I know you are scared about the question because alot of people would actually lose their money, but in this space nothing is impossible, so if $SOL just got dip to $2 what will you actually do? will you still have the believe that it will come back and buy more or you will eventually forget about anything $SOL in this space? Let us have answers, good morning!

Back in 2021, a KOL once predicted that the SOL price would drop from over 200 USD to 20 USD during the crypto winter of 2026, and he was heavily mocked because many believed that the SOL price would never fall below 100 USD. When the SOL price plummeted to 10 USD at the end of 2022 after the FTX collapse, no one dared to buy SOL.
Now, the Solana ecosystem has grown incredibly strong, and the value of SOL is quite firmly established. However, if the market has issues and the SOL price sharply declines to 2 USD, I believe many investors will be fearful and won't dare to buy SOL. I'd be scared too, but I'd use around a few dozen USD to buy a few SOL just for fun, like a lottery ticket with the market :)
-
That's a great question
The price of SOL has already seen an almost unbelievable drop from its peak of 250 USD to less than 10 USD at the end of 2022
But that drop wasn't “organic”, it was due to the collapse of FTX which took down FTT and SOL at the time (and also pretty much took down the entire crypto market).
I came to believe that Solana was going to reach almost zero and run out of devs
If the price drops to 2 dollars, it would be due to something disastrous, some hack, glitch etc

Lol alot of people may actually lose hope because they will believe that such project at this level should not go that low

It's actually a game of liquidity. Basically before so gets to $2 the sell pressure will be so high that the downtrend wouldn't even have time to make retests and as a result of that you will even be scared to buy sol. Basically people don't judge with the market based on the past only they usually judge it based on what they hope to see relating to the past.
With Respect to this particular question it simply means that the sell pressure is so high that buying is like going against the market so it's like a gamble.

I havea ladder down buy that began at 106

I hit the 106 and the 97
but I am not sure I want to tie up the cash to drop as low as 2 bucks
-
yeah..because the chances it bounces back are high. It's good thing to buy it now since the market seems bad in general.

I have my doubts, because if it falls to 2 dollars, as I said, it will be because of something catastrophic, or a major failure and everyone will be afraid to buy it
A good example for those who believe in buying a coin that has plummeted in value is OM (Mantra), which has fallen 90% and no one wants to buy it.
-
Historically, any altcoin that has collapsed has never been able to recover to its ATH.
So if $SOL reaches a price close to $2, it's the end of it.
-
I will buy 5000 SOL if it does go to $2. :D
But will it happen? And this is just a fantasy there is no way sola will go as low as 90 declines unless the market is severe and bitcoin hits a low of $10,000.
When it is bearish, people will be a lot less trusting especially new investors, therefore I will still buy because the sol ecosystem will still grow.

I set sell ladders say 260 290 320 350 380
I set buy ladders 88 down to 34
And I will stack by my hotspot miner and by my staking

- If ever the price of Solana drops by $2, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, actually. Though, I know that's impossible because the development and improvement of Solana continues at this time. And many whale investors have also taken hold of it, especially in long-term holdings.
Then there are also countless developers who continue to create coins, particularly meme coins under the Sol network, even though we say that many of them
are just fomo and scams in the end, but they still contributed to the crypto market, actually.

Anything can happen in the future, especially in this extremely harsh crypto winter. We've seen SOL price pushed down to $8, and we've also seen how EOS has failed. I'm not sure about anything even though I love Solana and expect it to compete fairly with Ethereum and Bnb chain in the future.
In the event that SOL price drops to $2, we will analyze the reasons and the state of the market at that time together. If Solana is still a potential ecosystem, we can continue to trust and accumulate a lot of SOL. Honestly, I quite regret being scared and refusing to accumulate SOL in the sub-$10 price zone.

It's really funny to read these topics. Because SOLANA will never be worth $2 unless it's a scam like LUNA. SOL is a very popular ecosystem at the moment and its chain is very strong and doesn't use EVM like other chains. It's their own chain. I don't think anything like that will ever happen to SOL. But if it does, I will definitely buy SOL at that time. However, if something like that happens, everyone in the entire crypto market will be afraid to buy it because they all saw the LUNA crash.
-
I will see the situation first at that time, if the problem is too complicated, or there is a collapse condition, and so on that does not allow SOL to go up, then I will not risk my money to buy this kind of fund. I understand that SOL is currently a very potential and promising project. but if at that time it is no longer, then I would prefer other coins that at that time were indeed much more potential. because, as we experienced before with several top old coins, which in fact could drop and could not survive over time due to certain reasons.
-
What a surprise. Somebody asked on another forum if I'll buy Bitcoin if it drops to $500 (or maybe it's here too? I can't remember). I think I'll answer with the same response to your question, which is that I'd research the market first before making any decision. Just knowing the price is not enough of a factor for me to decide whether I should buy the assets. Even if I'm greedy, history taught us that coins that are in the top 10 in the past failed to make a significant recovery except for a few of them. Even as of now, I'm still not fully convinced that Sol has that ability to recover after a major dump, especially if the competition becomes fiercer.

Actually, your comment is also very prefer in this moment. So i am also agree with your best opinion. We know that solana is one of the best profitable crypto in cryptocurrency world. I think that gradually solana price reach best position in cryptocurrency market. I think that if solana price reach remain under $2, i don’t give up hope for this crypto. Because i believe that this potential crypto will reach best position in future. So i think that if we want to invest in this crypto, i believe that it will be correct decision for us. Because we expect that, if bitcoin price reach best position then solana price will increase gradually.

so if $SOL just got dip to $2 what will you actually do?
Yes, I will buy it in bulk, I will put at least 40% of my capital in it and leave that for at least a few years. If the price goes to $4 I will take my initial capital back and let the rest for at least 5 to 10 years and then I must be among the richest in my community. ;)

If for example the developer and his team still continue to think about remembering SOL, and continue to make the price of SOL have the possibility or potential to increase. yes I will also do that. But if the conditions do get worse, the reality is that Solana experiences bad things like what happened to FTX or something like that, then I will think again. In essence, we see what kind of situation makes the price of SOL collapse at only $ 4 later.

That's too cheap actually but for me, I don't go all in to this I might buy but Im only buy partially I think $50 would be enough for me because it's risky we do not know what is going on with SOL why it reach $2 from $100+ there might be a reason why it drop a lot. I might only buy it when I see a reversal pattern.

This becomes more realistic because we should also learn what Sol experienced so that its price plummeted, of course we have to analyze not just buy it because the price is "cheap".
I can't answer that easily, because again I will see what the actual situation is. And of course when there is a good opportunity and let's say it's a discount, then maybe I will allocate most of my money to buy it.

the cryptocurrency market including SOL can be influenced by various factors beyond just liquidity and sell pressure. Investors attitudes and emotions plays a significant role on shaping price movement, also underlying factors like adoption, technology and use cases can drive long term value.

As more and more meme coins are being launched on the network it will definitely become stronger. It's just an expression of how important adoption is at maintaining price movement. Back in the day we can still remember how ETH grew super fast too.
For those that can recall too, back then during the growth of ETH it was also a major pioneer for altcoins. Until recently when fees took an odd turn on the ethereum network.

These issues are only proving how much faith someone has in the top coins. Although these are not very important issues. But it is very exciting to know someone's opinion on these issues. That is why I do not consider it off-topic. I enjoy these issues. And if something like this really happened and there was an opportunity to buy SOL at this price like in those earlier days, it would have been a lot of fun. And everyone would have bought and saved SOL, BITCOIN according to their ability. If it may never be possible, it does not seem boring to discuss.
-
I don’t think you have to be scared because having this kind of price is a very special discount. It’s good deal probably it is a steal. I don’t think it would happen though.

For now, solana is still potential, so I think this coin is still worth holding. but we also have to have a lot of coins in our wallet to be able to increase the opportunity to get profit. BNB, XRP are also good coins to hold besides bitcoin and ethereum

If there is no something big happening, I'm sure there is no chance that SOL will drop to $2. The current price is above $150 and its ATH is $294, it is too far to drop to $2. If SOL drops to $2, I honestly will stop invest in SOL because it is too far declining. Most of investors must leave SOL and it may be the end of SOL in the market. Most of exchanges probably start to delisting SOL from their markets. So we have no reasons to buy SOL anymore.

if sol drops to $2 it is too big a drop.
maybe someone made a wallet cracker (not likely)
maybe four or five countries ban it. ( more likely than a wallet cracker)

Have you forgotten that Solana is also almost the same as the decline you mentioned?
$249 in August 2021 and dropped to $9 in January 2023. Is that a symbol of the end of Solana?
Even if the price of Solana coins is currently at $151 and then drops to $2, it is very possible.
We'll see as investors whether they are able to buy more Solana coins or they will leave Solana coins so quickly like running away from a burning building.

I simply stake it on my Trezor. I just added 1 more to my stake today.
I now have 5 coins

For Solana to drop below $2, its total circulating supply would need to increase by hundreds of millions or else its network would crash. Now I don't believe that will ever happen.
And even if, for the sake of imagination, there is no way I will buy it, even if such a time comes in the future. Because if I buy it, I think the same thing will happen to me when people invested in Luna coin after it crashed and came to one or two dollars.

Hey Philip, you are a very experienced person in various cryptocurrency mining such as Bitcoin, Doge, EThereum etc. 8)
I also want to know why you dare to Stake Solana coins?
What makes you special about Solana coins?
Didn't you see the experience of Solana coins Dump from 249 dollars to 9 dollars?
Doesn't that make you anxious by having 5 Solana coins in your Trezor?
-
I would. I would put $100 and forgot about it, if it rises then good, if not it's ok as I can afford to lose $100.

After the FTX scam the price of each Sol fell to $9. At that time, Sol was very worthy for buying, but many people could not buy it at that time. Because they were afraid that Sol would also fall like FTX. But after a few days, it rose again above $100. If it fell to $2, many people would be afraid to buy. They would refrain from buying even though they had the opportunity. That's why I think we should buy the coin if it comes in at the expected price level and should not expect so little that it would not be credible.
-

Before it gets to that price, I would have already lost my interest in it, although it still depends on what happened to make the project crash so badly to that price. Whatever the case may be still, I know that it is not going to be that easy to convince people to invest back into the project. Many would have already seen it as a failed project and would not want to have anything to do with it again. $SOL is a very big crypto project that is amongst the top five in market cap, so I doubt such will happen to it.
-

I believe that after a big dump and went the price to $2 I will buy some. Why? Because that's what happened to LUNA before. But the thing is, it will not go back to it's average price like around $100. Many investors will not believe that there will be a come back in that big dump so that they will going to sell their coin at loss, but many believe including me that there would be buy back and pump the price to more than $10. So what I would do when this happens to Sol is to buy and sell at short term.
-

- I will do the same for sure like you said mate, it wouldn't matter if Solana wasn't potential, though it's impossible for it to fall by $2 but since this is a hyperbole question I can still answer if it ever actually happens.
And I'm also sure that most of us here will also buy it according to the capability budget they have when that actually happens in the future.
