Title: My Crypto Savings Experiment: 100% APR in USDT
Post by: Sozo on April 06, 2025, 05:58:27 PM
Last year, I lost a significant amount of money in a crypto scam. It was a tough lesson, but it taught me to be more cautious and diversify my portfolio.

Recently, I decided to try something new. I put $5,000 USDT into a savings account that offers a 100% APR booster. I know it sounds too good to be true, but I'm willing to take the risk.

Here's my question: Are high-yield savings accounts the future of crypto investing, or are they just a fad?

I'm super curious to know how you can snag a 100% APR on USDT savings! Usually, holders only get around 4%-5% when they put their coins in Savings. Binance's Dual Investment can offer up to about 270% APR, but it comes with a bunch of risks.

If you can really earn a 100% APR on a 5K USD investment for the long haul, you should totally keep doing it because that's way better than any bank savings! Just be careful and really dig into that platform or Savings program. I'm a little worried it might only last a few days.

Personally, I only trust Binance and will only Save my USDT on the world's biggest CEX!

IMO you either fell into scam or deceptive marketing.

Here's my question: Are high-yield savings accounts the future of crypto investing, or are they just a fad?

I would say it's just deceptive marketing to attract new customer. Extremely high APR usually only offered for limited time and amount.

I'm also curious to know which platform is offering such an attractive saving program. It's clearly not sustainable without strict limitations to protect CEXs. Investors need to carefully read the details of the Saving program to proactively manage their assets.

Personally, I'd be skeptical of this program and only trust the services of top CEXs. For now, I'm still focused on DCA & holding tokens, but next year, after taking profits, I'd also like to increase returns from holding stablecoins. I hope that stablecoins that share revenue will be a reliable and worthwhile option to try.

It's even difficult to give an opinion without you telling us which service or protocol is offering you 100% APR

As they've already said, it could just be an offer valid for a few days, with a limit, or even be a variable APR that goes down as more money is invested

What is the service?

I'm actually not so sure of this because most staking offers I've come across are usually within the range of 3-5% but a hundred is way to much if you ask me almost like too good to be true. There is a very high chance that something like this is a Ponzi.

Besides you seem to either be bluffing or you are just being unnecessarily greedy because 100% returns doesn't seem realistic in almost any line of staking except Ponzi.

Is this marketing?
Do you own the platform?

My experience so far in cryptocurrency has never found USDT savings with 100% APY, so I'm surprised to see this topic.
If you've tried the platform and invested around 5,000 dollars, where is the website?
Is this just a gimmick to create new news in cryptocurrency?

100% interest rates in a bank account. :D It's a good idea to go bankrupt...

Passive investment in crypto it possible but making anything huge like double or 10x is close to impossible and there are lot of manipulators and shills spread fake news to advertise an exchange but when we read the fine print, the offer applies doe few days and there is cap limit for that return.

It's very lookrative at first glance , you can take the risk if it's providing from any solid and trusted sources. Other wise my suggestion that don't go for it. It can be very risky otherwise.

In past you can see lots of platform are not operating right now those which was giving high APR. 100% APR no business can sustain in this model for long run , either they will scam or they have a shorter period of promotion. Some platform offer's their new user 100% APR to attract and grab some new investor into platform. If you're source is reliable than it's ok otherwise it will be like ponzi scam .
