USYK
vs
DUBOIS

19th JULY 2025

Usyk is a great boxer but I think his era is coming to an end.

In a hugely controversial decision, Dubois lost the first fight against Usyk in 2023. It was in round 9 he connected with what was deemed to be a low punch by the referee but many spectators disagree. Many thought Dubois won that fight before Usyk was given a chance to recover by the referee.

If Usyk wins he will be a third time unified champion (twice at heavyweight once at cruiser weight). If Dubois wins he will become the first British unified heavyweight champions since Lennox Lewis beat Evander Holyfield in 1999.

its been a long time since the British got a fighter who unified heavyweight. its probably a good time to have another. Usyk is up there for a long time and is getting older.

what is surprising is that Usyk knocked out Dubios back in 2023 yet he is given the shot to unification while Parker is set aside. it should have been a mandatory fight for Parker and Usyk. we will be seeing a big KO in July because there is always a big guy who ends up laying on the ground when heavyweight fighters fight.
