retaliate if affected by the tariff since the country needs America regarding the tension in the Indo-Pac region we need more support than a nonsense retaliation that could destroy partnerships as allied nations.

South Korea, China, Japan seem an unlikely team but okay. these guys hate each other due to meddling each other.

well it looks like they are isolating themselves due to this tariff but America is a big continent with lots of countries in it including Canada with massive oil resources.  and then there's Venezuela down the south.  they also can produce US made cars and Tesla which is Elon's masterpeices. everything they need is there.

The latest update is that Trump paused the implementation in many countries. I think he is surprised by the  reaction of many countries. Trump thought that they will just bow down and will not retaliate.
Now we will see after 90 days if he is going to totally stop it or will continue to implement it, so we have to brace ourselves because Trump is so unpredictable.

he knew countries will retaliate because there will be a huge loss upon exporting their products to US and to make up for that loss, they need to also impost tariff that's going into their country.

this was plan to crash the market they. several officials calling SEC of what Trump is going because its very intentional, they know markets are going to crash. Trump and Elon must have been buying while the cash happens and when they are done, they lift the tariff for 90 days. they beat pelosi for this.
